Itinerary
Depart from your centrally located London hotel in a private vehicle and soak up the scenery on the drive to Windsor. If you wish to customize your itinerary, please do so at the time of booking.
Choose whether to visit the town’s most prominent attraction, Windsor Castle. Venture within the opulent chambers of the castle and see the decadent State Chambers and St. George’s Chapel, and stroll around the 13-acre grounds.
Head into the town center to see the daily Changing of the Guard ceremony, a colorful performance in which vibrantly dressed soldiers march to the rhythm of military drums. Watch the traditional show in awe and then head to Windsor Great Park to admire the symmetrical rows of trees and bright flowerbeds on a stroll of the Long Walk.
You can opt to visit Eton, a historical town that's home to the prestigious Eton College, and browse the artisan boutiques in the area. Alternatively, choose to see the proximate town of Runnymede to visit the site upon which King John sealed the Magna Carta in 1215.
Relax during the journey back to London and enjoy the convenience of drop-off at your hotel.

We had a wonderful tour with Ahmed, who went out of his way to provide us with London history en route to Windsor Castle. He was professional and courteous and ensured that we were comfortable for the journey. If you book a tour, be sure to ask for him!

The Viator description of the tour to Windsor Castle was misleading in that the guide took you to Windsor and return without including the tickets for entering Windsor. The Viator Windsor tour was handled primarily by Windsor personnel after buying the tickets which was the bulk of the tour time. The tour guide did provide a short ride through and overview of Eton and information during travel to/from Windsor. He did his best to make the tour good, even though the primary activity/description was done by the Windsor Castle ticket.

Beautiful castle, oh so many people to see it. Very crowded, but worth it. We used a private driver. Highly recommend this as the town is packed to the gills. I suspect trains and busses were too.

Ahmed was an incredible tour guide!!! He has a wealth of knowledge about British and world history and even more about the city of London. We learned so much from him during our roundtrip to Windsor Castle. One of our favorite parts was taking a detour through Runnymeade and seeing where the Magna Carta was signed. Would recommend Ahmed for any London tour guide.

Due to a misunderstanding; our driver left us in Windsor. Viator refunded half of the charge. We road the express train home.

This was an independent trip and was driven by a private driver. We were on our own and had about 2 hours to explore and see the palace. There was really no time for anything more than that. While we appreciated the comfort of riding in a car, we were disappointed with the driver's contribution to this trip. He had very little to say and mostly complained that the company he worked for should have told us to be ready for pick up at 9 am instead of 10 am. It was obviously and inconvenience for him and he went on and on about his unhappiness with this. Made us feel nervous as though we had done something wrong when in fact it was his company that made this determination - not ours. Do not expect to have a leisurely stroll around Windsor - you will need to be ready to go and reviewing the castle grounds and what you want to see before hand will be helpful. Also, if you can preorder your entry tickets, it will be helpful and shave off precious time.

This tour, unfortunately, was not at all as it was described on the website. It was merely an over-priced ride to Windsor Castle. For starters, the website states that the tour begins at 9am. After waiting in the cold for quite a while, we called the tour company and were told it actually began at 10am. The driver was kind enough to arrive as soon as possible. When he arrived, we had no option to see any other sites in or around Windsor or Eton and, when we asked the driver about tips, he didn't have anything to offer. As some of the previous reviewers noted, their drivers provided information about what they were seeing along the way. Our driver gave no information at all along the drive, or any information about the Castle. Very disappointing.

Driver arrived late,only because he claims his company does not start until 10am. Our trip was to start at 9am according to our Viator information. Driver then said his Company has inform you many times on this issue. I believe this miscommunication lead to less time at the Windsor,because of traffic.

When we bought this package over the phone we were told the tickets to the castle were included. The driver had no clue about that so we ended up purchasing tickets after he dropped us off. The driver was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our 4 hours we spent st the castle.

A wonderful tour. Ahmed, our guide, was prompt, knowledgeable, and very patient. Because of the large crowds we were delayed but he behaved as if we had all day. His grasp of the history of all UK was very impressive and he took the time to take us around Windsor to see what is not normal fare for tourists. We loved him and would recommend Viatour to all.

Our trip to Windsor Castle was great! Our driver Dusko Vujnovic was very professional. He drove us around the Castle area as well the Eton College area and was very informative about these places. Loved seeing the Castle, St George's Chapel, the grave of Henry VIII as well as all the places going out to and returning from the castle. Would recommend this trip to others!.Definitely a must see!
