I’m so glad we took this tour rather than just entering with the general public. So much to learn about.
Tisha_T, Jun 2026
Great tour, the refreshments were a nice addition at the tour start. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly.
Richard_P, Jun 2026
Excellent tour and guide. Well worth it. Very informative, and much more then can be learned by walking through the crowds
Jackie_L, Jun 2026
My flight was delayed and I never made the tour. I forwarded the tickets and 4 of the 9 of us made it and said it was good
MOLLY_M, Jun 2026
Viator booked way too many people in our group. There were about 20 in our group. The tour guide was 45 minutes late. He was great, but the logistics were poorly managed

Absolute wonderful experience with this tour, our tour guide (and I apologize I do not remember her name) was just wonderful. She was very animated and really got into the storytelling and made the stories come alive! very knowledgeable about where different dignitaries, poets and physicians are buried. highly recommend this tour to anybody going

Very enjoyable and informative experience. My guide, Nick, was fun, entertaining and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend arranging a tour and skipping the lines!

Zozo, our guide, was very warm and informative. He shared a lot of interesting information and history, and was definitely helpful in making this a great experience.

Very enjoyable and educational experience seeing the church. History and sites were well explained and we saw the place thoroughly. Totally worth it over just the headset and long lines.

Ana Marina was a great guide. Lots of information and got us into all the best spots at the right time to avoid the crowds.

Two star review is generous -
Complete disappointment and not worth half the tour price. Guide was rude as was greater. Mailed in the history. Group was lost and divided at least twice. Rushed through the royals. Blew past many displays saying “I’ll tell you if it’s royalty” and didn’t pause at any significant historic figures. Didn’t mention Oliver Cromwell until asked. Spent way too much time on Richard I and Braveheart and blew past the Stewart markers. Yes, it was rainy and crowded, but professional guides can manage such things Had similar professional guide tour at the Vatican which was many times better. Perhaps Viator has better guides and we drew the short straw. But I think other tours around us were far better - even the provided audio guides would have covered more
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Dear Brenda,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
We are very sorry to hear that you found both the greeter and the guide to be rude. This was not our intention, and we always aim to ensure that every guest feels welcome and well looked after.
On the day of travel, the weather was rainy and the representative asked everyone to find shelter while waiting for the rest of the group to arrive. The Abbey was also very crowded, which made it more challenging to keep the group together, and the guide did briefly lose some guests. However, they were able to locate and bring everyone back together safely.
Westminster Abbey is a site where visitors could easily spend several hours exploring in depth. Different guests often come with very different interests—some are drawn to the monarchs, others to military history, scientists, poets and writers, architecture, or religious heritage. As this was a highlights tour for a mixed public group, it is not possible to cover all areas in depth in a single visit, as we must balance the experience to suit the wider group and manage time effectively.
A good Vatican highlights tour can leave visitors feeling they have seen most of the essentials. A good Westminster Abbey highlights tour should leave visitors with an understanding of the key areas and overall framework, as well as an idea of what they may wish to return and explore further.
Kind regards,
Premium Tours Team

Our tour guide assured us that we would not have a repeat of our previous tour's delay the day before, and then could not find our tickets on her phone, causing us to seek shelter in shade frim an unseasonably hot London day, while she took 15 minutes of our tour time to sort it out.
Rick_R, Jun 2026
Great experience, you really need a tour guide to appreciate all the amazing facts within the walls of the Abbey
RuthAnn_B, Jun 2026
Our Tour Guide, Peter, was super! He was extremely knowledgeable & fun, engaging both the youth AND adults in historical discussions as we toured the Abbey.
Ron_L, Jun 2026
Get Peter as a guide, he was outstanding. Didn’t realize that man people were buried there, including so many unchurched people. The beauty was stunning.
Tanya_M, Jun 2026
Excellent guide ZoZo, gave us lots of interesting information and made sure we saw enough of the Abbey in the 2 hours we had with him. No queuing, we were taken straight in via the West entrance and no need for ear phones either.
Kymberli_D, May 2026
We had an amazing guide in Amber. She was so much fun and so knowledgeable. When the tour finished she checked to make sure we were good and gave a few suggestions on what to see next!
Timothy_T, May 2026
Amber, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining. I know more about Westminster Abbey than I ever thought I would know because of her knowledge.Amber
Mary_S, May 2026
This is an excellent and full tour. There is way too much to absorb during the tour so stay longer and continue to meander through the Cathedral. Our guide was excellent and full of stories as well as basic facts. The crowds are large and got worse through the day.
Vickie_W, May 2026
Extremely overcrowded. Nothing was priority over anyone else on their own
Would go back on my own and not pay for this again
Carolyn_B, May 2026
This tour provided priority access to this world famous Abbey. Our guide was very knowledgeable and thoughtful, leading us through crowds of bank holiday weekend visitors. The history of the Abbey and the stories of the famous people buried there is awe-inspiring.
David_M, May 2026
Our guide was excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable. Be prepared to not be able to photograph or video all the experiences. The guide clearly tells you the rules. Follow them. Security is very stringent and they will forcibly stop you.
Joanne_M, May 2026
The Priority Access Westminster Abbey Tour With professional guide was disappointing in two ways. First, the tour title would suggest priority or special access. There was no priority access, we entered after other tours and the general public . It was very crowded and hard to navigate around all the people, certainly not priority access. Second, the tour information states you can “Skip the POST-tour snack hunt”. However, Coffee and pastries in the cellarium were FIRST. We had just come from breakfast as had everyone else at the table which made this experience not that enjoyable . Definitely not a post tour activity as stated. Our guide was very good, but there were some areas he could not walk with us due to the crowd.

Our tour of the abbey with Frank was outstanding. I’ve been there a number of times but Frank gave it a context I hadn’t experienced before. I learned a lot while at the same time enjoying the the time.
David_C, May 2026
There’s so much to see that having a guide was a must.. Our guide did an excellent job navigating the site in a fun and educational way.
Joy_G, May 2026
This may be a private tour, but the Abbey was very crowded with other tours and the general public. I got lost from my group as the tour guide was moving fast (and talking fast). He did not have a sign (like the other tour guides) so I could never find him again. It was quite frustrating and definitely not worth the price I paid for a private tour. I wound up walking around on my own and then joining another tour group as that guide felt sorry for me!
Yvonne_J, May 2026
It was informative and interesting. A lot of people in the Abbey. The guide was a nice chap.
I object to having to fill in a long review. I suggest you rectify this.
Katherine_M, May 2026
Frank was our tour guide and very knowledgeable about Westminster Abbey. He encouraged questions which was nice. We got a light breakfast to start. We did not have to wait in line which was very nice as it was already quite busy even though the Abbey wasn’t open yet.
rhonda_b, May 2026
Experience was absolutely amazing. The guide was very knowledgeable and personable! He loved answering questions and made sure we all enjoyed the experience.
Jill_C, May 2026
Great tour! Our guide, Zozo, was engaging and informative…not our first time at the Abbey but first time with a guide and so glad we did!
