Itinerary
In the morning, greet your guide outside of Tower Hill underground station. From there, you’ll make the short walk to the Tower of London. On arrival, your guide will give you context about the history of the Opening Ceremony, during which you’ll see the Duty Yeoman Warder and a military escort march to open both the middle Tower and the Byward Tower.
Then, you’ll be one of the first people to head inside the iconic London landmark and admire the Crown Jewels. After hearing about more than 1,000 years of history, you’ll continue to Tower Bridge, for panoramic views of England’s capital from the lookout point.

Our guide Clive was amazing. Funny and knowledgeable. As usual a lot of standing and walking.
The pouring rain dampened our spirits. But all in all very enjoyable.

Don was a wonderful guide. Well versed and knowledgeable he explained everything with detail. The meeting point was given on the ticket map. However, not being from London, you can be a little intimidated not knowing any location spot.

It is so much fun! Miranda was such a great storyteller! We could have spent all day listening to her stories…and she answered all our questions. The tour was very informative - and getting to know the beefeaters and then seeing the Crown Jewels with no line was so worth it.

This tour was spectacular! Warren was extremely knowledgeable and easy to interact with. The headsets were a super plus to the experience. Don was terrific, with a great radio voice. So much history, but in an easy pace to retain. Definitely recommend early priority access with this guide. We finished seeing the Crown Jewels just as the ‘unwashed of London’ (haha) were lining up to queue.

We took a 17 day trip to Europe, that included 8 cities and 4 countries, and this tour ended up being our favorite experience of the entire trip. Miranda was a fabulous guide, and getting into the Tower of London early to watch the opening keys ceremony and tour the crown jewels before the public was absolutely worth the price. Very expensive for what you get but very informative! The Tower has so much history and Don provided us with some good stories about the famous ones. Other groups meet up for the pre opening so it isn’t as exclusive as I thought. You would get to meet a Beefeater anyway once inside. Much time was spent counting the group at each stop. The meeting point is a distance from the Tower so be prepared for a lot a walking.

Leon was an amazing tour guide. He went out of his way to set expectations and tell us what was going to happen, when, where, and how. Lots of walking and steps. Be prepared and this is not the tour for people who have difficulties with steps.
Leon knew his stuff and had answers for all the questions directed his way. He was awesome and made the experience that much better.
It’s quite expensive but was worth the money.
The only complaint I had is that you did not have much time to roam around the Tower grounds and were herded off to the bridge by the designated time. I would have preferred the option to stay at the ToL to explore all things but I understand. Part of the excursion is the bridge and glass bottom walking part, and you have a specific time for that.
What we did get to do and see was amazing and I am just nitpicking. Leon rocks!

Great time at Tower of London; with this particular VIP option, you skip pretty much all the lines to the main sections (Royal Family jewels, etc). I wish it could last more time, but, after this experience, next coming you can just buy regular ticket and then concentrate on what interests you; also, our tour guide (John, from Ireland) was not only very knowledgeable, providing great factoids and unknown history stories, but also very funny!

While our guide was very knowledgeable, the fact that he had a friend with him to whom he chatted a lot was off putting. He also had a quiet voice & with a tickly cough, he was hard to hear at times.

It was great to beat the crowds at the Crown Jewels. As we left the Jewels there was already a line forming. The Beefeater ceremony was ok. Once we had the tickets for Tower Bridge we were on our own. The tour through the rest of the Tower was a little rushed. I would have liked to be able to return to the Tower of London to explore further. It was a good overview.

Very informative tour and our guide was Don. He had an exceptional amount of knowledge and was courteous. Enjoyed the opening ceremony at the Tower and seeing the Crown Jewels before it was busy. There were 20 people in our tour. I would prefer a smaller group if I did it again. Worthwhile tour but a bit long. Ended at the Tower Bridge and departed to explore.
