We really enjoyed our tour with James. The museum would have been incredibly overwhelming, but James took us to the highlights and provided interesting context and insight on all of the artifacts we saw. My two teenage sons were engaged the whole time, which is especially impressive given that it was quite warm in the museum.

We're very glad we booked this tour instead of trying to navigate the museum on our own, given that it's our first time visiting the British Museum.

Decent tour, guide was late and everything seemed chaotic. Next time I will do a self guided tour and save the money. Location is amazing!

Thank you for your feedback. We’re pleased you enjoyed the guide and museum. We would like to clarify that Daniel was at the meeting point on time. The tour started a few minutes later because he waited for late-arriving participants rather than leaving them behind.
While the British Museum is free, we reserve priority entrance tickets months in advance so guests can enter even during peak periods. Without these, entry may be unavailable when capacity is reached, or guests may face the much longer non-priority queue. The price covers the 2-hour guided tour and securing priority entry, not museum admission.

This is the way to initially see the museum . You get the highlights and an orientation to the rest of the museum. The guide was excellent, very informative and personable. He was able to keep adults and teenagers interested. We spent another 4 hours seeing more of what peeked everyone’s interest.

Joey is incredibly knowledgeable and humorous as he skillfully guides the group through the many rooms and throngs of visitors. He was also very supportive with our visitor in a wheelchair.

Joey was a spectacular and very knowledgeable tour guide and explained things in detail. I felt like I learned a lot! Additionally, he called us to make sure we were on our way when he didn’t see us before the tour started.

Excellent visit through a very busy venue. James led us to important parts of the museum and provided interesting detail to complement the exhibits. It would be very easy to get lost and miss a lot without a guide.

Really enjoyed this tour with Daniel as our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, very personable, and seemingly answered every question I had before I could even ask it. Frankly, I was intimidated by the size and scale of the British Museum before our visit, but Daniel did a fantastic job breaking down thousands of years of history into manageable, meaningful chunks.

It was brutally hot inside but Daniel's expert commentary made it all worthwhile. He is so energetic, knowledgeable and even awe-inspiring (in his knowledge)!! Is he a professor or something???

Guides are very informative. Museum itself very crowded and uncomfortably warm for the most part with summer temperatures (museum issue, not tour service issue). Best to attend/experience when temperatures are more mild.

Our guide was James and he was amazing - very informative without being verbose. The tour was just the right length with highlights of the British Museum. Otherwise, the museum has lots to see and one can spend an entire day looking at everything. The only downside was that the museum does not have air conditioning and our visit was during the hottest time of the day during a very hot day (33C/92F).

The British Museum is huge and will potentially have thousands of people and it has virtually no air conditioning! I would not go on a hot day. As far as the guide goes very informative. Great for ancient history lovers, but, the temp can make you miserable if you are not ready for it.
