Jack the Ripper tour that never happened, but good fish & chips joint

The only reason I’m giving this tour a rating of 2 stars is because of the fish & chips. Poppie’s was a cute place (50’s style diner) with very good, fresh, fish & chips, with lots of different types of fish to choose from. I highly recommend going there. Sadly our tour didn’t happen. The original directions to the meeting place were vague. The meeting place changed and those directions were worse than the original directions. It took us 45 minutes to make the so called 15 minute walk to the meeting place and we missed the tour. We messaged the tour provider and got crickets… still waiting for a response days later! Poppie’s is located right around the corner from the Ten Bells (the ENDING location for the tour), but 45 minutes from the starting point. That has to be the STUDPIDEST plan ever! I would not recommend this tour to anyone I liked, only to people I wanted to get back at from some wrong done to me! 👎👎👎👎 👎👎👎👎👎

You received an email two days before the tour explaining that the starting place had changed. I had upgraded you to the longer tour as there was no Jack the Ripper (Whitechapel) taking place on that date. The email gave you full directions to the new starting point but apparently you did not see this until you had been waiting at the old starting point last Saturday. If you had then checked both sets of instructions you would have seen that you were only 100 yards from the new starting point and could have managed to catch the tour. It is only a 15 minute walk from Poppies to Aldgare East Station and a further 4 mins to Aldgate from there, it certainly not 45 mins to either! Unfortunately I could not answer my phone when you tried to contact me as I was stuck on an Underground train with no signal, so did not receive your call. No other customers have complained about the directions and have all managed to find the starting points of both, if the directions were vague we would have many complaints about this. We have bookings practically every tour for both versions with Fish & Chips and send our customers to Poppies as it is the best Fish & Chips in the area!
