Must do tour

Sonia_R, Feb 2026
When we arrived, it turned out it was just the two of us, and they still ran the full 5‑day tour. Some places weren’t fully open because of winter, but that didn’t stop us from having an amazing trip. Our driver and guide, Carl, was fantastic. Before each stop, he gave us a great overview of the area and what to expect. We encountered a few road closures due to the weather, but Carl made sure we still reached all our planned destinations each day. We chose to stay in bed-and-breakfast accommodation, and both places were lovely. Was a great way to see part of the UK. Would do this tour again.

Great scenery and famous Landmarks

Angela_S, Jan 2026
Many famous places plus lovely scenery from place to place. I am very glad I wasn't driving. I don’t know how the driver got us some of these places off the GPS so safely! I didn't realize how big SW England is. The hotels have wonderful breakfasts. My favorites were Port Isaac because my husband and I watched Doc Martin, Stonehenge and the overlooks you climb up to see the statue of King Arthur - breathtaking! The guide had a lot of historical information. He even said "Jolly good question."

Congratulations to Francis for his excellent guiding. Accommodation quite good. I would have appreciated longer times for most visits.

Adventures in Devon and Cornwall

Christine_M, Jul 2025
It was very well organised with an interesting variety of locations travelling through Hampshire, Devon and Cornwall, stopping at key sites of interest en route. However what made the experience special was our Tour Driver/Guide, David Coatsworth (Rabbies) who’s warmth and kindness coupled with his knowledge and descriptions of all the places visited was truly impressive. As to accommodation, as a solo traveler I was extremely disappointed with the accommodation at the Exeter Town House. Although the bed was comfortable, the room was very small, the sink was narrow making it impossible to avoid banging one’s head against the wall on rinsing one’s face/cleaning teeth nor dripping water on the floor. It was also extremely difficult to put water into the kettle due to the narrowness and shallowness of the sink. The cord on the kettle itself, was too short to reach the floor level socket, causing the kettle to be placed on the floor. The hairdryer was at first difficult to locate. By the second night the TV screen was no longer functioning despite replacement batteries being inserted into the Remote. The breakfasts delivered to my room was acceptable. By contrast I cannot fault the Greenbank Hotel in Falmouth. Excellent location, comfortable, well appointed room, Restaurant and outdoor seating areas very good, enhanced by the wonderful views.

Nice staying

Roberto_L, May 2025
Nice trip around Cornwall and Devon, the guide is very knowledgeble but he could speak a little slower for non native English speakers. Too british to me! Difficult to undestand!

Very good tour with safe travels.

Pamela_R, Dec 2024
Greenway Estate was outstanding as an option. Guest house lodging was very good. My least favorite part was Glastonbury.

Truly a magical tour not to be missed!

LESLIE_L, Oct 2024
This was a truly magical tour, covering so much ground and so many spectacular sites. It’s a long distance from London to Devon, then on to Cornwall, but the tour is cleverly broken up into reasonably-sized segments with scenic and historic stops that also serve as rest stops. Every stop -- Winchester, Stonehenge, Exeter, Dartmoor, and the many scenic stops along the Cornish coastline -- had something valuable and fun to see or do, plenty of options for refreshments, and toilet facilities. Carl, our tour guide, was outstanding. His commentary en route was clear, extensive, and informative, and he often pointed to a map of the region posted above the windshield so he could show us the general area we’d be covering that day. Having a small group was terrific. We had really good rapport with each other and with Carl. Even if you’re not into Doc Martin or Poldark on BBC/PBS, you’ll be delighted with everything to see on this trip. But if you are, well – icing on the cake!

Thank you John

Christine_H, Sep 2024
This has been a wonderful tour with so many wonderful stops along the way. Our Tour Guide, John, has been a source of great stories, myths and legends along the way and has gone the extra mile to ensure that this was a trip to remember.

Nancy_F, May 2024
Our guide Jack from the Viator/ Rabbies tour was fabulous. He was both witty and informative about all the sites we were seeing and brought everything to life. The only suggestion I would have is better instructions how to find the first meeting place.

Made us fall in love with England

Michele_P, May 2024
Overall we enjoyed the trip and loved the little towns that seemed off the beaten path. So glad we did this trip, just wish we didn’t have such a long drive back to London on the last day.

A wonderful experience!

Linda_C, Apr 2024
Our Guide, June, was incredibly knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble for her, even suggesting and organising a group dinner. A great idea! The itinerary was good and we learned so much about the region and its history. A very enjoyable trip and well worth the money.

Go directly to Rabbies

Margaret_W, Dec 2023
Did not realise I could book directly so not pleased with extra charges Trip was good only 3 people so more relaxed

Rabbies Tours over anything else

Rose_T, Mar 2023
Would recommend any Rabbies tour. They always have the best schedules, give you plenty of time at each stop. Their guides are all exceptional, knowledgeable of the areas and history and just fun to be with. The best one I have been on was this one. Beautiful and historical sites, John was the best guide we could have asked for. Can’t recommend these tours enough.

Great experience!

Sue_O, Aug 2022
The tour & our guide John were terrific. We really liked that we had the choice between hotels or bed & breakfast places. Also, it was nice that we stayed in towns more than just one night so we had a chance to get comfortable. Additionally, we had the opportunity to see a lot (and we did); however, other people on the tour didn't want to do everything, and there were cafes and shops they could visit if they wanted a different experience. Great guide/driver, super hotel choices and lots of interesting sites. We will be back to tour with Rabbies!

A great short tour!

Dennis_Q, Jul 2022
Port Isaac, Minack Theatre, Torquay, Dartmoor ponies. Our driver and tour director Dan was exceptional. Fantastic support in everything requested!

A Pleasant Experience

KokKwan_K, Dec 2021
My husband and I went for this tour in mid-December 2021 and we are so surprised that we are the only customers for this tour. This gives me the impression that Rabbies Tour is really professional as they are bound to be making losses with only 2 customers in a Group tour and yet they went ahead with it. They did not short-change us in anyway as the hotels allocated to us are good and we had a responsible and efficient driver cum guide, Samuel who gave us excellent service. Thanks Rabbies, Samuel and we will certainly recommend your company to our contacts. Regards, KK and Emily

Response from Host, Jan 2022

Thanks for your feedback, KK and Emily! We have a departure guarantee on our tours so we'll only ever cancel if there are circumstances that prevent us from operating safely. Thanks so much for joining us and we're glad you enjoyed the experience.

See a lot in this great five day tour!

Kathryn_W, Oct 2021
This is a great tour! The views of the coastline were stunning and visiting Minack Theater was a highlight. Our guide, Christo, was friendly, very knowledgeable, an excellent driver and made the tour fun. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the beautiful countryside of Devon and Cornwall and would highly recommend this tour, especially with Christo!

Amazing trip to Devon and Cornwall

Angelika_H, Jul 2021
Wonderful trip through some spectacular landscapes and towns. Our guide Stuart was very knowledgeable and happy to answer all questions. Can highly recommend this for solo travellers who want to see as much as possible in a relatively short time and absolutely refuse to drive their own car on those teeny tiny narrow Cornish roads ;-).

Outstanding!! Best 5 days in UK !!

Sanchita_J, Nov 2020

This trip was great. We got to see much of the beautiful countryside and were well cared for by the wonderful Kate Needham the driver and guide for Rabbies who did this tour. Highly recommend.

Dave our guide was outstanding. Superb commentary. We visited many sites over the 5 days without being rushed. His history storytelling was brilliant.

Road789380, May 2019

Rabbie's Cornwall and Devon

victoria_l, Sep 2018
Before booking this trip I did a lot of research on which Cornwall tour would hit most of the places I wanted to see. Not only did this tour meet my expectations but it exceeded them. I can't believe how many great places and things we saw. In addition, our driver Kevin was superb. I felt completely safe on the tiny roads as he was a careful driver. And a great guide. Both informative and humorous at the same time. If you have only 5 days and want to see this area of England, book with Rabbie's.

Terrific introduction to Devon and Cornwall

Steven_V, Sep 2018
My wife and I just returned from a terrific tour of Devon and Cornwall. Our guide (Lord Kevin) was very knowledgeable and fun. He had lots of information about the area some factual and some legion, but all worth learning about. We particularly likes the personal touch of the tour. If we had a special request, Kevin would do his best to provide the opportunity. We also liked the flexibility of the itinerary. At any stop we would be given a number of options to pursue on our own or as a group, so we weren’t tied to a particular schedule other than when to get back on the bus. This tour is a great introduction to Devon and Cornwall. We hope to return for a longer stay.

The trip was fantastic! We love every minute of it. Our driver/guide Dean was amazing. He gave us all kinds of information about the country, the local site and folklore. He was very considerate of our needs: driving us as close as possible to the sites, picking us up in the same spot that we were dropped off, reminding us of how much time would could spend and what we would be seeing and doing next. Dean was always ready to answer questions and was great at letting us know where we could get the best food at reasonable prices. The trip itself was wonderful. We loved the pastoral scenery and visiting such places as Stonehenge and Doc Martin's village. I would definitely recommend this trip and this particular tour guide.

Barbara_A, Jun 2018
This is the second time we've done this tour--this time with friends--and it was every bit as good or better than the first time. We were able to do different things at the same stops which expanded our experience. Our guide, June, was wonderful! She was very informative and surprised us with a stop at Port Issac, which we didn't do the first time. Our van mates were all compatible and we left each other as friends at the end of the tour. I can't recommend this tour enough for a good taste of Devon and Cornwall.

This tour is delivered by Rabbies. Great experience in this whistle stop tour. HIghlights for me were the Minack Theatre in Porthcurno, and St. Ives. Wish I could have spent more time in Falmouth. A great introduction to the southwest of England. Excellent driver, commentary, and coach. Pack light, though. It helps getting around!

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our tour guide Hugh from Rabbie's was excellent. He was great about providing the history, enthusiastic about the stories he told, and seemed to care a lot about making sure everyone was enjoying themselves. The timing of this tour in October was also perfect. We had such nice weather and the places we visited were not very busy at least compared to summer. I certainly recommend, this tour, Rabbie's, and Hugh.
