Over 300 steps down over lots of flights to the mine, these are sturdy and have handrails. There is a lift back up to the top at the end of tour. We felt rushed through the tour, especially in the main religious chamber. Had more time when we got near the gift shop..!

Wonderful tour. Please note that there are numerous stairs not just the first set. You can also throw money into first salt pool and make a wish.

Picked up on time just around the corner from our hotel. Minibus with five other people. Driver, Matthew, was charming, helpful and informed us about everything we needed to know. Really glad we visited the Salt mine.... it was an amazing place. Yes, there are certainly a lot of steps and general walking but it was worth it. Much much busier than we ever anticipated. We had a group of 38 for the tour which was about the maximum so at times as we entered different sections we were pretty much squashed. Also there were many many schoolchildren and presumably because the tours are carried out more quickly so they do not get bored the groups kept catching up with each other and us with loudly spoken teachers drowning out our own guide..... who, incidentally, was brilliant. She was brilliant at imparting the history of the mine and kept us interested along with her jovial nature. We did find the walk to the outside after the tour finished exceedingly long for some tired legs. Enjoyed the trip very much but the crowds were a bit overwhelming.

Amazing - lots of steps 300 to first level (7 steps each floor) then lots of walking before any more steps- the chapel is beautiful . Tour guide was Margaret and she was patient and didnt rush.

An amazing experience - so interesting. Our guide was brilliant. She gave us so much information and was so pleasant and helpful. Be prepared for the stairs. Wear comfortable shoes. Wouldn't think it's a suitable experience for someone with mobility issues.

Wear comfortable shoes as there are a lot of stairs and walking. We came out of the lift which is the only way out at a different location to where we went in. Was confusing.

We were picked up from our hotel on time by Simon.
After few more pick ups it was a short drive to the mines. Simon gave us our tickets and instructions. The tour was very good…about 2 hours. Simon was at the car park to take us home.

The transfer driver was brilliant, really punctual and knowledgeable when driving to and from the salt mine. The mine tour itself was a real let down. Although potentially interesting, our English speaking group was too big and the tour guide couldn’t cater for this. The issued headsets were crackly and kept losing signal plus the guides speed of talking and accent made it difficult to understand. Having another group catch us up also meant we could hear their guide talking and the whole trip was a frustrating, chaotic mess. If you have visited similar mines before I wouldn’t bother or, if you speak another language join one of the much smaller other groups.

Very expensive for nothing. I’ve paid about 500 Euros for a car travel, that the driver said no words to us!
