Booked a guided tour to Salt Mine at Krakow, Poland for family. Took approx 3 hours with short break where tourist shop & toilets were situated. Need to wear comfortable and good grip footwear as lots of steps to deal with in mine. Warm enough in Summer with temperature around 17oC inside mine. So my family didn't need jacket or jumper. Very busy in Summer so having booked ahead on guided tour allowed us to get right to the front of the que. Guide very good and knowledgeable. To return to surface have small lifts. Cost us just over £200 booked through Viator for 4 adults, hotel pick up and drop off. This was good after a lot of walking & to get back to hotel for freshen up & evening meal. So look at what your get for your booking. Cheaper may mean yiu do not get all above.

The Salt Mine was an interesting place to visit. It was great to hear about its history and it was truly a unique experience. The tour guide from the Salt Mine was sweet, friendly and added a few jokes to keep the tour lively. It moved at a good pace and does require a decent amount of walking. There is a bathroom break about an hour into the tour and there are places for people to sit along the way for those who need it, though you don’t stop for too long. She kept us a going, as it gets very crowded.
The driver, Ivan, was friendly and cheerful and did a nice job of communicating with us about meeting points. Afterwards, he gave us some recommendations for places to eat and drink, so that was an added bonus. It’s worth a visit and booking through TripAdvisor worked well for us. . It was very convenient to be picked up and dropped off at your hotel, too.

The salt mines are stunning! Truly an amazing experience. But if you book with cracow top tours, you will over pay, AND they had horrible customer service.
We paid just over $400 CAD, but if we would have taken a cab to the salt mines and back, and bought tickets at the gate, we would have paid 2-3 times less.
Cracow top tours truly disappointed us.
We booked this tour months ahead. Pick up was slated for 10am. The night before the tour, they sent a generic message and somewhere within the text, the pick up time had changed to 930am. I would have appreciated an extra message pointing out this change. The morning of the tour, we got to our pick up spot at 940am. By that point however, they had left without us. When i messaged them, they referenced their generic message the day prior and told us to cab there. We cabbed there, and when we arrived, our tickets were only good if used with the tour group. I called cracow top tours, and a rep came to assist us, but was no longer certain that our tickets could still be honoured, and let us know that we may need to purchase new tickets. They took no responsibility, and didnt even apologize.

In accordance with what is stated on the tour website, and on your voucher:
"Pickup directly from your selected hotel or apartment in Krakow (or the nearest location if vehicle access is prohibited or difficult). The day before the tour, after collecting all addresses from the other tour participants, you will receive the exact pickup time from the agreed location. Pick-ups are daily between approximately 9:00 - 11:00 depending on your hotel location in Krakow. We will confirm the exact time the day before the tour."
The day before the trip, as described on the trip website and on your voucher, we contacted you to provide the exact pickup time - which you confirmed with a sign 👍
On the day of the trip, the driver arrived on time, as agreed with the you that you confirmed 👍 You of course, wasn't ready for pickup. We tried to contact you by phone for another 10 minutes, but unfortunately, no one answered. The driver couldn't risk being late for the start of the guided tour of the salt mine, and the other tour participants who were on time would lose their tickets due to not arriving on time.
Despite your delay and your complaints about the pick-up time, which you confirmed with us the day before, our representative on site arranged admission for you, even though your tickets had expired under normal circumstances.
The tour operator is not responsible for any failure to read or understand the message. Your confirmation 👍 is a clear signal to us that you understand and confirm what you have read.

Salt Mines experience was great! Although there are a lot of stairs and levels to get down to the lower levels, it was worth it. Our tour guide Agnes was very knowledgeable and kept the group engaged whilst sharing the history of the salt mines. The church/cathedral within the mines is incredible and fascinating to know that it is still used nowadays for special events.

This was a wonderful experience for our group. Our driver picked us up at the hotel and guided us all the way up to the mine, made sure we had everything we needed to get in and hear the tour in our language. Later, the pick up was easy as well. The mine itself is something to see! It was a great day.

The salt mines were brilliant, there were amazing things to see on each level especially the chandeliers.
Yes there are a lot of steps, but so worth the experience, definitely wear comfortable shoes.

The salt mines are a must visit and a great way to spend the day. Fantastic day out.
We had a fantastic time and Jakub is a credit. He was friendly, courteous and professional. He treated us with the utmost respect and never made us rush. He made sure we understood that our time was ours to spend as we wished.
We would recommend using this tour operators and will be using them again next year.

The driver Artur was excellent. He sent WhatsApp message when to expect him and a live map to follow his route.
The mine was interesting but I didn't realise it would be 800 steps in total. There were plenty of stops for explanations and photos. On the way back Artur explained many of buildings as we passed which exceeded my expectations. Thank you Artur

Tour guide was amazing, it certainly was a lot of walking but very beautiful, and worth the visit. I would highly recommend going, booking was easy with hotel pick up and drop off. So everything was taken care of, all we had to do was be ready. Our driver was amazing too.

Great experience! Super easy, driver picked us up right on time from our hotel and we took the very short drive to the mines. The tour was absolutely fantastic. The only minor “frustration” is that the lift back to the surface at the end takes about 15 minutes of waiting in line. Other than that though - Breathtaking tour!

The driver was efficient and friendly. They pick you up and get you to the salt mines, where a mine employee then takes over and gives the tour. Tickets were included.

Oscar, our driver was so processional, was there before time waiting. He couldn’t have been nicer. The only downside was the guide in the mine had poor English, and delivered everything in a monotone. The audio quality didn’t help.

It was okay. Communication is poor. Driver did not move after drop off and did not meet us at the exit of the museum. He was nearly 15 minutes away. You're really just paying for the pickup and drop off. The salt mine itself conducts the tour. Which you can buy directly from them.

The Salt Mines in Krakow were absolutely fascinating and well worth visiting. The tour was informative, the underground chambers were stunning, and the whole experience was very well organized. Absolutely brilliant, 100% recommend. Lots of steps down but totally worth it. Lots of places to buy food, drinks, souvenirs. I would definitely recommend going with a tour company to avoid queues
