A great trip from start to finish (my highlight of my holiday break) - Very busy but managed well. Guide enthusiastic and fun - some unbelievable ‘rooms’ and stories.
The best way to experience the Salt Mines. Taxi collected from hotel, waited in line with us at the salt mine with our tickets, collected us after the tour. First class
On time pick up. Beat the queues was great as it was very busy when we were there, Return to hotel door.
It was a great experience and really interesting lots of walking but very worth it. My friend was unwell and Simon was exceptionally helpful in picking us up he couldn’t do enough
The tour was great and very interesting. Our transfer driver Matt was super helpful and full of interesting facts. Would highly recommend.
When visiting Krakow it’s a must. Great trip. Well worth it and highly recommend. We would definitely do it again.
Great communication regarding pick up, what happens and we arrived early to the mine and entered early as well. Safe and secure transportation less than 20 minutes from Oskar. When the tour finished he provided more details regarding Krakow restaurants, food and other attractions as well.
There are many stairs down and many corridors but very manageable. Our guide was excellent, the headset very useful and It was very interesting. Going to Krakow for a visit? Must see!

It was a great tour of the Salt Mines and our driver Gabriel was the best. We got lost when we exited the Salt Mines and he was able to find us and came and picked us up.
Well worth the trip. The highlight was coming up in a miners’ size elevator. Very well organised tour.
The mine is impressive to see but the tour was far too long , too time consuming . I would have given a higher rating if it was more condensed , too much walking seeing nothing .
You don’t need a tour at all , just buy a ticket and do the tour on your own
I was nervous that I might feel claustrophobic- you can feel the air moving, all of the passageways are big and roomy, not an issue at all. It was an amazing place to see, great tour and I’m so glad I got to see this wonder! Pickup communication was great, very awesome experience!

The beginning of this tour felt like a Disneyland attraction but once we got to the huge main rooms we loved it!

A truly inspiring experience visiting Wawel Castle and St. Mary’s Basilica. Both places are breathtaking, rich in history, and full of incredible architecture and atmosphere. Excellent experience. Lots of walking and stairs. Be prepared to be on your feet for long periods of time. But it was a terrific tour.

Our driver, Michelle, was excellent. Very helpful, accommodating, and professional.
Our Salt Mine Tour Guide was less than sympathetic to the disabled vets, bringing up the rear. When we explained that we could not hear a word she said on the audio-box after rounding corners 150 feet ahead of us, she insisted in thickly accented English, “I have 40 persons in the group, and 40 receivers on my monitor.”
When we explained that we had paid a premium to ViaTour for “a small group tour,“ she cooly replied, “All tour groups into this Mine are 40 persons maximum and 40 persons minimum.“
To top off the day (after hundreds of stairs and several thousand steps), Mine Administrator’s closed the exit elevator shaft and walked us another 600 m to a secondary shaft. Exhausting work with a bum knee and cane.

The Wieliczka Salt Mine is a popular tourist destination visited by millions of tourists every year. The summer holidays are the peak season, when the largest numbers of visitors are interested in seeing it. Groups are divided according to the Salt Mine regulations, with a maximum of 40 people per guide.
During peak season, we recommend choosing less crowded times, such as early mornings or afternoons.
Tour of salt mine was well organised, good pace, some time at place before & after to allow for comfort break/ snack

The Salt Mines were great and Kasper was an amazing driver. A must do in Krakow.
Please note there is a lot of walking and 800 stairs to take down. Not advised for anyone with mobility issues.

This is an amazing excursion but not for the infirm or unstable walker as there is over 800 stairs .

Very rushed in busy times no chance to observe in peace at most crucial areas. No directions outside when exiting from large elevator hard to find way back to drop off area can take 15 min walk or longer

Evelyn is our guide was amazing. Not only knowledgeable but a great sense or humor! We had a child in our group who was quite naughty and not minding the rules and she was excellent in gently managing this professionally while maintaining a friendly tone and making sure that the salt mine remained save. Concerning the salt mine this is an amazing place that everybody should visit if they come to the city it is well worth the admission

A tour worth doing. I was a bit sceptical at first thinking what is there so much to see in a mine but my goodness there is. Can’t put in words, just go and see it.
