Definitely recommend this tour. Driver was prompt and efficient. Your guide was excellent. There was an extra one hour portion for the tour that was optional but was not included with this tour package and we were disappointed to have to skip that. Otherwise we definitely recommend this. They’re so awesome!

Although the venue is labeled with hotel pickup, the pick up is only at certain hotels or various pick up points. Fortunately for us, the pick up point was only about 2 blocks away. We were contacted to let us know that the transportation would be a little late which was fine. The driver takes you to the mine, and then the mine guides give you the tour. The driver was safe and made sure to get us to the right place and met us at the end to get us back to the vehicle. The mine was fabulous. Each person is given a listening device to better hear the guide. Our guide spoke very clear English. Be aware that at the very beginning you have to go down over 300 stairs set up in groups of 8 stairs then a landing. We did see one mother whose child had gotten claustrophobic. Our guide responded immediately and got the two of them out via an elevator. The salt chapel was awesome! Just learning about the history of the mine and seeing all the beautiful art created from salt was amazing.

Absolutely worth the visit! Super organized, really cool and an absolutely lovely town! Grabbed some local fruits and veggies exiting the mine area before heading back.

Our trip was made due to Peter, our driver who was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining on the trip to and from. Additionally, he hunted us down when we were lost and was so kind about it. We are so grateful to him. He’s great!!

Amazing tour of a gorgeous site! Totally worth a visit. Peter was delightful and gave us some wonderful recommendations of places to see and restaurants to visit. Thank you!

Everything was great - starting with the bus driver and all the way through the tour and return trip

Incredible salt mine with interesting Polish history in nearly every chamber. Yes, it is a popular destination with crowds and you do walk down nearly 400 steps to reach the rooms, but they are wooden stairs with handrails and done at the beginning of the tour. The salt sculptures are worth seeing and the chapel is amazing.

Excellent organisation with a hotel pickup exactly on time. Friendly and informative mini bus driver too us to the mine. Although full of tourists and busy the Saltmine tour was excellent.

Fabulous experience which is a must do for anyone visiting Krakow! But beware, there's a lot of stairs and walking so not ideal for the elderly and unfit!
Our driver, Jerry, was exceptional, professional, friendly and very helpful!

Jerry our driver was super organized before, during and after our tour - a great communicator. He shared a lot of interesting information and pointed out many sights in and around Krakow. On the way back from the mines he detoured to show and explain the Jewish Ghetto and Schindler's factory. He also shared eating and drinking recommendations with us. He certainly went the extra mile. Highly recommend him and the tour.

If you have any difficulty walking or with closed dark spaces this not the place for you. Driver drops you off in a parking lot and you then have to literally rush walk to get back to it on time following a long (3 hr) walking (500 plus stairs) crowded tour with the mine tour guide. Interesting but not worth it.

Our driver Piter was friendly, funny and drives smoothly. The tour at the salt mine was well organised and we enjoyed skipping the line :)

I greatly enjoyed this tour - the hotel pickup was easy and VERY well communicated. I think that your level of enjoyment will highly depend on the Salt Mine Guide your group gets, but Justina was incredible. On the drive to and from the mines, Piter, did a great job sharing some more history on Krakow and answering questions.

A work of art, and of engineering. I was in awe. Totally amazing. Their faith was shown in spite of all their passion and suffering.

We were contacted the day before the trip by our driver Peter. It was a small group picked up by minivan. It was a little squashed as we were the last pick up and had to sit in the front with the driver. As I'm small this wasn't a problem but may be difficult for larger people. Peter was informative and pleasant. As English speakers the I information was easy for us to understand but must have been difficult for the Italian speakers in the group. Once we reached the Salt Mines we were splint into our own language groups.
The actual tour was very good although it was a very long walk back to the lift to the surface which the tour guide didn't explain. Peter was waiting for us at the specified time for the return to Krakow. All in all a good experience.

Great comms from the team from start to finish, friendly and helpful. From pickup to drop off, tour was very good and the mines are well worth a look, we were genuinely stunned at the vastness and detail within. Slight issue with pickup, in that a medical emergency meant a delay in getting to us, but Martin sorted us with a pre paid taxi and as noted, was in touch the whole time... Great customer service. Thanks to Martin and the team. If you see this Martin, hope your pooch is doing well and thanks again.

Excellent tour! Our guide was clean, well dressed, friendly, and prompt! We were picked up and walked to our tour, given time to relax after our tour ended without being rushed. Great experience!!!

Lots of steps down but don't worry you don't have to walk back up!

Visiting Krakow for first time - looked on lots of website for inspiration for excursions and restaurants our driver was Konrad he was super punctual and knowledgeable about the area
Amalin_D, Apr 2026
Awesome trip to a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Everything was so well organised by Konrad, Jerry and Viator. Picked up spot on time. Comfortable transport and mini guided tour of Krakow. Konrad looked after us so well.
The Salt Mine itself was incredible. You do need a degree of fitness and mobility to do the 800+ steps and 3.5km but it is so worth it!!
Aoife_O, Apr 2026
