    Unreliable and disorganized

    EnesBedirhan_D, Nov 2025
One star. We booked an Auschwitz day tour a week in advance, planned our entire weekend around it, and still never got to go. At the pickup point there was no guide, no signage, no way to identify the bus, and the local operator’s phone number didn’t even work. Viator issued a refund instantly, which made it feel like they already knew the tour wouldn’t happen. The experience left us without tickets or alternatives on the only day we could visit. Completely unreliable.

    Response from Host, Nov 2025

Dear Enes, We sincerely apologize for the situation and the significant inconvenience it has caused you. The issue arose from a technical error in the connection between Viator and our Reservation System, which led to us not receiving your reservation from Viator. As a result, we were completely unaware of your booking and unable to provide the services you expected. Upon realizing that you were waiting at the pick-up point, we immediately contacted Viator and requested a full refund for your booking. We understand that our apology cannot make up for the time lost and the disruption to your plans, and we are truly sorry for that. Kind regards,

    Sad but must do

    DEAN_L, Nov 2024
A lovely tour. But 2nd half was very much standing around in Birkenau. Good value for money, and the bus is comfortable enough for the 90 mins each way.

    Very good

    Helen_M, Oct 2024
The Auschwitz-Birkenau Tour, was very good, the tour guide was very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend this company when booking, collection and drop off was easy with no issues.

    Very thought provoking day

    Kathryn_T, Sep 2024
We were kept well informed about timings and pickups, a very good guide to take us around and the bus driver kindly dropped us back at our hotel

Can’t fault it, was a very good trip

    Jack_E, Sep 2024
Really enjoyed the trip everything was fantastic, a small confusion with the pick up time getting change but it actually worked out better in the end. Our tour guide was fantastic and really knew her stuff. The lunch that was provided was just a standard meal but you can get food at the end of the trip as well.

    Unforgettable experience

    Maria_F, Sep 2024
Well organized tour and tour leader was really good and friendly, she explained every detail and gave us all the info.

A memorable experience although somber it is important part of our history

    Emma_W, Jul 2024
This was one experience our tour guide was great we were looked after. It was communicated well great pick up place. It was very powerful and I'm glad to have experienced it and would highly recommend

    Excellent experience

    Dimitris_I, May 2024
It was an overall experienace that I recommend to everyone. The guide was informative about the history of the place giving details, there was no waiting line we had our tickets ready to go. Totally worth it!

    Dangerous driver!!!

    Dan_H, Mar 2024
Positive: the tour guide and your itself was excellent! Very informative - Gregory was knowledgable, friendly and enthusiastic. The tour is 5 stars. The reason for the 3 stars is the driver - he almost crashed at least 4 times - having to slam on to avoid crashes and pedestrians. He drove way too fast with rapid acceleration and sudden braking- as a result, a lot of people on board felt travel sick. Watching him almost crash several times was very stressful- other reviews share the same concerns about the driver - truly terrible. We got off miles away from our hotel and walked the way back because we couldn’t stand being on the cramped bus any longer. Such a shame

    Response from Host, Apr 2024

Dear Dan, We are very happy that your guided visit was excellent and we thank you for your feedback. We apologize that your experience was not satisfactory because of the erratic driving. Please advise the date and time of your tour so we can reprimand the driver. Kind regards, SeeKrakow

    Unsafe, reckless, terrifying

    Megan_C, Mar 2024
The trip itself was really good I really enjoyed both camps and the tour guide we were at the camps with was brilliant, cannot fault that side of the experience. However, our driver for the trip showed up in the morning clearly straight from being out the night before. He was shaking uncontrollable, falling asleep at the wheel and constantly having to roll the window down to keep himself awake. He continuously served all over the road nearly hitting multiple cars and crash barriers, while driving at a speed of 170-200kph. This was only on route to the camps. On the way back he had cocaine on his noise and was driving even more reckless nearly causing multiple crashes. Everyone in the vehicle was gripping onto the seats scared, he wouldn’t make eye contact with anyone or speak to any of us so we couldn’t get a name. My mother whom I was travelling with had a heart condition and isn’t supposed to be under stress, this situation was the complete opposite. I will never book through seekrakow tours again because of this and I hope this would deter others, as it is completely unacceptable for a company to allow this to happen and have peoples lives put at risk due to this behaviour from the driver. Its is irresponsible and quite frankly illegal for this to happen. So no I would not recommend this trip book with someone else instead

    Rushed tour.

    Linda_B, Mar 2024
Overall was ok. Felt very rushed didn’t get time to read information boards or look at the displays. Went for pack lunch option in which the bread was very dry. There was no time to eat it anyway. Was only given 2 breaks at 10 minutes each. Which was toilet time as queues were so big.

    Worthwhile moving experience

    Clara_F, Nov 2023
A very moving experience. The tour guide Chris was a fantastic guide; we were amazed at his level of knowledge and sensitivity towards the subject. The tour was well organised, ran to time and something we will never forget. Chris absolutely made this tour for us.

    Amazing tour, the guide...

    Mark_H, Nov 2023
Amazing tour, the guide was brilliant. I would recommend this tour to anyone. I would come back and do this tour again.

    Good trip

    hayley_k, Nov 2023
Overall this was a great trip with a knowledgeable tour guide. POSITIVES:We were collected on time, bus was warm, plenty of opportunity to see everything and ask questions NEGATIVES: communication was poor with regards to us being told when we would be collected-resulted in lots of messages/ long wait to pass the security checks on entry/ lunch was a very dry sandwich and the bread was hard( we got a sandwich, water, banana, apple, chocolate bar).

    Very good tour

    Lynne_C, Nov 2023
Very nice pick up and drop off service. Very good tour and tour guide. Only negative is the speed of the tour which is very fast. Obviously this is to cover all the major areas but nonetheless not enough time to absorb all the information and emotions.

    Must do excursion

    Sally_G, Oct 2023
Very humbling experience. The coaches and tour guides were really great. Even though it was busy It was very well organised

    Great tour guide

    Harry_J, Oct 2023
Really good tour guide who made the experience for us. Would recommend for people who want to see it all as some unhealthy people in the group couldn’t keep up

I will never forget it .

    Michele_M, Sep 2023
Pickup was good Mirolstaw was our tour guide ( fantastic) was passionate about what he was telling us , this is a must altho is sad beyond belief we need to know what happened to those people, lots of walking but we'll worth it , as for value 100% worth it .

    Krakow

    Darren_W, Sep 2023
It was pleasant and fully understandable from the tour guide she knew her information and was professional

    Mostly Satisfied

    Sandra_R, Jul 2023
Overall, the tour was good. The guide was very knowledgeable and described sites and some history on our way to Auschwitz. The cons: the guide walked very fast and left the group spread out. Sometimes he got so far in front of us that the headsets cut out (note: there was another guide from the same company who kept her group together better, so I think it was just luck if the draw for us). Also, the drop off point at the end of the tour was not the same as the pick up point and we were not informed until we got on the bus. It was fine, except we would have planned our site-seeing differently had we known. Finally, we bought the boxed lunches, but I wish we would have skipped them as most of them went uneaten. Definitely bring something to eat as the tour will take the entire day and there is limited time to eat/get food (and options are extremely limited at the camp).

    Amazing

    Ellie_E, Jul 2023
Great trip , well organised with an informative guide . Always able to answer any questions and knew all the information for the tour. Easy pick up and drop off too and communication letting us know the times was great.

Missed the whole tour following bad advise of tour operator

    Brian_S, Jul 2023
Travelled from South Africa to visit the Auschwitz museum only to arrive at the entrance and being stopped from entering. Followed the advise of the operator to make the shuttle pick up when it would have been easier to go to the museum.

    Response from Host, Jul 2023

Dear Brian, We are sorry that you did not experience the entire tour with us however your review is fully inaccurate. Here are the important facts that you did not mention in your review: You booked our tour taking place on 17 July 2023 with a departure time of 09:40 from Krakow. On the day of the tour you phoned us at 08:20 and informed us that your train from the Czech Republic was delayed and you are still in another city and you might not be able to make it on time to the departure point in Krakow. Our Help Desk Attendant suggested that you take a train directly to The Auschwitz Birkenau Museum instead of going to Krakow. It was your decision to take the train to Krakow. When you arrived in Krakow our Help Desk Attendant offered you 2 different pick-up points in Krakow so you can still join our tour and travel with our group on our bus from Krakow. Our bus was waiting for you with all the other participants at the last stop in Krakow for 20 minutes but you decided to travel to The Auschwitz Birkenau Museum on your own. Our Help Desk Attendant gave you the exact address at the destination and the exact time that you need to meet our group at the destination. She also gave you our Tour Leader's phone number. You were late at the destination as well. Our group waited for you there for another extra 20 minutes but you did not arrive. The group then started the tour and entered the Museum as the entry tickets are booked for a certain hour and cannot be used later on. You joined our group later on at the 2nd Camp and returned to Krakow on our bus. The reasons for your absence at the meeting point in Krakow were absolutely out of our control and We have done everything possible to accommodate you and allow you to join our tour in Krakow and/or at the destination. We encourage all guests to plan their visit carefully in order to avoid unexpected delays etc. Best regards, SeeKrakow

    Disappointed

    Shirley_F, Jun 2023
Disappointed: trip time changed from 8.30 a.m. (I had chosen this time as my husband suffers from fatigue and manages walking better in the morning) to 1.30p.m., which meant the lunch option we paid for was given to us at 5 p.m., after it had been in a very hot mini bus for hours (no cool box), so sandwich was inedible (see photo) due to ham and cheese being hot and sweaty, water was luke warm and chocolate bar was melted. We had not had lunch previous to trip as we presumed it would be given to us at start of journey. mini bus awful, driver could not push the front seat by the door up, which was a huge health and safety risk as no one could leave the bus. driver did not greet us or communicate any details, used mobile whilst driving and did not appear to know where he was going as he frequently typed things into a hand held sat nav. The mini bus constantly beeped as he drove over the central line when he wasn`t paying attention. Arrival at Auschwitz was rushed as the driver had to wait for another person to come and inform us of our timings and where to meet guide. Everyone was confused and concerned we were going to miss our slot for the tour as we had 10 minutes to go to the toilet and be ready to go on tour. This was not the experience that we expected from the details on your website and it spoilt the enjoyment of the day. We would like to discuss possible compensation for certain aspects of this trip. However, the tour guide for Auschwitz was excellent and very knowledgeable, she made sure that everyone could see and hear every part of the tour.

    Assisted tour

    Judith_B, Jun 2023
Tour guide walked faster than I was able. Some hallways too narrow for two groups to pass at once. Tour driver and his assistant were helpful and supportive when I had problems getting on and off the minibus. Recommend driver either dropping and picking up people who need assistance at a curb so it would be easier to get on and off bus or have step available. Was not able to do second half of tour due to the issue of getting on and off the bus.

Skip lunch option, cross your fingers

    Paul_S, Jun 2023
Lunch option: don’t bother. Here’s why: We ordered the option with lunch as it was going to be a long day. We arrived to the pickup location, got checked in, and then handed our lunches in neatly-stapled bags. As soon as we got on the bus, the driver pointed to his multiple no-eating-or-drinking signs. Okay…so we’ll wait to eat lunch. NOPE- there was no time in the schedule to eat. Instead, in the 5 minutes between Auschwitz and Birkenau as we waited for others to finish using the restroom, we sat on the curb behind the bus and ate part of a sandwich. The rest had to be safe until after the tour was over. It was a very disjointed experience, here’s why: the woman who checked us in…we never saw her again. She was not the guide. The driver did not speak a word of English. Literally, not a word. He was shouting directions at us in Ukrainian. We had no idea what he wanted. It was an English tour, but we had people who could speak 5 other languages…but not Ukrainian. He tried 8 times to get the Auschwitz informational dvd running…while driving on winding roads. Each time he failed, the local dance music radio station turned on. Auschwitz-dance music-Auschwitz-dance music-Auschwitz… Then when we arrived, he handed me all the tickets. The tickets had people’s names on them so I suddenly realized I had to distribute them. The guide at the Auschwitz museum was a third, different person. He was excellent, but aided the “disjointed experience” feeling. The drive back was nerve-wrecking, with the driver constantly stomping on the brake and swerving to avoid others. On the plus side… -The tour happened -The tour guide at Auschwitz was very informative (still dunno if he had any relation to this tour company)

Good trip but very very rushed

    CLAIRE_M, May 2023
Hotel pick up was good Lunch provided was good Auschwitz was good although we would have liked a bit more time there it was a bit rushed The second camp Birkenau was ridiculously rushed. We ran around and had to try and keep up with the guide . He ran through the hut area we could not keep up with him and we couldn’t stop and look at anything . It was a ridiculously fast paced tour. I am fit and able but I struggled. Also so disappointed that we couldn’t stop to look at anything or take anything in . We needed far far more time at Birkenhau camp 2

    travelled from Scotland...

    thomas_w, May 2023
travelled from Scotland and paid for english tour guide but was dissapointed with the guide as she was speaking too quiet and could not understand a lot what she was saying. it was also really busy so fealt like we were rushed through the whole experiance.

    A must visit for everyone

    Ian_H, May 2023
Minibus arrived at exactly the time that was stated so no hanging about. Driver was very friendly and professional and very organised when we arrived at the museum. The English speaking guide was superb and very knowledgeable and educated everyone in the group. Learned so much on this visit, everyone who visits Poland should go.

Brilliant guide , very bad driver

    Natasha_F, Apr 2023
The tour was amazing the guide was truly informative and her knowledge was second to none , it was an experience I will never forget and soo no one ever should . However the driver of the bus was not soo good intact he drove so fast and didn’t care at all about his passengers , his driving not only dangerous but made a young lady physically sick , with his sharp stops and rally like driving .. I would not recommend this driver and ask your company to either retrain him . We got off the bus with other passengers at the earliest convenience who also said the same . The only tip the driver got from us was your dangerous , how an accident didn’t happen was amazing .. thanks Natasha from England .

    Experience spoilt by Tour Operator

    Andrew_D, Apr 2023
The experience of Auschwitz and Birkenau was excellent with a very good guide. However, I was very annoyed with the tour operator who changed my pick up time from 9.30 am until 12.55 pm at very short notice. This messed up my plans for the day and left me no choice but to accept a fait accompli. I booked this trip well in advance of the day and think it was unacceptable to have this happen. We did not get back to Krakow until 8.00 pm and then had to find somewhere to eat, which for me was too late.
