We had an amazing Mt. Fuji tour with Noriko and our driver. The views were stunning, and Noriko’s flexibility and local knowledge led us to beautiful waterfalls and viewpoints we would have otherwise missed. Our driver was excellent, sharing insights about the area’s vegetation, restaurants, and shops while navigating with professionalism and care. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan, and we highly recommend them!

Tomomi is an excellent local guide who maneuvers around the interests of the guests and any needs that may arise. She and our driver Toshi who is an experienced driver navigated many hidden venues to capture a view of Mt. Fuji, a local sake brewery and an excellent local winery. During this tour we were able to view the beauty and majesty of Mount Fuji from different points. We were very lucky that it was a sunny and clear day, and very lucky to have Yoshimi as our guide and Toshi as our driver. Yoshimi and Toshi made this trip super fun, exciting and educational. The trip was tailored to our preferences, and included door to door pickup and drop off. It truly was a dream come true experience focusing on the beauty of the Lake Kawaguchi area at springtime with cherry blossoms in peak bloom. Can’t say enough about our guide and our driver, Yoshi and Toshi. Great tour of Fuji customized to what we wanted to see. Learned a lot of history from Yoshi. What an amazing tip to Mt. Fuji with best ever Driver, Toshi and Local Guide, Tomomi!
The day started off early with drive to Mt. Fuji and Toshi kept us happy and informed throughout the drive. We even got the best views of My.Fuji as we were driving into the Mt. Fuji area.
Then we met the wonderful Tomomi, she is the best guide ever. She tailored our trip to include Fuji Q Land because my daughters simply love Anime and there is a special area for Naruto. We also did a volcano bat cave and visited the surrounding lakes. One of the highlights was also the Kimono Museum, it was breath taking.
Thank you to Toshi for keeping my little one entertained on drive to and back from Mt.Fuji.

This was a fabulous tour even with Mt Fuji covered in clouds. Hiroko was such a lovely, informative, and happy guide. She gave us a really great info session on Japan’s history with maps and visual aids on the way to our destination that made the whole experience more meaningful. She and our driver were so fun and helpful finding extra things to do while it was raining and because My Fuji was obscured. Because our driver was familiar with the area he was able to recommend a wonderful traditional steak house for lunch where we had sumptuous Kobe steak and wine. Hiroko helped me book Shinkansen tickets and stayed in touch with us over the following days recommending other things to do. She even took pictures and sent me a detailed itinerary of our trip so I could organize everything afterwards. Wonderful day!

We paid about twice as much for this experience as other options because my daughter wanted to have a Japanese tour guide. Our experience was fabulous but you should decide if the extra expense is worth it. One other luxury this had (which I am not sure if other have) is that it had a driver and a tour guide. This may have added to the expense.
Our guide Ken was great - a retired business professional who now does tours. They were very flexible and catered to our needs. He contacted us ahead of time to help us choose lunch options. He helped with everything along the way - even making sure we understood our lunch options (traditional Japenese food with not much English on the menu) and got our orders right. He brought us to great places to see Fuji and then discussed options (we chose the ice cave and shopping at the World Heritage center).
The van was comfortable. The driver was great - smooth and safe and knew a lot of hidden places to get great views.
We would recommend this experience!

It was a perfect experience! Our driver did a great job, and the lady who conducted the tour was both warm and professional and spoke excellent English. She taught my daughter and me a lot about the Mt. Fuji area, as she had lived there all of her life,. She monitored Mt. Fuji, and although we thought for certain that we would not see her, we did see her at a great viewing point. The hikes through the forests and around the lakes were especially great as we love all types of nature. We have decided to use Viator again on our next trip and would recommend the experience to everyone.

Our tour guide, Hiroko-san, was absolutely fantastic - she made the entire experience special with her warm, welcoming personality and extensive knowledge of the area. She had this wonderful way of making us feel like we were family rather than just tourists, sharing fascinating cultural insights and stories throughout the day.
The views of Mt. Fuji were breathtaking, and Lake Kawaguchiko's serene beauty provided perfect photo opportunities. We had a wonderful trip to Mount Fuji and the five lakes region. Ken was very knowledgeable and attentive, an all around fantastic guide. Our driver Tak was awesome also. Although the clouds limited visibility of the top of Mt. Fuji there were many beautiful views. We learned a lot about the cultural significance of Mt. Fuji which I really appreciated. We had an amazing tour to Hakone with Bob san our guide and Tack san the driver. Hakone is very beautiful. The boat cruise to Lake Ashi and the Hakone ropeway was splendid.
The journey was very smooth and comfortable. Bob san and Tack san were very hospitable and friendly. Bob was very informative and shared a lot about the Japanese history and culture.
We were tired at the end of the journey , however we got to meet wonderful people like Bob and Tack. Arigato!

We liked our Mt. Fuji tour so much that we added a second tour with the same agency while we were in Japan. Our family of 8 (including a 10-year old and two elderly parents) really enjoyed our personalized tours with Taiji, Kenji and Toshi.
For our first 12-hour Mt Fuji tour, Taiji and his friendly driver Toshi came from Tokyo to pick us up at the Shimizu Port cruise terminal. The van was clean and comfortable. They even provided bottled water, which was much appreciated on the hot, humid August days. Toshi even had snacks for the 10-year in our family.
After visiting Fujisan Sengen Shrine, they managed to take us to the Fifth Station, where we were lucky to catch a view of the mountain right after it had been shrouded in clouds (the clouds covered the mountain back up a few minutes later).
For the second tour in Yokohama that Taiji arranged for us, Kenji and Toshi (same driver) led us on a fun 10-hour exploration of Yokohama and Kamakura. Kenji was flexible and worked to ensure a fully custom itinerary that included a sukiyaki dinner. At our request, Kenji also arranged a memorable authentic tea ceremony in Kamakura with the charming Ms. Aoki, who was incredibly warm and welcoming. She also taught us how to make matcha tea while Kenji did a great job of translating for us.
Both tours were perfectly paced, even for our elderly parents, and we never felt tired.
We highly recommend the Tokyo Star Agency for anyone looking for fun, memorable and personalized tours. Taiji, Kenji and Toshi all made our experience truly delightful.

We enjoyed our tour so much with Ken! He went out of his way to adjust our itinerary so that we would see Mt Fuji before the clouds covered it entirely. We enjoyed his suggestions for the rest of the day as well, especially our stop at the Sake brewery! He shared a lot of history and facts with us and he continued to share ideas of where to eat and go for the rest of our stay in Tokyo as well!

We did the day tour with Taiji, who was an excellent guide! He is a native Japanese but speaks fully fluent English with a charming European accent. The long car rides sped by quickly with interesting coversation by Taiji, who has a broad range of interests, prior travel experiences, and deep insights about Japanese society, which he’s willing to share in a way that most locals would be unwilling to. The tour was well organized, with interesting sites and experiences. Definitely worthwhile.

Hiro and Taiji were wonderful guides and we had a full day of memorable experiences. Once we booked the tour, Tokyo Star Agency contacted us right away to customize the day to our interests. They picked us up at our accommodations and took care of us all day long. We were able to do all the things on our list and never had to worry about transportation or getting tickets or finding a good place for lunch: everything was taken care of. Hiro and Taiji were wonderful and easy to be with and we enjoyed our time with them. It was great to get out of the heat and crowd of Tokyo and enjoy a day in Hakone and Lake Ashi.

We had a wonderful and informative day with Bob our guide and Kelly our driver. Bob was super engaging and made sure we were all having a great time, which we were. On our drive back to Tokyo, Bob and Kelly were so kind to recommend a restaurant for us that evening and even made us the reservation and dropped us off. Very thoughtful. Our family of four couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant experience!

My guide Ken is really the most amazing guide I have ever had. He was responsive even before the trip started. Before the trip, he already communicated with me multiple times on our itinerary. When I asked if we could do biking just 2 days before the tour, he was able to diligently and swiftly coming up with lots of suggestions.
On the day of the tour, he was responsible, attentive and flexible. He is very knowledgeable too and was able to provide interesting info along the route.
We were lucky to be able to see beautiful Fuji mountain at our first stop . Although we missed the view at the 5 th station but it was no fault of his. He even generously treated us melon cake. What I also appreciated was he and driver Tak kept thinking what’s best for our family. We couldn’t be more grateful.
We cycled the 14 km route around Lake Yamanaka. It was longer than we anticipated even with electric bike. My family members were way too fast for me so Ken stayed with me throughout and encouraged me along . At the end he treated me dessert again as a reward . What a nice kind person!
I highly recommend his service. I could tell that he really did everything from his heart . I wish there are more tour guide like him in this world.
Btw , he took what I said to heart: i mentioned I would like to see hydrangeas and he kindly searched and forwarded info to me even after the trip.
