We didn’t expect this to be such a wonderful history lesson about Florence and Florentine food! Anna is an amazing historian and we enjoyed this evening very much! Florentine steak is cooked rare. My husband loved it. Great appetizers and wine if you don’t like rare steak! My dad is a vegetarian and chef Monica arranged for a delicious alternative. Would highly recommend this experience! Much more than we expected!

This was a highlight of my trip. The history given on the food, wine etc was outstanding but just as wonderful was the food and small group of like minded people to share the experience.

We loved learning about the history of Italian food. Our multi-course meal was delicious and the atmosphere of the restaurant is quant and charming. The chefs and our guide went out of their way to make us feel welcome and the experience was superb! Highly recommend this unique experience.

Very welcoming host, very local fresh food, top quality, you'll learn a lot. Even extra virgin olive oil is not the same. You'll taste it and tell it's different from the oil sold in market. Memorable experience. Good wines too, but frankly I'm not a heavy drinker so can't tell much. The steak was the best I've ever tasted. They said it must be treated for over 20 days before served. Amazing!

This was a fantastic experience, from the ambiance of the quaint restaurant, to Anna’s welcoming personality, this tour does not disappoint! Anna’s knowledge of the region’s, food, wine, history and must do’s is incredible! But on top of all that, the meal with the wine pairings was top notch. I would highly recommend this tour!!!

Outstanding food experience! From the minute we entered this intimate restaurant, until our final course, we were treated to a fantastic culinary experience that included the history of the food of Florence, I would highly recommend this small group experience!! You will not be disappointed!!

Where do I begin?? Anna greeted us as we walked down the quiet street. We felt as if we were being welcomed into her home. I cannot say enough good things about this experience! It truly is so personal, and informative. Anna has so much knowledge about Tuscan food, and there was no language barrier! I don't want to share too many details, but know that you will leave completely, and I mean, completely full and satisfied. This is truly a four course meal, (if not five or six?). We laughed and talked over each course, and got to know our dining companions. Monica, the chef/owner, is truly a gem. She served us with a huge smile, and clearly knows her way around a kitchen. My husband got teary eyed when the pasta was served as it was so much like his grandmother's sauce. I almost don't want to share this place with anyone. My hope is that Anna can keep this intimate dining experience exactly as it was... even as she grows her dream! We left feeling like we had a new friend in Florence. I hope she feels the same! Thank you Anna and Monica, for the BEST dinner in Florence!

Demetra is the best place to experience the Florentine Steak experience. Not only was the food incredible, but they explain each dish to you and the history. Anna was a wonderful host to us and we throughly enjoyed out meal and conversations. The food was incredible and you can tell that each dish is made with a true passion for cooking.
