We had a lovely day. The tour was changed at our request, with no issue to accommodate my son who uses a wheelchair. Some history, tequila, chocolate, honey tasting, a traditional ceremony, lunch at a beach location and time on the beach. Our guide (Hans) was knowledgeable and helpful!

We were picked up by Pedro and taken on a tour of the island. Stops for Great pictures. Lovely lunch and drinks. Also went to the lighthouse . Pedro was very knowledgeable and proud of the Island.

We meet you next to all cruise ship terminals, pick up from hotels and ferry. Please be aware that you may be coming from a different time zone. Cozumel does not follow day light savings so half the year we are on EST and the other half is CST. So March-November (spring & summer) Cozumel is CST and November-March (fall & winter) is EST. The cruise ships should be using our local time for the time of arrival to the island. You may also see your cruise ships time of arrival using our cruise ship schedule, and the link is provided below Your cruise ship itinerary is based on our local time. For example, if your cruise ship says it will be docking in Cozumel at 8AM, that is local time, and if your meeting time is 8:30AM local time, you will have 30 minutes to get to your meeting point. All meeting points are very close and within walking distance of the cruise pier area.

Good tour, but not as advertised. I don’t think the tour guide was at fault, but the listing said we’d have access to more than what we experienced. Also, the tour description said we’d be driving, the guide drove us. The description said we’d have a cooler of beer and water. There was only water. We had to go to a “Mayan experience” but it was a ploy to get us to buy stuff or tip more people. That wasn’t really something we wanted to do. Our vide, though, was kind and didn’t rush us.

Not exactly as advertised

You are not driving a dune buggy. You are riding in a small car with no top. Snorkeling is not guided. We were given dirty snorkels and pointed toward a beach. Those were the disappointing aspects. Our guide was terrific. Very knowledgeable and proud of his island. The food and tequila tasting stops were nice.

Viator lied in their marketing

Where do I begin? I want a refund for a misleading tour. To begin, I was there are seat belts in all your vehicles. No only were there no seat belts, there was No working speedometer! 2/3 engine lights showing malfunction, no registration..,stopped by armed police. Bait and switch on the itinerary.

It was not what I expected. A lot of driving but not seeing much. The few stops it makes are not worthy. Certainly not our driver’s fault. He was very nice. But they follow the route. As a travel agent I will not recommend this trip to any clients.

booked this believing we were being picked up as it said pick up from our hotel on the booking to be told after an hour of waiting that they couldn't pick us up and the website was wrong waited over an hour in 80 degree heat couldn't contact the tour operator directly either

This was a fantastic experience. We got to see downtown Cozumel as well as a Myan Experience, excellent Tequila and Chocolate tasting. Oscar was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend Oscar for your Dune Buggy Tour!!

Pick up not included which I am not sure Viator is aware of. It had me put a pick up location in and continued to say we would be picked up there on Viator, but the vendor emailed us directly to meet on Cozumel. Ends up costing an extra $35 per person to take cab and ferry. Booked for 4 adults, guide showed up with one small buggy and expected 3 of us to squeeze in the backseat. We had to wait about 1/2 hour for a second vehicle. The only reason we gave 2 stars was because Christian our guide did a nice job after we had the second car. Tequila and chocolate tasting was hokey and the products way overpriced. The “included” lunch was okay but didn’t include drinks. Not even water.

This excursion was booked and paid for over a month before my excursion date. On the morning of my excursion saying my reservation was cancelled (which it wasn't) because they had no availability for today and that I needed to be refunded and rebook through their website for a more expensive price then through Viator for the same day which makes no sense because it’s been booked and paid for over a month and if I can book for the same day on the site that means that had availability and like everyone here in Mexico are trying to extort more money. Viator confirmed with them that my booking wasn’t canceled and they still would not honor my reservation. The manager Hugo called me very rude with a bunch of the same thing and when I tried to speak my part he hung up on me. I called hon back and said what I needed to regardless of him being rude and hanging up on me and still got no where. This was a birthday trip and you all have ruined it. I do not recommend this. Beware.

The Perfect Cruise Excursion

if you can, request Ramon and Claudio! I’m the type of person who values people who are as organized as I am. Everything exceeded my expectations and now I wish I didn’t do a cruise and just came to Cozumel for a week 😂 We chose to have a member of our group drive one of the 3 buggies and he loved the experience! Make sure you can drive standard/stick! The roads aren’t very busy and are good but if you’d rather relax I’d recommend adding an extra driver to your package. If you are the type of person who would prefer something a little more adventurous than sitting in your regular AC van. This is the package for you! Claudio is also a swim instructor so I felt very comfortable being in the deep waters with my cousins under his guidance. Honestly, words can’t express how fun this experience was and you can get a lot for the money spent! Would do it all over again if I could :)

Not organized in any way. Very misleading. We had 11 of us and I was assured that we would have dune buggies. There were no dune buggies. Only modified Nissan cars to look like off road vehicles. No plan of where to go. She took us to liquor tasting so that her friends could pitch their way over priced garbage on us. Then off to get $18 Mohito's that actually tasted good. Problem was we were driving in the city. She had us running red lights just to keep up. "She ran them too". Never saw snorkeling and when I asked, she laughed. Basically, $890. For a tour around Cozumel. Would be fine if that's what we paid for but we were sold "dune buggy/snorkeling " tour. We made the best of it but I really feel like she ripped us off.

Rubbish and waste of money

Was very disappointed. 175 dollars wasted. We were picked up in a dirty uncomfortable “buggy” and the driver asked us what we wanted to do… no real plan apart from taking us to the nature reserve and to see a lighthouse. He recommended one restaurant to us which we got ripped off in. No snorkelling beaches or free food as agreed part of the excursion. I had understood we would be driving the buggy ourselves , which wasn’t the case. It was so bad we asked him to drop us back to our hotel after 2 hours.

Best Excursion of our trip!!

Best excursion of the trip. Met up outside the port as mentioned. My wife, myself and 19 year old son in one car and another couple in a second car. Both were small cars that had the roofs removed and no doors. Ours was a pink Nissan that you see in other reviews. So we didn't get caught up in the fact it wasn't a "dune buggy" like some. You can see in the other review pictures the cars vary. The car wasn't the focus of the tour for us anyway. The other couple had the tour guide drive there car and my son drove ours. He was the only one of the 3 of us that had a license, I left mine on the ship, didn't even think about it. Before we even left our guide showed us a map of the island, where we would all go, what we'd do, so we knew what to expect. The tequila tasting was good, we saw the alligators, lighthouse, stopped at some stands, stopped for pictures and had beach time and a meal at a resort, which you were able to order off a menu. Drinks were extra, but no biggie. The whole time the guide would ask if there was anything we wanted to do, see, etc. Also had a cooler of beer and water for us the whole day. Very flexible so I'm not sure why some feel they didn't get everything. Just ask if you want to stop or see something. Driving through another country in an open air car taking in all the sites was an experience of it's own that we'll never forget, especially our son who drove the whole time.

This was not the excursion advertised. This was originally published as a “dune buggy tour” with pictures of an orange VW dune buggy. We booked it because we own a dune buggy and wanted to experience Cozumel riding around in one. The day of we waited over an hour after our tour start time. The name of the guide changed 4 times. When our guide finally showed we were led to a filthy chopped up car that he called a dune buggy and he was going to be driving us around instead of us driving the dune buggy following a guide. The day turned out to be a waste. Don’t be caught by this bait and switch operation.
