We spent a fantastic day here as part of a bumper birthday celebration with family. Our ages ranged from 13 to 80. We started the day getting fitted with our harnesses and safety equipment by the excellent staff, followed by a safety briefing explaining how to use the ziplines safely. Our guide Paco and his team were clear, funny and put everyone at ease. We then climbed up the many steps into the canopy for our zipline adventure, which was brilliant! We all had a fantastic time and some of us got to do the Spiderman manoeuvre (hanging upside down whilst ziplining) which got woops of sheer exhilaration. We always felt completely safe and the staff at each zipline were friendly and entertaining at all times. From here, we were loaded into the army trucks and taken to the cenote, a stunning limestone oasis surrounded by forest, where we frolicked in the water, throwing ourselves in from the platform and the short zipline and generally mucking about in the water. Our group were great fun and we supported each other if anyone was suddenly stricken by nerves before the plunge. There were some excellent somersaults! We saw a glorious Morpho butterfly and plenty of fish. From here, we headed back to the centre for a tasty lunch and a beer. Because of the nature of the activity, you can't take cameras or anything along with you on the ziplines. For this reason, the Selvatica paparazzi are ever-present, taking photos of you and your group to capture the day. While we were eating, a tablet was brought to our table so we could peruse the photographs before potential purchase. This is a bit of a sucker punch. There were 9 in our group and the price asked for the photos was $315USD (£35pp). There were around 400 photographs in total, really clear images taken with excellent quality cameras but, of course, a lot of the images are very similar (with digital cameras, we always take far too many...) Obviously, having not been able to take any photographs of the day ourselves, we really wanted the photographs, even though we know we will probably only use some of them, but there were other people in our group who were really shocked by the price and gave it a flat "no". We also wanted to buy a few souvenirs in the gift shop for friends at home. We did buy the photos, as we were splitting them between three families, but felt so rinsed after that that we had no money left to leave a decent tip for the brilliant staff, which we would have liked to do. Obviously you are a captive audience and the insurance requirements for a centre like Selvatica are probably huge - maybe the photographs form a large part of the income of the centre as a whole. We were just a bit shocked it was quite such a large figure for a file of digital images and perhaps a heads-up about that at the start of the day would be helpful, as it made for an unexpectedly expensive end to a brilliant day out!

Great even solo! English and Spanish guide that explains the extra add ons on the way. I loved it so much the food drinks snorkeling it was fantastic and the photos were fantastic I highly recommend getting the photo package as well as doing the stingray experience as it was fantastic as well!

Sooo much fun and everyone was friendly. But keep in mind that the $10 per person for the driver does not go directly to the driver and you need to tip them on top of that! Our drive to get there ended up costing us $40 because we didn’t know this! But other than that it was a lot of fun

Resort pickup was a breeze, followed by a 25 minute drive to the location. ATV was first, and this was fun, although I wouldn’t recommend two adult sized people riding together. Zip line was next and was terrific. The staff at each station made sure the rigging was safe and the rides were thrilling. Last was the Cenote and lunch, which was pretty cool. We really enjoyed the lunch and the added tequila tasting. The Cenote jump and swim were very refreshing. My favorite part of the trip was our group leader, Ernesto. He was there at every step helping us with a smile. I’m so glad we were in his group.

We had a great time. Pick-up was on time, and the ride to the site was smooth. Extra fees for single riders were clearly communicated via WhatsApp the evening before our experience (30$ for a single-rider ATV because of an odd number in my group). Policies regarding cell phones and recording are reasonable given the ticket prices. We purchased a photo/video package when we were done with the day. Our guide, Flash, was amazing, going so far as to learn each person's name and call us by name during our experience. This was a memorable day for every member of my family. Fantastic all around.

Fabian was a great guide. We planned this excursion as part of our honeymoom on the last day and it was a huge hit. You will ride through Playa's jungle on well trained horses and learn a lot of great information. We didnt swim, but if you want to a well trained golden lab will lead you into the cenote. They provided high quality pictures that you will treasure for a long time to come. You should do this and request Fabian. Dont forget save time to meet all the horses and donkeys on your way out.

First of all our guide, Humberto (H), was awesome. He was personable, energetic, and funny. His attributes made the instructions fun and funny, and the ATV, Zipline, and Cenote activities more exciting - even when it began to rain and storm during the Cenote activity. I would do excursions with this company again. Also, GREAT pictures, which we bought at the end. I think the photographer's name is Melina. CON: After checking in, they send you to a person to try to upsale you to include the costs of food, drinks, and upgrades. We didn't like this because (1) the guy (I don't remember his name) was the opposite of Humberto. He was not personable or funny, though he tried - he knew his SCRIPT well and he did not adapt.... and (2) it took time that we did not wish to give (i.e., it wasted our time) - we had to wait until he finished with the people ahead of us and we had to listen to his entire script even though we knew we weren't interested - because we heard what he was telling the other group ahead of us. It did not make financial sense (to us) to upgrade. This was the only bad part of the excursion.

A gaiter (face covering) and goggles are highly recommended. However, these are not provided with the price of your tour. They will sell them to you for $20 each, or a package for anywhere between $39-59 US. We have done one of these tours before, with a different company, and the goggles were provided. We were unprepared and didn't want to spend money on something we'd likely never use again. Perhaps a bit more information is warranted. Also, you are not allowed to bring anything with you for the zipline or ATV portion, unless it's a Gopro style camera that will clip to your body. Unfortunately, I only brought my "selfie stick" and couldn't have my camera with me. I assumed we'd be in a 4-person ATV, since I saw them in the photos on Viator. This is what I requested and was told I'd get. However, once we arrived, we were separated and put onto 2 4-wheelers. My parents don't feel comfortable driving them, so my husband and I had to each drive. Not the end of the world, but also not what I was led to believe would happen. While it was fun, I feel like it was a bit chaotic and unorganized at times. The guides were friendly and the included tacos were decent. No drinks provided, aside from flimsy paper cones for water placed around the site. The zip lines were fun and the Cenote was beautiful (but cold!)
