Khaled, our driver, was truly excellent. He was very kind, and our conversations with him were both enjoyable and informative, especially as this was our first visit to Egypt. He was the first Egyptian we met, and because of him we gained a very positive first impression of the country.
What impressed us most was his driving: given the traffic conditions in Egypt, it seemed essential to have a skilled driver, and Khaled’s driving was both comfortable and remarkably adept at navigating the complex roads.
In addition, the smooth coordination with Emo Tours made meeting our driver easy and effortless. I am very satisfied with this program and would gladly recommend it to others.

The driver was on time, polite and pleasant. He stopped on our way out of town to get us water and again about halfway through the 3 hours drive for a bathroom break and to stretch our legs. My only criticism would be the car was not at all what the picture would imply. It was a older car with lots of dents, etc. That was honestly the case with most of the Ubers we used in Alexandria and Cairo - very old and damaged cars.
The drive between Cairo and Alexandria went fine; however, the driver was an hour late picking us up.
very bad service, unprofessional driver that made me stop for him to have a coffee and cigarette. no seatbelt int he car. worse is reckless driving and not respecting seed limit 160km/h. i dont recommend. the least that can be done is the tour to check his drivers and car quality.
Driver arrived at the hotel on time. We experienced good Egyptian style driving hotel to hotel.

Hady was a great driver. Very professional and courteous . He even stoped to buy us food when we were hungry .
Very smooth drive! No worries driver was very sweet and kind! Got to destination safe and sound even had a couple of naps on the way!
I did not receive the service I paid for. On arrival in Cairo I could not locate the driver or the car. There was no one with a sign with either my name or the transport company’s name on it (Emo Tours). I phoned the number that I had been given for the driver and it was disconnected and then phoned the contact number for the office and was told there was no car for me. I then had to book another taxi and pay again. Later the driver contacted me to say they were waiting for me but I had already left by then. On contacting Viator they said they cannot refund the money I had paid despite not receiving the service. This is deeply disappointing. Do not use Emo Tours in Egypt. I would also not use Viator again if this is the level of service they are happy to support.
The transpott was perfect. The driver was a great driver, professional,had a good english and was incredibly nice and talkative during the whole drive.
Driver picked us up on time and drove carefully. There was no stress involved. Picked us up at airport and dropped us off at our hotel.
We booked an evening transfer from Giza to Alexandria cruise port..I reached out to them the morning of for confirmation...no reply...reached again after we returned from our Giza Pyramids excursion...finally received confirmation 2 hrs before pickup...they subcontracted our ride out to an independent driver( who arrived 30 minutes late)...he made 2 stops on the way...first for fuel and second for coffee ☕️ ( for himself) none of these stops where at our request...all this added an extra hour and half to our trip....we made our ship departure with time to spare( glad we allowed extra time)..overall wasn't that bad..just a little frustrating.
Traffic was treacherous, but my driver exhibited a calm demeanor and joined in the slugging match. When I realized that driving in this.milieu requires a certain skill set, I sat back, relaxed and enjoyed a new experience. He was very capable, friendly and got me here safely.

The transfer with Hady was perfect. He is not only a safe driver, but also talkative throughout yet knows when you just want to relax and rest. I would recommend him any day.
I had taken a train to Alexandria before. While the train is fine, the crazy chaos of Ramses train is over-stimulating and overwhelming for me now. I asked my travel agent if there were other alternatives.
I was massively jet lagged and overslept missing my noon pickup. I checked into my hotel around 3am. The hotel failed on their 11am wake up call.
The company was super great about communicating with me on WhatsApp when I woke up to see the message.
Fortunately my driver was also late. Although he didn't speak much English and my Arabic is horrible, he picked how I was doing.
He stopped in the middle of of a busy street so could take a picture of the Nile. He stopped and picked a cold bottle of water for me.
About half way there I realized I hadn't eaten anything since my flight the night before. Without me saying anything, at the same time he pulls over to a busy rest stop and said "toilets ten minutes". I think I was the only American there, and somehow was able to get a cheese sandwich to go.
He dropped me off next the hotel.
I'm so glad my travel agent picked this alternative.
Communication was really good for pickup with tour company. We did not get the van from the photograph. Vehicle seemed to be privately owned and did not have tour company logo. It was clean, but older. Be careful the driver does not try to add anything to your bill at the rest stop because he did to us. Rest stop was clean and had good food options. Driver was punctual, played good music, and carried our bags. Uber from the Cairo airport to Alexandria may have been a cheaper and better option for transfer.
The whole experience was wonderful, the car, the driver Magdy who went above and beyond to help us and make us feel welcome, great driver, very safe and polite... highly recommended...

We had smooth ride to Alexandria. Good vehicle condition. Driver speaks minimum English and we had to stop him from constantly taking eyes off the road and looking at his phone.
Kareem was an excellent driver. Didn't drive fast, so I felt safe. He stopped and bought us water, juice and candy. That was so kind of him. He also had a great playlist of soft, relaxing music. Thank you Kareem for making our very long drive from Cairo Airport to Alexandria so pleasant.
They contacted us before arrival and said they would be at the Airport by 5.30pm. However, once we arrived there was no one to meet us and I had to call the number a few times including the Viator helpline. By the time they arrived ,it was 1 1/2 hrs late and we had to travel to Alexandria it was a very tiring trip
We missed our meeting with the driver in our airport hotel lobby by an hour, which was our fault. We overslept after our flight from the West Coast of USA. The driver came back & took us to Alex. We really appreciate it. The car was clean & comfortable. The driver was eager to point out sights along the way, which was nice. Great work!

My driver Mohamed was great! He was at my hotel an hr before the pick up time. He was a safe driver and entertaining too.
We were assigned Waleed as a driver and it was the worst and scariest experience of our two-week trip in Egypt. I appreciated that Emo Tours would message on WhatsApp and found that our flight time had changed, so they adjusted the pick up time. We got picked up after midnight from the Cairo airport. There were so many communication issues. We were told to send photos of where we where. I shared my location in WhatsApp many times. We expected the driver to be inside like other times we got picked up. We were never told where to go and we did not know if the driver was coming to us (and even knew where we were). I got the impression that our driver was not even at the airport yet. Again, communication was horrible. Emo Tours did not let is know until the following day that drivers cannot go inside the airport, we had to come outside. But they did not tell us that (I have the chat screenshots of this). Even still, we did not know where to go outside to. I communicated several times that we are foreign and we do not understand how this airport works. So we were picked up later than expected, which is a lot when you are traveling from Cairo to Alexandria. After a few hours, we got to Alexandria. I always check on Google maps where my drivers are going to make sure they take us where we are supposed to go. Waleed passed the turn for the city. I told him to stop. I told him to turn around. He did not listen to me. I am showing him on my phone where we need to go. He would not stop (but he did stop earlier in the trip to smoke). He asks for the name of the hotel, which he should have already had from Emo Tours! I give him the name of the hotel. It turns out that he has no data on his phone, so he is not even able to use GPS to get us to our destination. I was horrified. He then had to use MY phone and my GPS with Google Maps, but even then, he could not follow simple turn left or turn right directions. It was after 3 AM, we were exhausted and trying to direct our driver to follow the directions on my phone. We were really afraid for awhile and I could not contact Emo Tours for help because the drive was using my phone. I contacted Emo Tours to complain and also contracted Viator. We requested a partial refund and it was denied. I made a specific request that this driver not work with Viator guests again. No customer should deal with a driver who does not know your final destination, does not have GPS, and who refuses to stop or turn around when told to (because they are going the wrong direction). This was in my top three worst experiences in a car when traveling overseas.
Very professional driver. He was kind and wearing a shirt and tie. His SUV was clean and new. He stopped and purchased water and food if we wanted. I wish we could have had him for our trip back.
Unfortunately with this booking system you can never tell who will pick you up. Most cars are pretty bad. Filled with dust and smoke.

Fortunately we had a wonderful experience with our driver. I’m so happy to have met and ridden with him.
