Fantastic tour
We had a fantastic tour guided by Mohammed Hamida and driven by Foly. We visited the pyramids of Giza which in itself was an incredible experience made better by the expertise of Mohammed who had been an archeologist on the site for many years it was truly wonderful to hear his knowledge and passion for Ancient Egypt. We would recommend this tour to anyone and want to thank Emo Tours for such an amazing tour!

Superb experience!
This was a wonderful and quick way to see the pyramids and the sphinx if you are short on time. Our guide was prompt and extremely knowledgable.

Overall great experience....
Overall great experience. The guide was very knowledgeable and was able to convey the history to us in an understandable manner. The driver was also very friendly and kept his car clean and in very good condition.

Great tour of Memphis, Saqqara, and Giza
Great tour of Memphis, Saqqara, and Giza. The tour guide gave a detailed explanation of each site and knew the spots for the best pictures. There was a brief stop at a carpet school/factory that I would have preferred to avoid but know this is just inherent with most tours. The private car was clean and well-maintained. All in all, a great all around tour of one of the original wonders!

Pyramid of Khafre
  • The desert site is very exposed. Wear a hat and sunscreen.

  • The tunnels inside the Pyramid of Khafre are cramped, steep, and often smelly. If you suffer claustrophobia, think twice before entering.

  • As elsewhere in Cairo, women will feel more comfortable dressed modestly, covering shoulders, upper arms, legs above the knee, and cleavage.

  • It’s not possible to enter the pyramids or excavations in a wheelchair. You can get a good view of the outside of the pyramids and the Sphinx from a wheelchair, although you’ll need an adapted vehicle with a driver to get you around the site.
