Amazing Wine Tasting Experience

It is fabulous. Petzold was extremely knowledgeable and interesting. We learnt loads about Hungarian wine and all 7 we tasted were delicious. Food was great too. Daniel the host was very welcoming. Highly recommend

The team have created a really interesting wine and food experience. We were presented with the opportunity to sample eight regional wines with meats and cheeses that complimented the wines. The hosts were crealy passionate about what they were doing and this was mirrored by their knowledge of wine and wine production aross Hungary

My wife and I were looking for an authentic Hungarian wine-tasting experience when we came across this option, which had relatively few reviews on the platform but immediately caught our interest. It was Valentine's Day, and we do not regret our choice. The tasting venue is located in the historic basement of an unmarked aparthotel, which made it somewhat challenging to find. However, our host promptly came to meet us outside, right in front of the indicated address. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and given an introduction to the history of the building. We received a cultural immersion into the site's past and its connection to significant events in the country’s history. We learned about Hungary's wine culture and its origins before being comfortably seated in a private setting to begin our tasting. We sampled six different wines, accompanied by a selection of appetizers and artisanal bread—everything was delicious. Each wine was introduced with insightful explanations, allowing us to deepen our understanding of Hungary’s rich culture, its historical roots, and even its geopolitical landscape. We also gained valuable insight into the traditions of family-owned wineries. The experience was much more than just a tasting; it was a meaningful exchange of personal stories and perspectives, creating an intimate and intellectually enriching dialogue. We truly appreciated this human connection. The hosts, who are also the winemakers and entrepreneurs behind the experience, were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and warm, treating us like friends and making us feel at home. This is not an experience centered on quantity but rather on intimacy, authenticity, and a deeply fraternal atmosphere. My wife and I left feeling incredibly happy with our choice. We highly recommend this activity to anyone who wishes to experience the true essence of Hungarian culture.
