Awesome experience. Great entertainment, very talented violinist. Very relaxed atmosphere, the servers were excellent especially Renata. Thanks Renata for your friendly and efficient service. Great evening.
This tour was great. We were greeted with a glass of champagne and then chose our window table. We had choices of appetizer, soup, entree and dessert. Our server, Cintia, was thorough with her explanation of the food selections and was attentive and an excellent wait person. We had the cod with risotto and it was very good. The entertainment consisted of a small group of string musicians, an opera-quality singer, and a group of Hungarian dancers. It was all great and I would strongly recommend this delightful evening.

The 4 course meal was delicious I had the pork chop and it was so delicious! The folklore show was very entertaining and they made us do a conga line very fun everyone had a great time!
We loved this experience! The entertainment was so much fun and our food was delicious! We would make one suggestion. Please serve water with the meal in addition to the complimentary welcome drink. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the beautiful lights of Budapest at night and would highly recommend this excursion!

Good food. Enjoyed the show and the river cruise. Thoroughly recommend anyone coming to Budapest to do this.
This was a fairly expensive meal which was fine and the food was good but never would I have checked (especially this kind of meal!) to see that we were expected to eat 4 courses without something provided to drink! People can choke and die by eating without drinking and it was assumed at least water would be provided. This started the evening off poorly and caused us to rethink our other Viator reservations. The rest of the evening was pleasant. Personally i would have only had the dulcimer guy play during the meal and have the show during the dessert. Entertainers were great.
The sights were beautiful, the staff friendly, but the food was terrible. I specifically chose this experience to avoid the buffet but my food was awful. This was a huge disappointment.
We really enjoyed the experience - food and service was very good and there are choices of menu options. Good selection of wines, beers and cocktails (all extra cost and not included). The Hungarian band were playing classical music, some very famous pieces (The Blue Danube of course!) and some local Hungarian folk music along with a singer. Dancers were also entertaining and tried to get the audience involved (with mixed success!). Amazing photo opportunities as the buildings lit up, particularly the Hungarian Parliament and the bridge/stadium in the Hungarian flag colours. Suitable for adults and older teenagers but younger kids might get bored as there isn’t much space to run around. We throughly enjoyed as a middle aged couple.
Too expensive and only one drink was complimentary. Food was very good. I expected to be a little fancier.
We chose this trip as it combined an evening river cruise where we got to see the buda castle and parliament building lit up, dinner, and a folk show. It was quite expensive but it did not disappoint.
Absolutely wonderful time. We loved the food, the drinks, and the entertainment! Would 100% recommend this cruise to anyone. Everyone was incredibly friendly and accommodating and the experience was worth every penny.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening dinner cruise. The entertainment was of a high standard and performed enthusiastically. The staff generally were very friendly and helpful.
By way of constructive criticism, I didn’t think the four course and window seat options were value for money. The seating arrangement only gave one party member the view. The appetiser course consisted of one cheese (?) ball presented on a spoon. I thought there might have been more to it for the cost. The main course could have been warmer also.

Beautiful view at night, food was ok. Even we didn't understand the language but the dancer made it exciting for the audience.
We made a reservation for window table , and found out it’s not worth at all , no one can enjoy the view really clear during dinner period , you better book the one without window seat and go outside to the back of yard to enjoy the view during course by course .

But it’s even worst , they served us a peanut size cheese and said it’s first course , second course and main course even worst, don’t waste your money here ……..
Very boring, the entertainment was amateurish and the food was not to our liking. Points of interest were not explained, so we had no idea what we were seeing. We would not recommend this tour.
We had a great time on the boat, we enjoyed the music and really immersed in the Hungarian folkore. Dancers were excellent in getting the audience involved and we have fun.
The food was good and well served, the only flaw was the 1st course that was a too small bit of portion, not really a normal course
This dinner cruise was soo enjoyable. The food was spectacular, the trip along the river at night made for some great pics of the historical landscape. The musicians and dancers were very talented and entertaining. The show was interactive also, as they included the crowd. Well done!
The food which was inedible. The duck my wife had gave her stomach problems the next day. There was only one vegetarian choice, ratatouille which is poor. It was also our 25th wedding anniversary the evening of the cruise, and despite it being known, as the lady ticking off our names dockside wished us happy anniversary, so we were heartened that our milestone anniversary would be mentioned on board. However, it was not acknowledged as my wife had wanted for me. Although there were birthday wishes given by the operetta dancers to a lady on board, which was lovely for her, but made us feel rejected, because we had made a complaint about the food. We loved Budapest, but the operetta dinner cruise was a huge disappointment, never to be repeated again.
This was an excellent outing. We met great people from around the world, had really good food (not gourmet - it’s not meant to be a 5 star restaurant), and the entertainment was super fun. Worth it for an evening outing!
The highlight of the cruise was the excellent entertainment and the views of Budapest at night. Food was enjoyable, however table service was disappointing. Overall, well worth doing.
I wish I had paid attention to the reviews here. They are in every way true. 1.5 hours cruise. Not 2 hours. Cold food. Not 4 course. Horrible horrible taste. Entertainment is good and an ok service can only do so much at the end. With Price of nearly £300 for a family of three, it feels like we fell in a touristy trap. Best thing to do would be to just take a cruise for a tenner and then get dinner at a place with live entertainment afterwards.
Musicians were excellent, customer service was great. It was a very small crowd when we dined. Food was just okay and limited for a pescatarian or vegetarian but there was one option for starter and main.
Sadly, this was not a good experience for us.
We sat in dock for over half an hour, when we did eventually get going, we were called in to eat.
The food was appalling and cold - not 4 courses either.
In all we only sailed for 1.5 hours.
The service was friendly and the entertainment worked hard. Where our seats were, we had no speakers so couldn't hear very well.
At just shy of £100 per person, we really wished we had booked just a cruise (for a tenner with a glass of fizz) and then gone out for dinner. We were rushed off the boat when we still had drinks to finish.
In all, we did not get what we paid for.
