This is a perfect example of a tour that exceeds your expectations. Cliff is a passionate guide who will teach you (more than you might think) about German beer, about microbrewery culture, and about how this culture is taking root in Germany. The experience is unique, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to venture off the paths usually taken by tourists. There is no chance that you will regret it. Enjoy the tour!
The history, the ingredients, the tricks of tasting…..the BEER!! Cliff was off the charts knowledgeable and not just about beer, he picked a winning combo with the pizza choice to start! Awesome tour and we walked away with a huge amount of info and a great memory!
Okay. Me and my love just got home from our Berlin trip, celebrating his birthday, a wonderful week.
Buuut, we can´t stop talk about this tour. Wow. We genuenly felt that this was the best part of the trip. My partner who already knew a great deal about beer felt that it was so much fun, interesting and he learned a lot. Me who knew only a little was positively surprised that this was interesting and joyful.
But I can not (!!) mention anything that was bad. What a guide Cliff is! Such passion to the subject and keen to us as an audience, he had the best energy. We also learned a lot about the city, history and so much more!
So no doubt, if you ever stumble upon this tour. Book it! It was 11/10.

This tour was fantastic. Chris was an excellent guide that had so much information about beer and the culture. We had a great time, laughs, beer and the best slice of pizza. What more could you want!
This was the best tour I've ever been on. I've never been one to leave reviews, but Clif really deserves it. I highly recommend making this one of the first things you do in the city, as our guide was a fantastic resource for the rest of our trip.
I'm not necessarily a beer connoissieur, but Clif gave us the tools to appreciate beer while recommending some of the best tasting drinks I've had! He clearly wants you to have a good time. As he gets to know you and members of your tour, your tour will change. He will give you something you're used to, and something that will open your mind to a whole other side of your pallette. All while taking you through the history of craft beer in the city, as well as highlighting the side of Berlin that tourists don't always get to see (in the best way possible).
He has a great relationship with all of the breweries he takes you to, and will do his best to ensure you have a good time. At the end he recommended other things we should do in the city, which included the best meal on our trip! THANK YOU CLIF!
If I ever go back to Berlin, I know I can count on this guy to give me a completely new and unique experience.
The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and took all of our opinions on beer into consideration. He took us to many interesting places and encouraged us to try things we have not before.
Met some very cool people. Cliff was excellent. Beer was very good. Also enjoyed the pizza. All round good time.

All the bars were very well chosen, and the beer choices were exceptional. Cliff was extremely knowledgeable on the subject of beer and Berlin culture, and had answers for any questions that came up. Highly recommend
We very much enjoyed the fellow participants on our tour:) Sadly, we did not have Mr. Cliff the rockstar beer tour guide:( Our guide was new, arrived late for the tour, and ended our tour early. She was very unorganized and did not seem to deliver the material about craft beer very well. She had us wait to taste the beer offerings until she was done speaking and then rushed us to finish the samples once allowed to consume them as we needed to move on to the next stop. Lastly, she placed a collection bin on the table for gratuities making the group feel uncomfortable and awkward. Disappointing:( Thank goodness for fun tour mates:)

You are never too old to learn more about beer! Cliff was a terrific personable guide with loads of information and knowledge about beer and the process of making it. We started with an amazing pizza treat and lots of the golden liquid at interesting stops Had a wonderful time! Highly recommended.

If you only have time for one tour while you are in Berlin, let it be this one! My friend and I (who are not avid beer drinkers) booked this tour on a whim and we were so glad we did! Cliff was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of beer brewing and the development of the craft beer industry in Berlin. He also helped us to understand why Berlin is such a unique and special city--and how beer played a special role in making Berlin what it is today. Additionally, Cliff offered amazing recommendations for restaurants and nightlife in the city. He went above and beyond to make sure my friend and I had an amazing time while we were in Berlin. This tour was worth every penny!

Our guide gave us a great overview of the history of beer in Berlin, suggested pairings for different beers. He talked about the future of the industry. We also got suggestions for other spots to visit while in Berlin. The pizza was very good. I would recommend this tour.
Excellent tour a lot of fun. We would recommend this tour to our family and friends. The tour guide provided a different Berlin experience in a different part of town in addition to great information on how r make beer and the beer industry in Berlin.
Awesome 'tour'! I hesitate to call it that to manage expectations, because it's not just about places or things to drink.
The host Clifton was great, kept things light but very informative. While the tour included some 'go here and try this', the host also dives into the history of beer, how it's made, and how different styles come to be.
As an aside, I ran late to the start and he kept in contact until I could catch up, which was great. Ended up being grouped with a great bunch of guys from the UK as well as a couple from the US and a family from Australia. We all hung out after the tour officially ended and I think everyone had a really good time. Would highly recommend if you're in Berlin and have an afternoon to kill.
We had a great time on the beer tour. Eduardo did a great job teaching us about the history and making of beer, and finding great locales where we could try beer. He also did a nice job of transforming the tour into a nice group experience—everyone was friendly. It was a definite highlight of our trip and I would strongly recommend it.
Cliff is an awesome tour guide. Very knowledgable, humourous, and made the tour very enjoyable and fun. Definitely recommend. A bit of a shame that some of the beer we wanted to try was sold out, but I still greatly enjoyed all the alternative, and it didn't affect the quality of the tour at all.
