The tournament was outstanding! Our tour guide Nestor was very knowledgeable and explained not only the history but also the symbolism of the facades and other sections of the Basilica's exterior and interior. I would highly recommend this tour.

Excellent guide who...

Anne_W, Apr 2026
Excellent guide who sorted entry out very efficiently. Very knowledgeable and was happy to answer questions. Left us in the cathedral so we were able to go round on our own and visit the museum after the tour. Only downside as it wasn't made clear that you could show your booking to security and go through the turnstile to meet the guide on the other side. We were waiting before the turnstile and nearly missed him.

Great experience

What an awesome experience!

sacollettiyahoocom, Apr 2026
Our tour guide was excellent, he explained everything and was passionate, informative and very friendly. I had a fabulous time with him.

A miracle in motion.

Richard_F, Apr 2026
Our guide did a great job on the tour. It was very crowded when we were there and while it was hectic and confusing when we arrived but the local security was very helpful and we were able to find our meeting place. The Sagrada Família may have been the most beautiful, amazing, inspirational place I have ever seen in my life. It is truly a miracle in motion. Our guide did a great job of managing us, the crowd,, the ongoing construction, and the how to experience the miracle we were all a part of.

Beautiful place! However there is still a long line and bit of a wait, even if if you “skip the line” which is rather misleading.

We loved our guide and having someone guide you through to give you the history, and point out details is a must! The only thing I would add is being more clear about how to get in. You actually go through the ticket area without a ticket to get to the guide. That was a bit confusing, but once we figured that out it was great!

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! 😊 We’re really happy to hear you enjoyed the experience and appreciated having a guide to bring the history and details to life, it truly makes a difference. We also sincerely appreciate your feedback about the meeting instructions. We understand how that could be a bit confusing, and we’ll make sure to work on making the entry process clearer for future guests.

Sagrada

Elizabeth_J, Apr 2026
Sagrada is a must when visiting Barcelona. The intricate design is truly mind blowing. Every time I look I note something different that I did not catch the first time. Our tour guide pointed out features and walked us through the time line not only of this magnificent work of art but the life of Gaudi and those that are charged with finishing his masterpiece. Be patient with finding your tour guide. You must pass security which they do not say to wait outside the souvenir shop connected to the museum in lower level of church. Guide eventually showed up with an orange umbrella. I suggest getting to Sagrada at least 45 minutes early to work through the crowds to get to your meeting point.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Thank you so much for sharing such a thoughtful and detailed review! 😊 We’re delighted to hear how much you enjoyed visiting Sagrada Família, it truly is one of those places that reveals something new every time you look at it. It’s wonderful that your guide was able to bring it to life by explaining both the architectural details and the fascinating story of its creator, Antoni Gaudí, as well as the ongoing work to complete his masterpiece. We also really appreciate your helpful feedback about the meeting point and arrival process. Tips like yours are incredibly valuable for future guests, and we’ll definitely take them into account to make instructions clearer and the experience even smoother. And great advice about arriving early, the crowds can be intense, and a bit of extra time really does help make the start of the tour stress-free. Thanks again for your recommendation and for taking the time to share your experience, we hope to welcome you again on another tour in Barcelona! ✨

Don’t recommend this tour

CHLOE_B, Apr 2026
It was very hard to find the meeting spot and the guide was not great. Not very impressed at all with this tour.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re really sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet expectations. We understand how frustrating it can be when the meeting point is difficult to find, we always try to provide clear instructions, but we’ll review this carefully to see how we can make it even easier for future guests. We’re also sorry that the guide didn’t leave a better impression. This isn’t the experience we aim to deliver, and your comments will be shared with our team so we can improve both communication and on-tour delivery. We appreciate your honesty, as it helps us do better, and we hope you might consider giving us another chance in the future for a smoother and more enjoyable experience.

Response from Host, Mar 2026

Thank you so much for your kind review! 🌟 We’re delighted to hear that you found the tour so impressive and enriching, especially the mix of architecture, history, and cultural insights around such an iconic site. 🏛️✨ We really appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back for another memorable experience soon!

The tournament was outstanding! Our tour guide Nestor was very knowledgeable and explained not only the history but also the symbolism of the facades and other sections of the Basilica's exterior and interior. I would highly recommend this tour.

Response from Host, Jan 2026

Linda! Muchas gracias for your fantastic review! 😊 We’re thrilled you had such an outstanding experience and that Nestor’s knowledge and explanations, from history to symbolism, brought the Basilica to life for you. That’s exactly the kind of experience we love to offer! Thank you for the recommendation, and we hope to see you again on another tour soon! un abrazo

Great tour!

Arijeet_R, Dec 2025
Richard was great with the history! He met on time, although you do need to pass the first security to get to the Souvenir shop. We had to tell the Security that we were meeting a guide and show our booking, since we did not have tickets. Tour started on time, the main security did take some time, there’s no skipping that line. It did feel a little rushed, since there was no time to actually sit down, but once the tour was over and we were still inside, we were able to enjoy the Basilica afterwards. Overall great tour!

Response from Host, Jan 2026

Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful review! 😊 We’re really glad you enjoyed the tour and that Richard’s historical insights made it a great experience. Thanks as well for sharing the practical tips about security, that’s very helpful for future travelers. As much as we’d love a secret shortcut, security lines are one thing we can’t fast-track! Metal detector is mandatory We appreciate your comment about the pace and are happy to hear you were able to stay and enjoy the Basilica afterward at your own rhythm. Thanks again for the recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back soon! un abrazo!

Very informative, our guide took the time to explain much of the symbolism on the facades and it was fascinating!

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Cristina! So glad to read you enjoyed the Sagrada tour! 🙌 The symbolism on the facades is truly mesmerizing, and it’s great that your guide helped uncover all those hidden details. Wonderful to know you found it so fascinating! Please come back soon 🧡

Tour Guide was extremely knowledgeable!

The Sangrade, what a place!

David_O, Sep 2025
The Sangrada Familia is an outstanding work of architecture for worship. Jose was wonderful in his presentation of the facets of the bascilica. His knowledge and use of historical photos made the trip to the Sangrada worthwhile.

Great tour!

Booked a tour of the Sagrada Familia online. Easy to locate meeting point. Leo was an excellent guide and gave us lots of interesting information; things you wouldn’t see or know if you self-toured. The weather was rainy so Leo waited until the rain had eased before taking us outside and pointing out key features. A truly fascinating visit and we’re so pleased we booked it. Highly recommended.

Fareeda_C, Aug 2025
Firstly, our guide was late then waited 15 minutes for 3 people who were stuck in traffic then started the tour at 5.30 pm which was half an hour after our scheduled tour. Then half hour into the tour, it was announced that the Sagrada Familia will close at 6.15 pm. So our 1 and a half tour ended up being 30 minutes. We did not get into the museum or gift shop and needed to leave in a hurry. Needless to say how disappointed we were and would like to be compensated via a refund on our tickets.

Response from Host, Sep 2025

Hello, thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry to read about your disappointment, but we would like to clarify a few important details. In the confirmation message you received via Viator, it was clearly stated that the meeting time was at 5:00 pm and the tour starts at 5:15 pm. The guests you mentioned as being late actually arrived at 5:13 pm, so the group was complete before the scheduled starting time. As planned, the tour began punctually at 5:15 pm. The 15 minutes before are a courtesy window to ensure everyone arrives on time and to allow the tour to start exactly as scheduled, not a delay. Regarding the duration, the tour was 1 hour and 15 minutes, not only 30 minutes as mentioned. In addition, the tour may end earlier in case of special Catholic events or early closures, which are unfortunately beyond our control and sometimes communicated to us with very short notice by their staff.

A Special Place

Jeanette_B, Aug 2025
This was a special tour. Unfortunately I can't remember our guide's name. He did however do a great job of describing the main features of every aspect of the church and I left understanding so much more about Gaudi, his passion and the symbolism in every aspect of the construction. I can't wait to see it completed in the not too distant future.

Milena_S, Aug 2025
I expected more from the guide. We only received basic service information, less interesting than any independent reading. One of the weakest tours I’ve been on.

Response from Host, Aug 2025

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We’re truly sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations. Our goal is always to provide engaging and insightful experiences, so we’re disappointed to know this wasn’t the case for you. Your comments are very valuable, and we’ll use them to improve our guides’ storytelling and the overall quality of our tours. We do hope you’ll give us another chance in the future to show you the experience we strive to deliver.

A nightmare

Pam_D, Jun 2025
Go really early. We couldn't find our guide and we were really early. They need to provide a phone number for the guide and better directions. We were not the only two either. Send our tickets so at least we could have gotten in. It's what attracted us to Barcelona in the first place. No one was answering the phone at the company and calling TripAdvisor is a nightmare. We expect a full refund for both the trips.

Response from Host, Jun 2025

Hola Pamela, We’re truly sorry you weren’t able to join us at the Sagrada Família — we completely understand how disappointing that must have been, especially for such an iconic site. We’d like to gently clarify that we do everything we can to make the meeting point easy to find. All guests receive a detailed message with clear written directions, a Google Maps link, and a photo of the exact location. We meet directly in front of the Sagrada Família official store, which is the only one of its kind and easily found online. The spot is located in front of Gate A, marked with a blue “Meeting Point” sign, where our guide waits holding an open orange umbrella — a setup designed to be visible and unmistakable. In fact, the rest of the group arrived on time without difficulty. Our contact number is provided in the confirmation voucher email, and we had also been in touch prior to the tour. When we noticed you hadn’t arrived, our team made several attempts to reach you before the entry cut-off. As always, our guide was present 15 minutes in advance to ensure everything ran smoothly. Unfortunately, as group tickets are issued with fixed times and tied to group entry, they cannot be refunded or reused once the tour begins. That said, we truly value guest feedback and would love to understand what made the meeting point hard to locate in your case, so we can continue improving the experience for future guests. Although a refund isn’t possible, we’d be delighted to welcome you back on another experience — either in Spain or Italy — and would be happy to offer a special discount for the inconvenience.

Helpful for skipping the line

Amanda_L, Jun 2025
Great for getting in without the line, and they were patient when we were delayed by traffic, but the tour itself didn’t add much to our visit to the church.
