While most Barcelona food tours stay safely in the Gothic Quarter, this one goes where locals actually eat. Gràcia is a former independent village that refused to be absorbed by the city — and it shows. The bars, the bodegas and the plazas here are the real thing, not venues dressed up for tourism. Every stop is a genuine neighbourhood institution. A 1930s bar, a standing bodega where you pick your own bottle, and a proper sit-down Catalan dinner ending with cava — everything included, no surprise bills, no small print. With a maximum of 10 guests and a licensed local guide who eats and drinks alongside you, this never feels like a group tour. It feels like an evening out with someone who actually knows Barcelona.

Happy adjustment

This tour worked out better than expected. At 80+, we were afraid we would not be able to walk all the way from the tour start location to La Padrera. As it turned out, the two of us were the only ones on the 1:30 tour. After Palau Guell and El Antiguo Hospital we were able to take a short rest. We then took a taxi directly to La Padrera, skipping the miles and less interesting places in between. We were well rested for the hour in La Padrera, which was great. We the went straight back to hotel.

Barcelona Gaudi Houses Tour: Casa Vicens, Pedrera & Casa Batlló

Mitsy_C, Sep 2026

Gaudi houses were spread out and it’s a 20 minute walk between #1 and #2, and 8 minutes walk from #2 and #3. As it’s October now, perhaps the tours should be offered earlier in the afternoon as it was darker by the time we reached #3 which made daylight effects less enjoyable. Zoe our guide was good but after starting with 11 people at house #1 our group was down to 5 people because the others dropped off due to tiredness.
