Itinerary

Your private tour begins with pickup from your accommodation in Athens or Piraeus, where you’ll board an air-conditioned vehicle equipped with Wi-Fi and destined for some of Athens’ most popular attractions.

Head first to Athens’ most famous and instantly recognizable landmark: the UNESCO-listed Acropolis. Topped by the magnificent Parthenon and the Agora of Athens, the ancient site offers panoramic views of Athens from its hilltop perch.

Then, proceed to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and catch a changing of the guard ceremony outside of the Parliament Building (Vouli). See, too, the Academy of Athens, the University of Athens, and the National Library: three distinctive modern buildings designed by the Danish architects, Theophil and Christian Hansen.

Marvel at the all-marble design of the Panathenaic Stadium, home to the world’s first Olympic games, and then return to antiquity at the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Hadrian’s Arch — two ancient Greek structures.

Finally, your tour concludes with drop-off at your Athens or Piraeus accommodation.

Our driver John was extraordinarily...

Our driver John was extraordinarily professional and on time and waiting for us as we exited the port. The van was clean and comfortable and from the beginning John was extremely knowledgeable as he drove us to all of the sites in Athens. The short history of the Acropolis that he put on the tv screens prior to our arrival at the historical site was interesting and helpful as we toured the site. He was patient since we took longer than expected at the Acropolis but we were still able to see the rest of the planned sites. A great tour to take while visiting Athens while on a cruise.
