Even if you're going in the shoulder season, like I did, do get your ticket(s) in advance. There will be two lines at the entrance: one for those who have tickets and one for the ticket booth.
The operator is a little difficult to get a hold of, so DO NOT LOSE YOUR FIRST CONFIRMATION EMAIL. I did and it took both Viator and I nearly constantly trying to get in touch with the operator to get a new email with a working link to the tickets.

The self guided audio didn't work wasn't accessible. For entry only this was expensive as added charges commission to price displayed.

there were no landmarks or numbers at acropolis locations matching each segment of audio tour. that was frustrating although the tour has pictures of each segment. that was my major gripe.

The Acropolis is fantastic and a wonderful experience but I can’t recommend this tour agent. Poor communication and we did not receive information about the audio guide until after the tour had ended! We were overcharged for the experience. Will not book through this agent again. Beware!

We are so happy to have booked this tour. Skipping the line easily saved us up to an hour. Just go straight to the entry line on the left. A once in a lifetime experience. We totally recommend getting the earliest tour that you can to avoid both the heat and the larger crowds which arrive around midday. Don’t forget to take water and sunscreen.

The crowd was massive and moved very slowly in most places. It was impossible to get good photos. And a little dangerous on the slippery marble when it was so crowded

I would not hesitate to say that anyone going to visit this site should do so with a guided tour. Otherwise, you’re likely to get subsumed by literally hordes of rude people. The people who work at the site are only marginally helpful, if you can find someone to help you. If you are elderly, bring a walking stick; the steps are uneven.

Acropolis was beautiful but the app for the audio tour was glitchy (kept jumping back and repeating parts) and the talk from the guide was hard to follow as the correct amount of context was not presented. Also it was confusing in the instructions as we did not realize ahead of time that we had to have headphones and use app to hear tour. Had to call about this.

This is a nice way to book your tickets early, but our ticket that we received did not work the first time we tried to enter and we had to contact agency to fix tickets. After a couple hours problem was fixed and we were able to enter, but the extra money paid for buying ticket ahead of time instead of at the gate was not worth the money.

I booked this through aviator and booked it for May 18th and it automatically booked my trip for the 19th because this was FREE ADMISSION on the 18th. I cannot get my money back because it was non refundable. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST VIATOR ABD DOUBLE CHECK YOUR BOOKING as they do shady things like this!

Beware! Prepaid for 3 tickets for 1 pm entry, received confirmation, then night before was told there were no 1 pm tics available so the company bought us 2 pm entry. We made it work for our tour but should be made much more clear that tics are NOT confirmed for time requested until the night before

Don’t bother doing this Just line up, we were on a cruise and due to sickness on the boat we were not allowed to leave the boat on scheduled time. If you’re not there on the time booked NO EXCUSES !! They will not honour tickets Overall not happy

The Acropolis & Parthenon are fabulous! Initially the Viator website was a bit confusing regarding how you download the tickets (other reviewers has said this too). We downloaded and printed them out before travelling. In my opinion the cost of pre-booking the ticket with audio tour is a bit high when compared to the actual entry ticket price. That said, when we got there we saw that the queue for the ticket office was very long and so I definitely recommend purchasing tickets in advance. We didn't find the audio guide that helpful but perhaps that was just us. The overall experience was fantastic though.

Got tickets but had to download at Accropolis so bare that in mind! Luckily I had a connection and found tickets on phone OK. Rate Viator really good to be honest. Didn't bother with the vocal guide a was visually so stunning.

By far our favorite part of our tour of Europe! This was monumental" and "epic!" Self tour was the best idea for us because we could go our own pace. Some things we wanted to just linger and take in, while others were things we snapped a picture of and moved on. Definitely need to get tickets this way, though, as the ticket booth looked to be a long wait.

There was some confusion as to where exactly we got our actual "ticket" (vs. a voucher) from and we had to make a few calls to figure it out. Not sure that there was English audio included with this (if so, we didn't have it). We ended up using another free audio guide walking tour for the Acropolis that we had access to. But this was worthwhile to have the appropriate timed entry time to get onto the Acropolis.
