Unfortunately, we could not use our tickets as they were dated the 18 th March rather than the date we booked for, the 28 th March.
The museum did not recognise the reference number either. Our reference is 1370567845 and we would be grateful if you could check this for us. We paid viator 44 euro for 2 tickets and had to pay a further 40 euro to get into the museum yesterday as the tickets weren't accepted.

We had issues with our tickets when we first got to the museum. It showed that the tickets had already been used by someone else. We tried to get ahold of the company, Clio Tours, to no avail. We ended up buying two more tickets to see the museum. We sent a text message to them, asking for a refund. They said it had to come from Viator. They seemed very unconcerned about fixing the problem, it also happened to three people who came in right behind us. Viator did come through and gave us a refund. While we trust Viator, I would not trust Clio Tours

Really crowded in June 2025 but the artifacts are interesting. Lots of everything—maybe too much of everything? By the time we got up to the bars on the 4th (?) floor, we were ready to go. Consider also that we were functioning on just 3 hours sleep so exhaustion might have something to do with our experience.

Museum is fabulous, so much to see with great history. The audio tour was very difficult to follow. All three of us got confused and turned around. There’s gotta be a better way to organize the audio tour.

The National Arceological Museum in Athens is quite impressive. It has an overwhelming number of exhibits to see. More pottery and statues dating centuries back in BCE than I could ever have imagined. It was easier to just look at everything than use the audio tour.

I was impressed with the volume of items on display. It was crowded but not overwhelming. It was disappointing to have a lot of rooms/areas closed off, but still worth the money. The audio tour was not seemless but good for some additional content.

The tour was awesome! Artemis was an exceptional guide. She was very enthusiastic, had a wealth of knowledge and truly brought all the history to life. The length of the tour and museum visit was just right, and we had time to stay in the Parthenon museum another couple hours. I highly recommend this tour.

The museum was fine and very informative and as normal in Greek museum I did not take photographs expecting to purchase a book at the end of the tour. However, the shop had no books in English which was unexpected as I would have thought many of the visitors spoke English particularly the American visitors. A poor demonstration of a lack of planning

The National Archeological Museum is fantastic - interesting and well organized, although some rooms were closed when we were there. Our problem was with booking tickets through Clio Muse, which sent us a “voucher” which the Museum did not recognize and would not honor, requiring us to buy new tickets. So far, ten days later, no refund!

The jockey (boy on a horse) and the other sculptures were magnificent! We also found the sculptures raised from the shipwreck were very interesting as well as the skeletons from the tombs with burial items.

The museum is ok, audio guide that you have to download is too complicated for our group. Nobody was able to use it. We should have just gotten tickets on our own and saved money. An old fashion audio set would have been worth it.

Reserving this excursion was a mess! The links for the audio app didn't work and we ended up using the free devices from the museum. We purchased "skip the line" tickets for 3:00 p.m. When we arrived we were told that we needed to arrive either at 2:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. for it to work. If you're thinking of buying these tickets DON'T DO IT!

The “get your tickets” apt was hard to use. We had to wait in long line. The voice devices were not available. This tour was not up to Viator standards.

The staff was terrible. We arrived and followed the stroller road and when we arrived the girl open the door told us why were doing there cos the place would close soon. Then they rushed us through the museum all the way to the stair entrance and we wasted 15 mins at the entrance. Then through the museum they were telling us we couldn’t take photos and when we tried to get out they wouldn’t let us out. So unpleasant.

I made the decision to do this late the night before. My online ticket and audio guide were promptly available the next morning. The audio guide is easy to use.

The Clio Muse audio tour was unobtainable to me. The site link was very poor. My partner did download it but it was not helpful. The free museum audio tour was much better.
Poor Viator experience for us continues. We had a ticket package for Venice. The site was closed for the Pope’s visit. Even with the site closed, the ticket was non refundable! So Viator sold us tickets for a closed venue and refused to refund the payment.

Loved the museum. Was very well organized. Most interesting - the gold death masks , the recreated post volcano bed, the bronze horse. Our tickets were at 3 and we didn’t realize the museum closed at. Disappointing

The queues at the Archeological Museum are unbearable. I and my wife did not come on holiday to stand in queue for over an hour. We just gave up, even though we had paid in advance. The Museum should not sell tickets to people unless they can offer entrance in a timely and organised manner. I have been cheated and would like my money back please.

The museum is amazing! The audio tour not so much. You need earbuds to be completely able to hear because the museum is always packed! My Rick Steves guide was actually a better option. The pre-paid ticket enables you to skip the line so that made it worth the cost!
