Our tour was led by Han, the mayor of Zane’s. The three hour tour was fantastic and so convenient with pick up and drop off at our hotel. Han was informative, courteous and interesting. I highly recommend this tour.

Hans was on time, safe drive to the area and a very interesting tour. The pace was good for us, he made sure my husband was able to keep up. The talk was informative. Saw all the sights we wanted to see. Very useful to be able to skip some of the lines as we were with a guide. Would recommend.

Ray was a great guide. Picked us up from our hotel on time and provided a great tour of the village and windmills. Loved learning about the local culture, seeing the wooden shoes made, learning about how cheese was made, tasting the cheese, touring inside a working windmill, and tasting the local chocolate. Had a great time and drop off back at the hotel after was great. Would definitely recommend to others.

A great 3-hour tour just outside of Amsterdam. A wonderful way to experience the countryside of the Netherlands. See working windmills, a clog making demonstration and cheese tasting in a charming, village setting. Our tour guide Rei was terrific!

If you have a limited amount of time this is the tour for you. Centuries old homes, windmills, lumber, wooden shoe, cheese, spice and paint exhibits demonstrating the daily crafts that represented the lives of these proud people. Our guide, Mikke, was exceptional.

We had an absolutely wonderful tour of Zaanse Schans with Bianca! On the drive there, she gave us the history of the area, found us quiet little areas in the town on a busy day, and took amazing pictures for us. We loved her sense of humor and how welcoming she was towards us. We highly recommend asking for her when booking!

We spent a fabulous afternoon on a private excursion with Kenny. Zaanse Schans is a beautiful, quaint little village which did not disappoint! We enjoyed seeing how wooden shoes are made, tasting lots of cheese and seeing the inner workings of a windmill. Kenny was engaging and has a vast knowledge of the area.

Maiki was fabulous. She walked us around the town, giving us the history of the town and the windmills. We got to see how clogs were made (who knew how quickly) , taste some freshly made cheese a and got to go inside a windmill , see the inner working and go to the top and see amazing views. I highly recommended this tour

Maaike’s childhood experiences at her grandfather’s windmill where he lived definitely made an impression on her. Those experiences have made her an excellent guide for Zaanse Schans and any part of the Netherlands as she has great pride and an in-depth knowledge of windmills, historical architecture, waterways, and the country in general. She was delightful and very conversational. We enjoyed our tower entire tour from pick up to drop off. The fan she picked us up in on our private tour was comfortable and well-maintained.

The tour and town were FABULOUS! It was like something out of a storybook. Our guide was perfect! He even carried my bag of souvenirs. He went slow and even let us sit down while he explained things (my husband and I have both had recent knee replacements).
I loved the windmills and little bridges and tiny canals! I loved the whole experience!
