Great guide, but be careful about museum hours

Rob is an amazing tour guide. He is knowledgeable, patient and flexible. We had a great tour of the Van Gogh museum but were surprised to discover that the Rijksmuseum closes at 5, effectively cutting an hour from our allotted time. If it were not for that, I would have given this activity 5 stars.

Great guide for all generations

Rob, our museum guide, was excellent. He handled our multi generational group with ease. He was willing to be flexible with our plans allowing for a quick break between the museums and finding elevators for my mom. His knowledge of the museums made our visits efficient and educational. I so appreciated having him take the lead and managing our group. Took so much stress off of me.

Viator did poorly at communicating where to meet our guide. We even arrived in area 20 minutes prior to tour! Guide eventually made contact with us. Based on title of tour we waited outside the Van Gogh Museum, where other Viator guides were meeting their groups. A guide from another Viator tour, “Fannie”, tried to help us. Not successful. We did connect with “Laura” and found out she was waiting at other museum—listed after Van Gogh in tour title. We missed at least 30 minutes of our expensive tour. Laura was apologetic, but we still missed the time seeing the artwork. The tour still ended as scheduled. Laura was kind, considerate, and knowledgeable. We want a pro-rated refund of the April 25 tour time we missed, for 30 minutes. Viator, what will you do about it? Sincerely, Sharis Wolfram

Hello, We send the information for the tour the day before, around 20 hours prior to the tour date and we always have an emergency service available. My colleague remember speaking with you Cynthia and Sharis over the phone after you called. We couldn't call you because the number given through viator was a wrong number and we couldn't reach you until you called. You called 10 minutes prior to the tour starting time and once you told us where you were, Laura came directly. In any case, you can always call us to assist you. The tour started not even a few minutes after starting time. Thank you for your comprehension.

She shared details that were not available by reading the pieces of verbiage next to the amazing painting.
