Where to start? The staff? Top tier. The history of cheese? Amazing. The tasting was beyond my wildest dreams and paired with the wines and the guide walking us through everything was highly amazing!

Great experience - tasted 5 cheeses with white, red and port wines. The explanation of the cheese and what made wine pairing work was helpful. Also the history of the cheese making was interesting and informative. The facilitator was great - we really enjoyed.

Taste five cheeses in combination with three wines as an introduction to how they can be complementary. Overall informative as an introduction to Dutch cheese. Need to realize that it is more of an advertisement for the business and a promotion. Not bad but most cheese shops will have the same tastings.

Old Amsterdam cheese tasting was fantastic. They have a nice room above the store with a presentation screen and live presenter who was knowledgeable and funny. We were served a white , red, and port wine. We also learned how to tell the difference between goat and cows mild cheese and aging process. At the end you get a 10% discount on cheese. Such a great value.

We've taken part in basic wine and food pairing tastings before and this really refined the experience for us. We were with 4 other couples who we had met for the first time at the tasting. We learned about the history of Gouda cheese making in the Amsterdam area and about the founders of Old Amsterdam Cheese. We had a selection of 5 Gouda cheeses; 2 goat cheeses and 3 cow cheeses, a French white wine, a red blend, and a Portuguese ruby Port. The cheese expert (like a wine sommelier) walked us through the food pairings to show us when white or red wines go best with each type and age of Gouda. What a relaxing, fun and great experience that we had.

Awesome experience! We did this with 4 other strangers, and it was small and intimate. It's a great way to learn exactly how the different cheeses are made and the instructor did a fabulous job explaining everything. The wines were also quite delicious and from different countries in Europe. Highly recommend!

a great way to spend a hour while in Amsterdam , we were give 5 different cheeses to taste , and were told a little bit about each cheese and the region they came from
there was also 3 wines to taste with the cheeses 2 white and 1 red
we were also given a small booklet each which told us about the cheeses we were tasting , to make it a bit more interesting , the cheese taster held a small quiz at the end with the winner receiving a small prize
if you like cheese and wine , then you will enjoy doing this cheese and wine tasting
