Thanks to Viator, I had the privilege of enjoying a private homemade Dutch dinner in an apartment overlooking the canals in Amsterdam’s Amstel neighborhood. Fusina prepared white asparagus soup and Stamppot, a Dutch delicacy with potatoes and vegetables. She substituted beef sausage for pork and she made mustard which you customarily mix everything. It was delicious! She also served me some excellent Dutch white wine from Maastricht and some homemade apple pie for dessert. Since it was just the two of us, we got to learn more about each other and our cultures. We spent over two hours together and it was an incredible experience. She even gave me a gift!

My husband, my friend and I chose to book this dinner in Amsterdam, which was certainly a highlight of our trip! We had a warm and welcoming greeting for just the three of us, as if we had been long time friends coming for dinner, and we were served dinner in the beautiful apartment of Fusina. What a lovely woman and interesting hostess! This is the perfect experience if you want to feel like you are living right in Amsterdam. Her small apartment was located along the Amstel River in a beautiful part of the city. Fusina was engaging and hospitable. She prepared a traditional home cooked meal for us which was delicious and included our choice of wine or beer. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening with Fusina, and highly recommend it to others.
