Our guide was so knowledgeable and he wasn't rushed. He brought a notebook with pictures to help us see what the areas that we were walking through looked like back before and during and after the war. He told the story of the Jewish people with dignity and truth. We stopped about 1/2 way at a wonderful little Cafe and had some coffee and cake. A nice little stop to reat a bit and ask questions. Outstanding guide!

We did the Anne Frank Guided Walking Tour through Amsterdam's Jewish Quarter for 2 hours and the Amsterdam in World War II Tour for 3 1/2 hours thinking that one would be more about Amsterdam's Jewish Quarter and the other about World War II. It turned out that both were very similar. I had learned about Anne Frank and her family many years ago, but had forgotten about the global impact that Anne Frank continues to make. The biggest difference between the two tours was the difference in length. The guide of the World War II Tour was older and more knowledgeable answering any and all questions posed by our small group of four. The Jewish Quarter Tour was much larger - about a dozen folks and shorter as noted above. I would highly recommend both tours.

We enjoyed the small tour (4-person maximum). Our guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs. The historical information was great - inspired me to do more research when I get home.

Fantastic!!! Excellent communication with Peter from the moment of booking with him. Arrived and easily located him at the meeting point (outside the front of Anne Frank house). This guy knows his stuff, without a doubt! If you are a history buff, interested in WW2, or just want someone to show you around and teach you all about the history of Amsterdam, THIS is your guy! He comes prepared, has handouts, offers more information after the tour, and there wasn't a question he couldn't answer. Very impressed and thankful we booked with him. We were just a small group of four and it made it easy to navigate and listen on the busy city streets. Stopped for coffee & pastries halfway through the tour & ended the tour at the National Holocaust Names Monument. We paired this tour with the Anne Frank house tour later in the afternoon (highly recommend getting tickets to tour the inside of the house ahead of time...they sell out in minutes and go on sale about 6 weeks ahead of time). Couldn't imagine seeing Amsterdam without Peter and his extensive knowledge of the area!

Ben was our tour guide. He did a fabulous. Very very nice man, down to earth, and smart as a whip. We ended up taking 3-1/2 hours for the tour (with another random couple - limit is 4 people) and it did NOT feel like it was that long. The time flew by. Really interesting, so glad we took this tour.

A vivid history of the Dutch WWII experience - their resistance & tragedies. The tour guide, a retired professor from the university, shows photos of Amsterdam during the German occupation of the Netherlands along with the most interesting and informative description of what happened. He describes the struggles of Jews, like Anne Frank, and the atrocities the Nazi's committed. He limits the number of people on each tour, set his walking speed so that the slowest can keep up, and provides his narratives so that everyone can hear. It was a remarkable experience - we highly recommend! Don

This was one of the best tours I have ever done. Ben, our guide was very knowledgeable =, kind, and friendly. We walked at a comfortable pace and saw a lot of Amsterdam, particularly the Jewish sections of the city. We heard incredible stories. He carried a notebook with photos from the period. It was a brutal time in Amsterdam and this tour will help the visitor to further their knowledge of WW2 in Amsterdam.

I cannot say enough great things about our tour with Ben. He was patient, informative, extremely pleasant to be around, and was extremely effective at bringing the stories to life. He took his time showing us photos and answered all our questions. The stories were interesting, but also sad. Ben told us about different things about Amsterdam as we walked around to keep the mood of the tour not too heavy. It in no way took away from the seriousness of the occupation, I actually felt that it added another dimension to the tour I wasn’t expecting. We had a great day and thank you so much for the tour!

Excellent tour. We had a small friendly group. Guide was very knowledgeable, pace was good. Enjoyed the coffee “break” as it was a chilly, windy day. I would recommend the tour.

We had the privilege of walking with Peter. We learned about the impact WWII had in Amsterdam and the long term effects of Hitler's army. There is always a lesson to be learned from the past.
Response from Host, Oct 2022
Dear Lori, thank you very much for your review, that keeps me going on!👍👍

Nuestro guía fue Peter... Maravilloso tour.
