It was a nice and educational walk around the Red Light District that felt like a walk in the park. Our guide focused on the history of the area, which made it more interesting rather than morbid, though he did come into detail when it comes to what's happening in some of the bars and theaters. Really nice tour. Our guide could have been a little more enthusiastic but all in all he was pleasent and discrete and showed lots of respect to the "professionals" working there.

There was no tasting of any food, only a small jigger of orange gin before the tour, but the cost was reasonable and commentary very interesting. I've walked through the Red Light District before but so many things were pointed out. Visited a condom store and pep-show, and many more stops along the route. Tour started bad because the meeting place instructions were. Other people's reservations mentioned a red umbrella but we had to visit many other umbrellas each a different languages before finding ours.

Joe, our guide, provided us with a lot of information, which was very interesting. Who knew that recreational drugs are illegal in Holland, but they are being tolerated. We were told that the Red Light District is very safe, it is well monitored by police. For more information, you will just have to take the tour! : It's recommended not to take photos.
