Sintra Day Trip

It was a great day. We had a small group of eight for the day. Tiago, our guide, was great. We got to see everything, had some time in the morning to explore the town, and had a great lunch. We were in a group of 11 people. I recommend to do this in the beginning of your trip. Nice to taste the local food and wine and have all the inside tips for the rest of your holiday. We started at 17h which was a bit early, because we finished at 21h when you normally go to eat in Lisbon. Leonor was an excellent guide!

The best tour and tour guide in Lisbon!

After an l11-hour flight, the three of us were exhausted. But our tour guide, Migel made it easy and fun for us. We got our second wind, and was excited to see all the beautiful sites of Lisbon. Migel’s knowledge of the city, plus his fun commentary and historical background made it very interesting. We give this tour and Migel five stars. We highly recommend him.

Perfect day !

This was a very full day and we thoroughly enjoyed each experience. The 2 wineries were wonderful with generous pours of many different wines. The lunch was a fantastic meal at a very relaxed pace. The boat ride on the Doiro River was picturesque, relaxed and included even more wine. We had a very knowledgeable guide who took excellent care of us. Thank you , Japan for a great day!

Lisbon With A Friend

We had a half day in Lisbon on our return from Maderia and we booked the 4 hour tour to get an overview of the City. Our guide Marta was amazing and this turned into one of the best experiences of our entire vacation — her energy, sense of humor and knowledge of Lisbon history ( and food ) was beyond compare. The Absolute Best boat tour of the Duoro

The absolute best way to see the Douro river!! Luxury boats, friendly, knowledgeable staff, wine, cheese & toasts, local meats. Best 2hrs we have spent so far in Porto. Small groups (12 people max), spacious seating, slow cruise down the river to the ocean and back under all the bridges. We can't say enough great things about this company and their staff. This is absolutely the...

This is absolutely the best way to see Pena Palace and parts of Portugal away from the big city. Someone else can do the driving, park closer to the palace and purchase the tickets “skipping the line”. Well worth the cost. Of course the palace was the highlight of the trip but the city of Sintra and Cascais were wonderful additions. Our guide, Filipe Brandão was the best. I can’t say enough about him. He was kind, patient, very knowledgeable, helpful, and made our trip special. His recommendations for lunch in Cascais was right on. Thanks for a great day.

A Fun Day in Lisbon

We’ve used Viator in many cities both in the U.S. and abroad and have never been disappointed. They are a reputable company, responsive and helpful. We had the very best experience with our tour guide and Tuk Tuk driver, Javi!!! He is knowledgeable, interesting, fun, entertaining , sincere, friendly and caring. Recently having knee surgery, he was attentive, understanding and concerned about how the road surfaces would affect my knee. Javi was cautious and careful with his driving, which we greatly appreciated!! If we had extended time in Lisbon, my husband and I would have been happy to share a beer and good meal with our new friend!! We learned a lot from Javi and can’t say enough good things about him. Daniella was fantastic...

Daniella was fantastic and accommodating. The tour was fast paced and so perhaps breaking group into smaller groups would help. It was as a bit frustrating to wait pm those who didn’t listen to times for stops. We spent the most time at the bookstore which was great. Plan for lots of fast walking amd quick snapshots in the other places .
