Take the upgrade on the Benagil Caves cruise

My husband and I took the morning cruise to the Benagil Caves and had a beautiful time. We took the upgrade to the upper deck and there were only 6 other people up there. We were able to see the view much better from up there and conversed with the captain and tour guide. We also were offered a glass of champagne on the way back! Definitely take the upgrade on this cruise! It’s so worth it.

Sea Rocks!

Definitely need to pay attention to the tides when you’re booking a trip. We were able to make it thru most spots. Rock formations were so cool. Our tour guide, Ricardo was great. He made it a fun tour and gave us many recommendations on where to go and what to eat Would definitely book it again

While there are many MANY...

While there are many MANY tours to choose from for the cave, we would definitely recommend this one if you’re looking for a boat with good stability in the ocean but not overly big, lots of shade, tour guide speaking and translating in 4 languages (Portuguese, English, Spanish, French) and very kind and accommodating staff. We weren’t interested in kayaking or paddle boarding so this was the tour for us.

Love the Kayaks at Praia do Castelo!

Ocean kayaking requires a bit more work/exertion but fun going through some of the cave passageways with the waves. Best with 2 strong rowers! Guides were AMAZING! Great experience & stunning beaches especially the launch point at 9 am from Praia do Castelo...Stay afterwards & have lunch at CASTELO BEACH CLUB which has stunning view & a beautiful place to bask in the sun under palapa umbrellas! Enjoy!

Such an amazing start to...

Such an amazing start to our honeymoon! Captain John was excellent and we had such a fun relaxing boat tour. He was very knowledgeable about the history and geography and gave us good recommendations for our stay in Lagos! As it was a smaller boat we were able to go deeper into the caves than we would have been able to on a large cruise. It was the best 2 hours!

Fantastic Kayaking Experience with Days of Adventure!

The whole sign-in process with Days of Adventure was quick, easy and very well organised from the start. I had Diogo, Simao and Gabriel as our guides, and they were fantastic. Diogo was incredibly knowledgeable, informative and funny — even while we were out in the water! He made the whole experience fun, relaxed and enjoyable. The kayaking experience at the Benagil Caves was absolutely amazing. The caves and coastline were spectacular, and seeing them from the water made the experience absolutely unforgettable. And the bonus after the swim was super awesome! It was a perfect way to finish an already fantastic adventure. Thanks Diogo for making the experience so much fun. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Algarve.

A Fantastic Experience from Start to Finish

I booked this trip for my daughter, her boyfriend and me while they were visiting me here in Portugal, and we all absolutely loved it. Everything was so well organised from start to finish. From the moment our names were called and we were shown to the boat, everything ran smoothly and we felt completely looked after throughout the whole experience. Inês and Hugo were our crew and really helped to make the trip special. They were both so friendly, welcoming and attentive, while also making it very clear that we were in experienced and capable hands. They shared information along the way and made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. It was quite windy on the day we went, so Hugo explained that he wasn’t able to do some of the side turns and manoeuvres that he would normally include. It honestly didn’t take anything away from the experience though. The boat ride itself was great fun and the coastline and caves were absolutely stunning. Seeing them from the water is something completely different and definitely something I’ll remember. I live in Portugal and had wanted to take my daughter and her boyfriend somewhere special while they were visiting, and this was such a good choice. We all came away saying how much we had enjoyed it. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Lagos. It really is one of those experiences that’s worth doing and one to remember. Thank you, Inês and Hugo, for making our trip such an enjoyable one! ❤️

Our guide was very...

Our guide was very patient, helpful and provided interesting commentary during our tour. The kayaks were inflatable, which was perfect with the ocean waves; no worries about hitting the rocks (which we did not) because you would just bounce off of them, and no problems if you accidentally glided into another kayak (which happened several times!). The scenery was incredible, and the pictures the guide took were far better than the ones I took myself. I wish I had understood at the beginning of the tour that the pictures taken by the guide were included in the cost of our tour. I would have put my phone away and just enjoyed the scenery. Overall, a fabulous experience!!

Excellent trip with Benagil Kayaks

Excellent experience with Benagil Kayaks. David our guide was brilliant and very informative throughout. We were a small group of only 3 kayaks which was brilliant as we moved quickly between caves and beaches not having to wait on multiple other kayaks. Luckily we were there during low tide so were able to enter Pirate's cave and get onto the beach (not possible at high tide). Parking in the area is pretty crazy, we booked the 10am trip and were able to get a space in the large paid carpark nearby. When we returned to the beach at 12pm it was an awful lot busier. Would recommend an early morning trip, especially with children. Highly recommend booking with Benagil Kayaks.
