Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and the stories that went along with each location, which always makes the tour more fun. There were people in our group that lived in the area for over 10 years, so it's not just for tourists! Would definitely recommend.

Art arrived about 5 minutes late for our tour, which was surprising. He didn’t always use his microphone and was sometimes hard to understand. His information was good.

Guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We didn’t have to walk far as this tour is focused on a specific historic district. Lots of satisfying architectural details.

Tour was just ok. Had trouble hearing the guide. He was a very nice man, but there wasn’t much energy in the activity despite all the interest of the 5 people in his group.
I had recently used Viator for a walking tour in Savannah, which was excellent!
Glen_B, Oct 2025

We enjoyed this tour. Amanda is very knowledgeable about Wilmington’s past. Getting to know some of the history you would otherwise not likely be exposed to makes this tour well worth taking.
Jocelyn_F, Jul 2025
Wilmington is such a wonderful town, so much to learn and see. Our tour operator, Amanda, was outstanding. I was hanging off her every word. She was funny, knowledgeable, passionate and was a great communicator.
Oksana_S, Jul 2025
The length of the tour was perfect for the summer day, guide Amanda made history facts sound interesting, we had a good time
Cathy_L, Jun 2025
Wear good walking shoes and pick a day where the temps don’t reach 100!! Bring plenty of water and stop at the Concorde coffee shop before your tour. It’s adorable!!
Yudita_B, Jun 2025
I thought it was history and architectural tour of downtown Wilmington, well it was 90% architectural. The guide talked about the architectural style of the houses and very little about history. It was bad enough, that I made up an excuse and left tour earlier.
Alao, there was 5 of us and the guide theoretically had a mic, but a lot of time it was hard to hear what he is saying. He sounded like a person who does tours for fun rather than professional tour guide: his story didn't flow, it was somewhat fragmented.
Brenda_S, Jun 2025
She is terrific. Walk is not difficult at all! She finds shady spots to talk. Super interesting and good ovwrview. Highly recommend.
