Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable! He was able to share with us some history along with the stories. I did not have a lot of time during my visit to Tucson, but was very glad I booked this tour. You do not have to be a believer of ghosts to appreciate this tour, as the storytelling and history of the city can be appreciated by all.

I have done a lot of ghost and history tours (London, key west, Baltimore, and more). I was excited to hear about Tucson’s history. Monk seems like a great guy and was very personable. You can feel he has a lot of passion for what he does. However, this tour was lackluster. I’m not sure if it was because there aren’t a lot of stories to tell, but it seemed that he didn’t have a lot of great material to share. I also felt he talked a little too long - my mind started wandering. I really wanted to like this tour but I just wasn’t feeling it and left disappointed.

I've taken ghost tours in the Washington DC area, Charleston, Seattle, San Francisco, New Orleans, Los Angeles, and San Diego. I enjoy ghost tours not because of the supernatural, but because they tend to cover an area's unique history, quirks, and culture. I went on the Ghosts Of Downtown Tucson Haunted History Tour with tour guide Monk in December 2025. He is a friendly, enthusiastic tour guide. That night, the tour group was comprised of 6-7 very friendly adults, and we were all paying close attention. I believe we were a good, captive audience for the tour. Unfortunately, I don't think Monk had a lot of strong material to work with; there probably is not enough interesting history in the Downtown area to develop a top notch tour. While we learned a little about Downtown Tucson, the stories were not very memorable. I wish the tour included a deeper dive into Tucson's unique history, but in Monk's defense, there may not have been enough unique history to draw from. To be transparent, I prefer a "nerdier" or more academic/adult tour over a melodramatic tour. I talked to a few other tour attendees who felt the same way. I've been on ghost tours that were much more memorable than this one, but nevertheless, I'm glad this tour is offered, and I am glad for the chance to learn a little about the city. At the very least, it's a fun way to walk the city at night with a friendly group.

Wear comfortable shoes. The tour was great. Didn’t realize Tucson had such interesting old hotels where deaths occurred. Our guide Monk was a great story teller. Really enjoyed the experience. Plan to take it again this summer with another group of family members.

What a fun evening! Our whole family enjoyed this 90 minute tour through downtown Tucson. The walk included stops at iconic landmarks with a mixture of engaging ghost stories and interesting historical details about the sites and Tucson. Monk (our guide) has a wealth of knowledge and he easily expanded on questions that we asked.

Such a cool experience! This tour brought Tucson’s wild history to life in a way I never expected. The guide was super engaging, and the stories about bandits, pioneers, and even ghostly spirits kept me hooked the whole time. Walking through downtown and imagining the old Santa Rita Hotel or hearing about the Pioneer Hotel tragedy gave me chills. It’s the perfect mix of history, mystery, and fun. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Tucson!

I did the Flagstaff Haunted History Tour on my own, and it was amazing! The guide was super engaging and made the ghost stories feel so real. Walking through the historic downtown at night was spooky in the best way. Even though I went solo, the group vibe was friendly, and I didn’t feel out of place. If you love history and a good scare, this is a must-do!
