- **Max Weight:** This sliding scale is directly related to the physical requirements needed to maintain safe and appropriate balance while sitting in a saddle. While participants are riding, their center of gravity (and balance) is altered by being elevated in a seated position. We adhere to this requirement because: 1. Participants who fall outside this range are significantly more likely to fall off their horse and injure themselves. 2. Participants who fall outside this range and do not have advanced training and experience* in riding techniques, correct riding posture, and correct seated balance in the saddle, cause excess strain on a horse’s back. **Feet Inches --> Max Pounds:** 4' 0" --> 100 4' 1" --> 105 4' 2" --> 110 4' 3" --> 115 4' 4" --> 120 4' 5" --> 125 4' 6" --> 130 4' 7" --> 135 4' 8" --> 140 4' 9" --> 145 4' 10" --> 150 4' 11" --> 155 5' 0" --> 160 5' 1" --> 165 5' 2" --> 170 5' 3" --> 175 5' 4" --> 180 5' 5" --> 185 5' 6" --> 190 5' 7" --> 195 5' 8" --> 200 5' 9" --> 205 5' 10" --> 210 5' 11" --> 215 6' 0" --> 220 6' 1" --> 225 6' 2" --> 230 6' 3" --> 235 6' 4" --> 240 6' 5" --> 245 6' 6" --> 250 6' 7" --> 255 For participants who are over 6'7", please contact us to discuss riding options. *We do not make exceptions for participants who personally attest to having advanced training and experience. Excellent experience all the way around. Hillary and Maddie were great. The horses are very calm and well trained. My daughter (8) and son (14) want to do it again tomorrow. 😅
Tracey and Madi were great. Very interactive and knowledgeable. If you’re looking for a calm activity this is definitely the one for you.
It was an overall amazing experience! the staff and horses were so friendly. Shout out to the wonderful job and dedication both Tracey and Hilary have. I love you guys and even though my date didn't work out, you guys stepped up to the plate and made my day over the weekend! Thank you and look forward to coming back soon :)
Fantastic place to go for a ride no experience necessary just remember the address is not quite where it should be on the map if ordering an Uber
They take the time to walk you through the correct way to handle the horses, mount and dismount the horses. It was just a relaxing ride and nice to learn about the area and the horses backgrounds
Lovely trek around the park, horses did all the work and were super easy. Tour guides were also very friendly and good at helping.
First and foremost I want to say THANK YOU to Francisco who stayed with me the entire time to ensure I didn't feel left out . Ms. Hillary , was a -0/10 the customer service while on the trail ride was horrible for starters when I arrived I arrived with slides on but I had my shoes in the car she cracking jokes about me to other participants saying things about my shoes desperately wanting a laugh was not funny , then we get on the trail on MULTIPLE OCCASIONS she kept leaving me particularly in the back additionally she gave me a slower horse trying to be funny ( which was crazy to me because wouldn’t it make sense to put me in the front so my horse can set the pace) towards the end when my horse stopped she said loudly we’re not waiting let’s keep going trying to be funny. Then when it was time to get the pictures that they airdropped she sent me 29 pictures that did NOT include me to my phone ( I would say probably three or four pictures included me, but I was not looking at the camera or anything ) THANKFULLY Francisco was very accommodating to make sure that I still somewhat enjoyed the experience. As many times as I travel and decide to ride a horse not one instructor have made me feel like I was not a part of the group. I will never book with you guys again, especially if Mr / Ms. Hillary is still on your team. As I stated, thank you once again Francisco for literally accommodating you are the best in that aspect.
Amazing experience! We've been talking about going riding for years. I decided to surprise my husband while on vacation. Joel and Hillary were wonderful hosts, instructors and guides. The ride was beautiful. We saw more butterflies (a passion of mine) than I've ever seen in one place. Not only did they meet us where we were with experience and make sure everyone was comfortable but they taught us so much about the park and it's floura and fauna. We enjoyed every minute.
If you want a great experience be it your first or 100th time, we highly recommend Lake Louisa!
This experience was amazing. From the very friendly and informative instructors to the well trained horses. Just being out there on the trail was so relaxing . This is a must experience.
Excellent.
Loved the experience
The horses were well mannered and treated.
Tracy and her helper were fantastic
Highly recommended.
I loved it, definitely something will do again. I have been wanting to ride for a long time since the last time I went was years ago. It was super nice and awesome experience. If you are going to on the summer I recommend to do it early, not only is beautiful but also the heat is not bad.
My mother and I had a fabulous time on the horseback riding experience at Lake Louisa! The instructors were friendly and informative and we felt completely comfortable despite having little experience with horseback riding. I would highly recommend and we will definitely be going back when the weather cools down
Amazing experience! Thank you so much! This is a very nice and welcoming place; it was an unforgettable experience.
As a first time horseback rider, this was an amazing experience. Hilary and Francisco were great instructors. I rode Mara she was a great girl, and also known as a “sneaky snacker” along the trail ride. My partner rode Gigi, and she goes by the nickname “tesla. It’s almost as if she has auto pilot, very easy to ride, and she moves as if she owns the trail. The overall experience was very knowledgeable. I learned a lot about the history of park, horse life, and new horse jokes along the way.
Heyy… what do you call a horse in a tornado??
A milkshake 🤣
I booked the "Horseback Ride on Scenic Lake Louisa Trails" through Viator to celebrate my birthday (April 9th, 2026), expecting a special and memorable experience. Unfortunately, it turned into one of the most disappointing and upsetting experiences I've had with any service.
My confirmation email clearly stated a 10:30 AM start time. On my way there, I got lost and did the responsible thing -- I called ahead to inform them I would be a few minutes late. I arrived at 10:33 AM and was physically present with the group while the instructions were happening. Despite this, I was abruptly and rudely told by the instructor to leave and reschedule because the briefing had already started.
What made this even more frustrating is that at no point -- in any email or communication -- was I told I needed to arrive at 10:00 AM. I even showed them my confirmation to clarify, and still received no understanding or flexibility.
Trying to remain respectful and not disrupt the group, I calmly went to reschedule as instructed. That's when I was informed, for the first time, that I would have to pay a $75 rescheduling fee. This had never been mentioned before. I explained the entire situation again -- that I had called ahead, that I was only three minutes past the stated time, and that I had been standing there during the instructions. I also shared that this was my birthday and simply asked if there was any possibility to waive or reduce the fee.
There was no effort to help. No empathy. No willingness to even consider a reasonable solution.
I was told a manager would call me to follow up. That call never came.
I then reached out to Viator, hoping for some level of support or mediation, and they simply repeated the company's policy without offering any resolution. No refund, no flexibility, no accountability.
What makes this experience especially upsetting is that I was genuinely excited. I had planned this in advance as something meaningful to celebrate my birthday, and even seeing the location in person, I could tell it was beautiful. But the way I was treated completely overshadowed everything.
I was polite the entire time. I communicated clearly. I respected their process. And still, I was met with rudeness, poor communication, and zero consideration.
This wasn't just disappointing -- it felt careless and dismissive.
If you're looking for an experience where customer service, communication, and basic courtesy matter, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
Peaceful & worth it! Maddie and Hillary were amazing tour guides. I loved hearing about the land while riding our beautiful horses GiGi and River.
The horses were great very well trained. It was a nice walk through the park great for those who have never been on a horse before.
The horses were well trained and the guides are knowledgeable. The trails are beautiful and clean with well directed paths. The only thing that we discussed when we got back to the car was that we didn't ride down to the lake on the horses. EVERY tour should include a lake view!
This experience and a unique and fun one for us. Being total beginners, we may not have been able to ride the horse if the horses were not cooperative as they were. This experience was relaxing and made us feel like achievers.
Took an anniversary trip to Orlando and booked a horseback riding afternoon ride with my husband , came 12 minutes late and we saw them start and leave without us. We tried contacting them but couldn’t and was told we couldn’t get any refund on a $178 trip. Bummed out especially since it was our anniversary and they didn’t even attempt to help make things right. Would not recommend
Had a great time with my daughter and everyone who were there as well!! We absolutely loved it! Would go again!
It was a very nice experience. We got to learn a lot about the lands and edible plants on the trails. It was exciting to get to know our horses names, what breed they are, and how they came to be at the ranch. Overall really fun adventure for us both. Loved Gigi and Pongo the two longest residents at the park.
Definitely well worth it ! I rode Gigi aka the Tesla because she has a mind of her own 10/10 ! Amazing experience all around
It's not fare to others if you don't have in bold print the restrictions for weight an BMI restrictions. For people of a bigger size. It's weight bias.
Booked for my wife’s birthday and drove over an hour, only to be turned away for a BMI policy that’s buried under “Additional Info” instead of shown clearly during booking. No call, text, or email before arrival. Refund denied because they couldn’t resell our spots. Travelers: double-check the fine print before booking, because this rule is not obvious and can ruin your plans.
Amazing, and so tranquil. Our guides where absolutely spectacular. We rode cornbread, and Remi. Both fabulous horses. And scenery was amazing. They explained everything so thorough. And made us feel very comfortable and secure on our horses.
We had an amazing time! The two trail guides were friendly and patient and all around a good time to be around! The horses were picked perfectly for each one of us and I definitely will be planning a trip back!
It’s a fun experience and the park is beautiful. The greenery, the history the tour guide provides of how the park came to be, even the dad jokes were all amazing.
The staff were great and friendly, and the horses were calm and gentle. If this is your first time riding a horse, I highly recommend this place, as they clearly explained all the steps on how to ride and guide the horses.
Awesome ride and want to do it again but for longer! The people running it were friendly and good information about the park
