Don’t forget to wear sunscreen and prepare for a little workout. Tandem kayaking is the way to go for new kayakers.

Very friendly staff. I appreciated the option to cancel (for refund) as we had a random cold front come thru (with small craft advisory). My son and I stayed on the ‘safe’ path to the barrier island and had an amazing time. The shells and wildlife were ethereal. Highly recommend!

Very easy put-in. Kayaks were in very nice shape. We schedule a 2 hour paddle through the mangroves, and it was very enjoyable. We did get a little lost in one channel, and had to back track causing us to be 15 minutes late. I called to let them know we would be a little late. They were very understanding, and told me no problem. In the future, I would schedule a 3 hour trip.

It was a last minute idea for my family of four. We were vacationing in Fort Myers and this was only a short drive. Easy meet and greet and we were off on our single kayaks. Beautiful trip through the mangroves and then out to a sandbar and beach area. Loved shell collecting there because the water was warm (January). We saw many birds of prey and saw an iguana in the tree. Two hours seemed too short. Would take this same trip again next time and go the longer way around. It was very peaceful and nice enjoying the water without a guide. .

We had a great time kayaking hickory key. it was our first time going in a clear kayak and we had an amazing time! they helped us get in and out. we had a 3pm reservation and got to swim at the beach during our time.

What a wonderful, fun 2 hours spent in nature with my family! This company made the experience super easy and was quite affordable. We chose the 3-5pm trip so we could appreciate the late day sun (in December) the paddle through the mangroves was really cool. Highly recommend.

If you tent at low tide, some channels through the mangroves may be too shallow to paddle. Other channels have sandbars at low tide where you can get stuck, even if you paddle in the middle. At low tide that is moving out, the water can be cloudy not allowing for the intended use of a clear-bottom kayak. Saw roseate spoonbills, egrets, pelicans and hawks.

Unfortunately we cannot control the tides and had some very low unusual tides in December. We do say on our website that the best time for the clear kayaks is during high tide. Sorry it wasn't ideal conditions during your time on the water, but we hope you still enjoyed our beautiful area for kayaking.

Did not see any manatee or marine life except for little minnows. Did see pelicans and other birds. Kayaking and relaxing at the beach was fun. Zack & the other guys who set us up for our excursion were knowledgeable and helpful

The area was beautiful but we were the last ones out for the day and they ran out of maps.. so we had to keep pulling out our phones to see where to go. It would have been nice to have them tell us that going the full route with paddle boards is very difficult. There were high winds in deep open water and I barely made it back. Also the water is not as clear as it is in the photos. And definitely not teaming with manatees. We didn’t see any.

Jamie, We are sorry to hear your experience with us wasn't as you expected. Thanksgiving is one of our busiest times so we are sorry we ran out of maps for your group. It's amazing how many of them do not get returned to us which causes us frustration as well. We did have some windy days during this period which can make paddling on a paddleboard a bit harder than normal, but that is out of our control. We do state on our website that the manatee for typically seen April-Sept. when the water is warmer. Also, the pictures on our website are real pictures that were taken in our area. Water clarity is dependent on the winds and the tides so it is not always clear all day.

Sorry Peggy that the wildlife wasn't in the area. We normally see dolphins on our tours and well as lot of birds. The manatee are normally in the area during April-Sept as posted on our website. Come see us again in the summer for a better chance of seeing them.

Easy to book and locate, we had a great experience renting the tandem kayak (we opted against the clear bottom based on previous reviews) Paddling through the mangroves was peaceful, we saw lots of fish, birds and a large iguana. Arriving at the secluded beach, we enjoyed the water (strong current). Arriving back, our guide was helpful and friendly…overall a wonderful experience I highly recommend!

Excellent experience! We did rental and had a great experience. Youngest was 7 and she was able to paddle the clear bottom boats but would have had an easier time with kayak

My husband and our two kids we all went on the self guided tour. We have never kayaked before with the kids and it was easy and the kids had a great time. We went to the beach and looked for shells and swam and hung at the sandbar before heading back. Hannah was amazing, so friendly and super helpful. My kids loved her. Will definitely be doing it again next year, great price too!

Our crew was age range 3-67, only 2 people were experienced and we had a blast! The team was very helpful, explained the map and were very patient. The beach was gorgeous! The kayaks were in great condition. We got a little lost and at the end of the mangrove tunnel there is a big fallen branch that is hard to navigate but it was great! Maybe if allowed to put some markers up for us less experienced map readers would be perfect. Would definitely do again on a less hot day

Easy to check in and get started. The guys were very friendly. The beach was only a 15 minute paddle away and had beautiful white sand and clear water. We went through a canopy of mangroves and saw a huge sting ray. We had a great time.

Once getting through lagoon, water was really pretty! Two hours on the shortest route was enough time to ride to island spend about an hour and 20 minutes there and then ride back. No restrooms but porta john down the road

Was a great family activity with the kids. Saw a turtle, many birds, and a sighting of 2 dolphins swimming. A little disappointed that we didn’t see manatees but not the experiences fault. We enjoyed it very much!

Was one of the highlights of our trip! Discovering all the shells on the uninhabited beach was fun! Beautiful scenery and got to see some beautiful birds on a sandbar and along the way. highly recommend this!
