Our guide Sandy was extremely knowledgeable and experienced. She had a deep understanding of how the Amish people live. She shared their way of life and their customs. She started the tour with a discussion of how the Amish first established themselves in the United States. She spoke about the history to present day. It was truly a very interesting experience and I’d highly recommend if you’re in the Lancaster area to take this tour.

The guide was great, nice first experience in Lancaster Amish area. It would have been perfect if the tour included a stop at the Amish restaurant/cafeteria.

Absolutely wonderful tour of 4 Amish farms, including the one where the movie “Witness” (with Harrison Ford, Kelly McGillis & Lukas Haas) was filmed, a dairy farm with homemade ice cream and a woodworking business’s family farm with handmade birdhouses for sale—made by the 14 yr old son. Our tour guide Dave (from loKal Tours) was the best! Very knowledgeable, informative, personable. He made the tour enjoyable and memorable! We loved having a local guide with such wonderful insider info and perspective. Once again VIATOR came through with booking us a 5-star tour of the area we were visiting :)

It was really nice to be able to ride in the front seat in comfort (with AC) & not worry about where to turn (if driving); I took pictures as we went as well as at the stops. Moses was an excellent tour guide and invited questions at any time. Overall, it was great to see a couple of authentic farm & dairy locations, the property where Witness was filmed and to have an ice cream stop during the 'extra' hot weather we had before the 4th of July (2026).

It turned out that we were the only people on this morning tour which was a major blessing. We had indepth conversations with our guide Mike. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We had a wonderful time.

Moses was an exceptional guide. I was visiting Lancaster with my mom as it had been a long dream of hers and Moses was the perfect man for the task. He answered all of our endless questions and answered all of the thoroughly. I could not recommend this tour enough!

We went there on 4/16/26, a non busy day, so the group was very small (only 6 ppl, a couple plus my family of 4). Dale, the tour guide is very knowledgeable and is a native from the area. He used to be a teacher. I agreed with some of the reviews that the photos are a bit deceptive and wasn't what I expected. I expected more of a "sight-seeing" with time to explore at each stop and to meet some Amish natives. However, the trip didn't disappoint. Dale was telling us all we need to know about the Amish, the area, etc and was never hesitate to answer any questions. The stops at each location was quick, the ice cream was good. The ride to the first stop was 45 minutes but Dale was talking about the history and the area while driving. It's good with adults and High School teens but definitely not with kids under 13 unless they can focus and really loves history. Overall, it's a good informative tour and Dale is 5 out of 5 stars!!

Very informative. Great hospitality. Tour guide Jamie was especially helpful and shared such great info on the history of the Amish. Visiting the barns and homes were great handson experiences with dairy cows, horses and mules.

The Amish tour was one of the best tours that I have been on. Our guide Dale was extremely helpful with history and knowledge of the Lancaster area, that included the beginning from when the Amish came to America, to their every day present living, culture. We were lucky enough to visit working farms, see schools, hear about culture, and even had homemade ice cream from jersey cows milk. I highly recommend this tour, the 3 hours went way too fast.

Our tour guide, Dale, was very knowledgeable about the Amish and the history of the area. He is a native of the area and a retired History teacher. The countryside is so beautiful and the homes and properties are remarkable.
