We went there on 4/16/26, a non busy day, so the group was very small (only 6 ppl, a couple plus my family of 4). Dale, the tour guide is very knowledgeable and is a native from the area. He used to be a teacher. I agreed with some of the reviews that the photos are a bit deceptive and wasn't what I expected. I expected more of a "sight-seeing" with time to explore at each stop and to meet some Amish natives. However, the trip didn't disappoint. Dale was telling us all we need to know about the Amish, the area, etc and was never hesitate to answer any questions. The stops at each location was quick, the ice cream was good. The ride to the first stop was 45 minutes but Dale was talking about the history and the area while driving. It's good with adults and High School teens but definitely not with kids under 13 unless they can focus and really loves history. Overall, it's a good informative tour and Dale is 5 out of 5 stars!!

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review! We’re really glad you had the chance to experience the tour on a smaller, more personal scale—that often allows for more conversation and questions along the way.
Dale will be especially happy to hear your kind words. His passion for the area and deep knowledge of Amish culture truly make the experience special, and we’re glad that came through during your visit.
We also appreciate your honest feedback about expectations around sightseeing and stop durations. That perspective is very helpful, and we’ll continue working to better communicate the flow of the tour so guests know what to expect.
It’s great to hear that, overall, you found the tour informative and worthwhile. Thank you again for joining us, and we hope to welcome you back in the future!

The Amish tour was one of the best tours that I have been on. Our guide Dale was extremely helpful with history and knowledge of the Lancaster area, that included the beginning from when the Amish came to America, to their every day present living, culture. We were lucky enough to visit working farms, see schools, hear about culture, and even had homemade ice cream from jersey cows milk. I highly recommend this tour, the 3 hours went way too fast.
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Thank you! We appreciate the review and the recommendation, and we're thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed the experience.

Our tour guide, Dale, was very knowledgeable about the Amish and the history of the area. He is a native of the area and a retired History teacher. The countryside is so beautiful and the homes and properties are remarkable.

This is definitely a tour to take. We have visited Lancaster many times and taken numerous tours but this was the most informative. Each of us were given an ear piece so we were always able to hear what Moses was saving. Moses was very informative and answered all questions asked. Excellent job, Moses.

We took the 2:30 tour & it does not include a meal. I thought it did. They will get ice cream on 2:30 & meal on 8:30. Our tour guide was excellent. It was a great history lesson & up close views of homes, churches & a dairy farm in working progress.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Thanks for the review. In the interest of clarity, this particular experience (Unique Amish Immersion) does not include a meal at either the 8:30 or 2:30 start time. We do have the Tour and Meal with The Amish that is a meal at an Amish property.

Dale, our guide, was excellent. . He has spent most of his life living in the area and has personal relationships with many Amish people, including the owners of the farms we visited. He had a thorough knowledge of the culture, traditions and way of life of the Amish. He had a wealth of information about the history of religion, especially of the Mennonites and Amish and how they made their way to America. We learned so much. He was professional, kind and very pleasant. We would definitely do another tour with him.
Karen_G, Sep 2025
Great tour guide and visiting the farms. The Amish have evolved somewhat. Great creamery at one farm.

Pamela_T, Sep 2025
The tour guide, who was born in the area, was informative and complete with cultural differences between the Amish and Mennonites and their everyday life. We visited 3 farms and saw families working on the farms complete with ploughs and laundry on the line. We had a nice stop at an Amish bakery and had a delicious, complimentary ice cream cone! The last stop needs to be rethought. Our guide had alerted us about any dogs on the property and told us not to get near one in particular. Unfortunately, this dog had a barking fit and lunged at one of the guests when she walked by. Then I walked by and she took a bite on the back of my leg. I didn’t purpose getting close but simply joining the group. The Amish family was nice to help put a bandage on with salve. *I think the tour should rethink this farm if there are temperamental animals. The company should verify that every first aid kit be stocked with supplies which theirs was not. After the tour I had to spend time seeking treatment, complete with a tetanus shot, and missing a dinner reservation l had planned while in the area.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
We are so sorry this happened. I know it's not likely to help, but this has not happened before in probably a thousand visits to this property. That said, we will take your feedback seriously and will be reaching out directly to you.
Thank you for your balanced review even in the light of what happened.
