I was the slowest in our group (arthritis in knee and hip) but our guide was very good and waited til we were all gathered before telling the historic stories. A lot of up hill walking on cobbles (not surprising!). It was a very good experience and the weather was with us.

Very informative and entertaining tour

David, our guide was very good. He provided lots of information and was entertaining while doing so. Tour guides are limited to where they are able to take groups inside the castle, and David did an excellent job considering the limitations placed on all of the guides from the Castle. After the tour, we were free to explore on our own, and he did a great job of explaining the places that we should go back to explore.

Great tour. Worth the price

First off, my flight got delayed and they were able to accommodate me by pushing out our reservation by 24 hours without charge or issues. We very much appreciated their flexibility. Our tour guide Rory was wonderful. Super knowledgeable and funny. The 2 hour tour flew by and we covered so much literally and figuratively. We got a fantastic overview of Edinburgh and Scottish history and were able to ask Rory tons of questions and for advice on where to go and what else to see. You won’t be disappointed. Strongly recommend on your first day assuming you don’t have flight delays like us. Thanks Rory!

Great St. Andrews trip

We had a great day on the St. Andrews trip with Shea. She was very personable and knowledgeable about Fife. She was raised and still lives in Fife, so she had great information and stories to share. Plenty of time to enjoy St. Andrews and have lunch. Loved the stops and ride through views of the fishing villages. Would highly recommend this trip and Rabbies tour company. We also did the Highlands tour with this company.

Excellent tour with Highland Experiences! The day was long, but they made every effort to make you comfortable on the tour bus and with stops along the way. Our guide was very knowledgeable about Scottish history and obviously proud of his Scottish identity - wonderful to listen to his stories and experiences. The highlight was Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle - bucket list place for us! We could easily have spent more time there. The scenery throughout the day was magnificent and a perfect way to see the Highlands if you are limited on time in Scotland.

Wonderful trip!

For Harry Potter fans, this is a must. For all.others that want to see the highlands in all its glory, this a must. Our guide Jason made sure to touch upon all the high poiints, and also give us plenty of history. Would recommend this. Great tour

The trip was wonderful. Holly was a great driver and guide. She was funny and had a lot of info and history to share as we visited each location. We were able to meet some heilan coo’s, see the Jacobite train passing, and more. The only part that sucked was at the stops the lines were very long for breakfast/coffee, but if you can skip that, lunch is the next stop. So I would have spent more time with the cows had I known better. The long drive on the bus did not feel very long due to the interactive driver.

This is a full 12 hour day. You spend a lot of time on a bus but get plenty of stops for bathroom breaks and site seeing. The bus ride is part of the experience and the landscape and sites are well worth the experience. Do the optional cruise and castle visit at Loch Ness. Again this is a long day but the sites are stunning. We never felt rushed and our bus driver guide Jamie was fantastic and made sure everyone knew when and where to meet.

Great tour through the castle. Ingas was a great guide, and I learned a lot. He shared stories and pictures which brought the history to life. It's easy to walk past the buildings without a full understanding, so it is definitely recommended to have a tour to understand the history from a local.

Absolutely worth it

Darren was a fantastic guide, honestly one of the best storytellers we've had on a tour in a while...maybe ever! He was both entertaining and informative. This is a good tour for general local history too, especially in the graveyard, the second half in the vaults definitely leans more on the ghost side of things. Very glad we went on this tour. Would recommend.
