Great tour

The trip was wonderful. Holly was a great driver and guide. She was funny and had a lot of info and history to share as we visited each location. We were able to meet some heilan coo’s, see the Jacobite train passing, and more. The only part that sucked was at the stops the lines were very long for breakfast/coffee, but if you can skip that, lunch is the next stop. So I would have spent more time with the cows had I known better. The long drive on the bus did not feel very long due to the interactive driver.

Great intro to Edinburgh - SJ is a wonderful Tour Guide!

We had a fantastic tour with SJ! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience really enjoyable. The tour took us through areas including the Royal Mile and Victoria Street before heading to Edinburgh Castle. Even though we had already been in Edinburgh for a few days and had walked around quite a bit, SJ pointed out so many things we had walked right past without noticing and shared stories and history we never would have known otherwise. SJ then took us through the entrance and into the grounds of Edinburgh Castle, where she spent around 30+ minutes giving us an introduction to the castle and its history. At the end of the tour, we were free to continue exploring the castle on our own at our own pace. We really liked that combination — you get the benefit of a knowledgeable guide and then plenty of time to wander through the castle yourself. SJ was very approachable throughout and happy to answer any questions we had. We learned a lot, saw things we otherwise would have missed, and really enjoyed the experience. We would highly recommend this tour — and especially SJ as a guide!

Exactly What We Were Looking For

This is a great tour. It shows you beautiful scenes across the Highlands at a fantastic value. While it's a long day with a lot of driving, your driver will keep things interesting with interesting tidbits about Scottish culture, history, and the sites. It never gets overbearing, with plenty of downtime on the longer elements of the drive. Had we tried to get a similar view of the Highlands any other way, we'd have spent far more money and not had nearly as good of an experience. I'd highly recommend bringing snacks because there's a long period between the start of the trip and the stop in a village with lunch options in mid-afternoon. You'll make a few stops at particularly scenic spots, and at cute hospitality towns along the way. We took the boat tour, which was a nice, casual break in the day. A huge shout-out to our driver Brian Smith. He's extremely charming and funny with just the right energy for the tour. I've taken plenty of tours on other trips, and I think I like Brian the most of any guide I've had.

We toured Edinburgh Castle with Step, who was fantastic. She was knowledgeable, funny, and respectful of everyone in the group. From start to finish, she demonstrated her knowledge of Scotland and the castle. This tour is not to be missed. Glad we did it on our first full day!

Great trip. Fantastic guide

Arrive way before arrival time as it's seating first on gets best seat. We were on time but didn't get to sit together as we happened to be last on bus. I assumed seating would be based on ticket number so people travell7ng together could sit beside one another. Maybe something for the company to consider for future trips. However that aside, it was an excelling outing. The scenery was breathtaking and the boat was amazing. However it was Ewan Fisher our guide who made the trip. He was highly entertaining with loads of funny anecdotes, also very knowledgeable About the history of the country while giving a refreshingly personal content too.

Don’t miss the Underground Vaults tours.

The Underground Vaults were fantastic. Such an interesting but spooky history whilst you are walking inside the vaults. I was in Edinburgh for a solo day trip and this was a great activity to explore. Our tour guide, Jordan, was brilliant. He spoke loud and clear for all participants, especially those who were from different countries. He explained Edinburgh’s dark history and landmarks before leading us to the vaults.

Wonderful Experience

Fantastic, It was all handled very well with just enough time in each spot to appreciate the location and get some photos. We had plenty of rest stops along the way. Felix was our guide and he was wonderful - informative and helpful and very kind. Our 5 year old grandson really took to him! Timberbush appears to run a very professional operation. we saw them everywhere across the Highlands. I actually wish we’d had more time to explore more of the Highlands- but we had to move on back to London!

As someone who has always...

As someone who has always wanted to see the Scottish Highlands, this trip did not disappoint me. It is a long day, however the bus ride was engaging and scenery was worth the drive. Our tour guide Stephen was very knowledgeable and was very clear with communication throughout which was helpful in making sure we maintained our itinerary. If I return to Scotland I would definitely consider taking another tour with this company.
