What are people saying about Skagway

Great day trip!
We did the full-day Yukon tour and it was absolutely worth it. Every stop was beautiful — Tutshi Lake, Emerald Lake, the Yukon sign, Carcross Desert — honestly the scenery looked unreal the entire drive. The guide kept things moving smoothly while still giving enough time for photos and exploring.
The included lunch was BBQ chicken and definitely enough food to keep you full for the day. One recommendation: bring a warm drink for the bus rides and stops. Even in May, Alaska/Yukon temperatures are cold once you step outside for photos.
Yes, we froze a little… but every stop was worth it. If you want incredible scenery and a chance to experience the Yukon in one day, I would absolutely recommend this excursion!

From skepticism to a great time!
Pam was absolutely awesome!! I can honestly say I was skeptical about booking the Wild Adventure Yukon Tour into Canada tour but from embarking on the bus, Pam, w/Skagway Tour made it worth while. Her story telling is great with so many facts about the area. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Absolutely worth it!
It was just as described. What made it special was our guides, Danny and Calvin! Danny is a lifelong resident and a wealth of knowledge. Gave us a science/botany lecture but so much more with a fun personality . Calvin was a guide in training but also knowledgeable, kind and funny. It was super fun. Hike is strenuous for a person in their 60’s, like me. But totally doable if you’re in good shape.

Way better than the train!
We loved this small bus ride through Skagway and up into the Yukon! We had taken the train through that area on our last visit to Skagway and were looking for a different kind of experience this time. We LOVED the bus so much more than the train! The tour guide was great and we appreciated that we were able to get out and take pictures at quite a few scenic locations. We enjoyed the suspension bridge as well. Overall this was an enjoyable and very scenic excursion! Highly recommended!

Love love loved it!!!!
This excursion was AMAZING!!
we were there in late September/early October 2025 the weather and views were spectacular!!!
We prefer doing this excursion over the white horse pass train because the train doesn’t stop.
Our guide was more than informative, he offered to take our pics so we wouldn’t have to do selfies :)

Don't Miss This Experience!
This experience was my husband's and my favorite part of our trip to Alaska. The first part of the trip was on a bus, and the guide gave us information on the area and the things we passed as we drove. Once we got to the base camp area, we got on a Unimog, which was a big truck with giant tires. The rest of the ride to the dog sleds was rough, and a little scary if you were sitting on the edge, but it was fun, and the scenery was beautiful. If you like riding ATVs, it's a similar experience. When we got to the top, the dogs were already hooked up to the carts and ready to go. We got on the carts and the dogs took off, and we couldn't believe how fast they were. It was so much fun racing through the forest, and the forest itself just looks so unreal and magical. After we were done with our ride, we got to meet and pet the sled dogs, then we got back on the Unimog and rode down to a beautiful overlook where we took pictures. After looking around there for a few minutes, we finished our ride back to the base camp. At the base camp we met some retired sled dogs and learned more about the dogs and the Iditarod, which is the race the dogs are training for. Next we met the older puppies at the camp, then we got to hold the youngest puppies. After we were done we had a few minutes to look around the store and the coffee shop, then we got back on the bus and rode back to town. During the ride back, the driver gave us more information about the area and we tried to spot wildlife.
I can't recommend this experience enough!

Great Tour with a wonderful tour company
The White Pass tour was an absolute highlight of our Alaska cruise! The company was welcoming and incredibly accommodating, making everything smooth and stress-free. Our guide was knowledgeable and shared fascinating stories about the area’s history and scenery. We loved the many photo stops, each one more beautiful than the last. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience the breathtaking beauty of Alaska and the White Pass.

Great Alternative to the Train
Perfect way to see the scenery from Skagway to Yukon. The guide, Trey, was very informative and personable. He is also a safe driver which is comforting on the mountain road. We enjoyed the suspension bridge, visiting the sled dog camp, and the scenic stops along the route.

Nice leisurely float
it is a slow float and no exertion is required other than sitting and holding on to the side of the raft
Owen the guide was very knowledgeable and gave us info about the area the habitat, the vegetation, the weather, the price of living there and a bit about his background

Incredible Tour with Mike – A Must-Do in Skagway!
We had an unforgettable time on the White Pass Summit and Skagway City Tour, thanks to our amazing guide, Mike! From the moment the tour began, Mike’s energy, passion for history, and deep knowledge of the area made every stop engaging and meaningful. He brought the stories of the Klondike Gold Rush to life and shared fascinating local insights that we never would have discovered on our own.
The drive up to White Pass was absolutely stunning, and Mike made sure we had plenty of time for photos and soaking in the scenery. His humor, professionalism, and genuine care for everyone’s experience really stood out. This tour was a highlight of our Alaskan cruise, and Mike made it truly special.
If you’re in Skagway, don’t miss this tour—and definitely ask for Mike. He’s the best!
Sincerely,
The So Calis

This was a really great...
This was a really great experience at the Yukon suspension bridge itself. We enjoyed the scenery. The facility was very clean and very nicely put together. But I would say that the best part about this trip was our driver/host, Pat Kennedy. He was very knowledgeable and stopped and took pictures of the guest with different local attractions/areas.

Great tour with a fun group
The chances of spotting wildlife always vary but we saw 3 black bears 2 bald eagle young kings and about a dozen mountain goats.
The scenery is spectacular.
I was expecting to be disappoint d at the stop at Carcross but the food was good and the taxidermy display is worth seeing. Oh - and cute husky puppies!
A good tour guide makes a difference - Kenton was witty, knowledgeable and kept us laughing almost the entire way.
