Alexander - Exception Guide to Schönbrunn Palace
If you’re considering a visit to Schönbrunn Palace, do yourself a favor and book the skip-the-line tour with Alexander—it was easily one of the highlights of our time in Vienna. Alexander is an exceptional guide. His deep knowledge is impressive, but what truly sets him apart is his storytelling. He doesn’t just recite dates and facts—he brings the history to life through vivid, personal stories that make the people who once lived in the palace feel real and relatable. You walk away not only having seen a beautiful imperial residence, but actually understanding the personalities, intrigue, and legacy behind it. The skip-the-line access was also invaluable, saving us a significant amount of time and allowing us to fully enjoy the experience without the stress of crowds. We learned so much and enjoyed every minute. We would highly recommend Alexander and this tour to anyone wanting a richer, more engaging visit to Schönbrunn Palace.

So informative and interesting
This was such an informative tour! Maria our tour guide was so friendly and knew so much about the beautiful city of Vienna! She told us so much about the history of the city, taking us to all the interesting places and her timing was absolutely perfect at the Spanish horses school as they walked them out right in front of us! A great start to our holiday, I would definitely recommend this tour.

Best walking tour ever!
Michael was excellent to show us details of things we would never have seen. He treated every member of the group so special and made us feel like he really cared. He clearly loves his work. I’m so happy we had him as our guide. I feel like we learned so much in two hours that would have taken us weeks to find on our own. I’m so glad we chose this tour.

Great tour for families!
Jeremy was a fantastic guide! We booked the tour with a very short notice because another company canceled on us. It was New Year’s Eve so we were thankful to find another tour company with great reviews. Jeremy didn’t let us down. At the beginning of the tour he asked if there was anything specific we wanted to see, so he catered to us. It was snowy and windy the whole time, but he made sure my kids were comfortable. We even made a quick stop for some hot chocolate and he found a few places where we could sit down for a few minutes to rest and warm up. The city was swamped with people celebrating the new year, but with his expertise, we were able to find quiet streets to avoid the crowds. This was a nice tour to see the sites ands learn about Austrian history!

Walking is the best way to explore the pedestrian-friendly capital of Austria. Vienna walking tours are available for a variety of time frames and interests. You can spend as little as an hour with a guide who will point out not only key sightseeing highlights but also favorite restaurants and shops. Or choose a longer excursion that delves into the city’s cuisine, history, music, or even haunted locales. There are also private walking tours geared toward families and itineraries that cover the world-famous Christmas markets.
