Fantastic Walking Tour of Vienna

This was the highlight of our European vacation! Our guide meet us in the lobby of our hotel at 5:30pm and proceeded to show us all the sights of Vienna in 2.5 hours. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. It was amazing as it was just the 4 of us with our guide! We saw The Franciscan Church (also known as the Church of St. Jerome), Mozart’s Apartment Building (from 1784-1787), St. Stephen’s Cathedral, The Plague Column, St. Peter’s church, Freyung Square, Church of the Minoritenkirche (Italian), The Minoritenplatz, the COVID-19 memorial, the 13th century Hofburg Palace (where many important actions and events took place here, most notably Adolf Hitler's ceremonial announcement of the Austrian Anschluss to Nazi Germany on 15 March 1938), Joseph’s Square, the Vienna Opera House & Heldenplatz (Heroes' Square) and many others. At the end of the tour our guide walked us to a great local restaurant and left us for the evening. Would recommend 110% - fantastic!

Walter our guide was so knowledgable with perfect English, waiting for us on time iat our hotel. Helistened to what we were interested in and then adapted our tour to our interests, I would thoroughly recommend a private tour if you are short on time to give you an insight of Austrian history.
