The food - deep fried sausage stuffed olives (so good) prosciutto, pasta, cheese, seafood - creamy whipped red snapper served a a piece of bread, shrimp, calamari and dessert & Gelato were delicious!! We had a fantastic experience touring Murano and Burano. They were both beautiful islands, with Burano stealing the show with the colorful buildings and cute shops. The tour brought us to a glass blowing factory where we got to watch some of the artists at work, which was very cool. Our guide, Elena, was so enthusiastic and a joy to listen to. She clearly loved talking about her home of Venice and the surrounding islands. Would highly recommend!

The tour is a long one (9+ hours) but you do a lot! You get to tour the inside of St Marks Basilica and the Doge Palace along with trips to Murano (Glass Blowing Demonstration) and Burano (Cute island town with colorful homes and Lace making demonstration) along with a Gondola ride!

Best Dolomite Trip with Chiara our Guide

Great tour to get away from the busy Venice and explore the calmer nature. Chiara was the best guide we could ask for, from being insightful to helping our party with other Venice planning and going above and beyond. She truly made the trip and experience memorable. For the lunch venue at the lake, it will most likely be Albergo Miralago (which is more Austrian than Italian and has limited non-meat options). Feel free to bring your own lunch as well, which is what we did and allowed us to explore more of the lake (walk the east side which is more shaded and less touristy). Cortina was a fun experience as well, with an hour long stop I recommend trekking away from the touristy shopping area and explore calmer neighborhoods - we stumbled upon a coffee shop at a climbing gym at Cortina360 which had great coffee with wonderful views. The bus ride can be a bit long, but there are bathroom and snack stops at clean places which was much appreciated. Would recommend to book this trip while you’re in Venice!

worth the price

excellent educational tour led by Sarah. learned a wealth of information about St Marks Basilica, Doge Palace and Venice in general. after these tours there was an hour and a half to explore, eat lunch, etc before gondola tour. this was also very pleasant, lasting about 45 minutes though the canal. be sure to arrive at tour operators locations in time to check in.
