Alessia is the best guide!
Loved our guide Alessia, so knowledgeable and so kind. The time with the glass maker should be less to allow enough time for lunch and to visit Torcello. The glass on the boats needs to be cleaned to be able to view the islands. Loved visiting Murano and Burano to see how the residents live. Great tour with Alessia - she is wonderful!

Murano and Burano Tour
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Francesca Gin. She offered a wealth of information while on the boat rides to and from Murano/Burano. We actually enjoyed learning from her even more than the visits to the islands. Murano was pretty simple but neat to visit the place where all this beautiful glass is made. We liked Burano better with all the colorful houses and learning about the lace making. A great trip!

Rachele was an excellent host! She gave us fantastic background during our boat tour and provided great support during our visits to the glass factory and Burano lace. We had so much fun!

Burano
  • A boat trip to Burano is a must for photography buffs, who will love capturing the vibrant colors.

  • Venice island tours require getting on and off a boat, so confirm wheelchair and stroller accessibility ahead of time.

  • Burano lace, like Murano glass, is made entirely by hand and is very expensive. Don't be fooled by cheap industrial knock-offs sold at many souvenir shops.

  • The island's main street is lined with souvenir shops, cafés, and restaurants.
