Yum and all of the Fun with at the Tokyo Tsukiji Fish Market
I didn't have a single bad bite at all. Our guide Eriko was so nice and thoughtful. She gave us a little bit of history, recommendations, and even helped us navigate the inner market for tastings not included on the official tour but we were able to purchase with yen (so bring cash!) We ended our tour with a special treat, seeing up close Chef Moritaya fileting a fresh tuna and then made our own seafood salad. A special thanks again to Eriko for curating a special experience at the Tsukiji Fish Market!

Awesome Tsukiji market tour
The tour was conducted by Nori and couldn’t have been better. He led us through the whole market place, shared information about various japanese foods with us and even showed us how to pray at a shrine. He was very attentive and asked the group what kind of food we’d like to try. He also showed interest in the group and we had some nice conversations. I can totally recommend this tour and want to highlight that Nori was an awesome guide.

Walking Tour Tokyo
We booked a six hour private tour and were contacted by our tour guide Ayumi well in advance. We discussed our various options and her recommendations and planned out most of our day. We ended up going to Shinjuku Gyoen Gardens, Harajuku Street, Meiji Jingu Shrine, and Shibuya crossing. Ayumi was very knowledgable, professional, and a joy to be with for the afternoon. At our request she also showed us how to navigate the subway systems and made recommendations on other sites to see while in Tokyo. It was a great tour and I would recommend it highly. Lots of walking, wear comfortable shoes.

Shinjuku Food Tour
Such a fun evening with our guide Elena. Our tour had 4 stops and Elena did a great job of explaining the food at each stop. She was fun and made our evening memorable. And she took great pics of us at many photo ops. A great evening experiencing a lively area of Tokyo,

Taiga was an amazing...
Taiga was an amazing guide. Extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the food and the origin of the food we were eating. Being the life of the tour, he made the experience 10x better. Many dishes we had I did not have on my trip yet which was a plus. Furthermore, I feel like most food tours satisfy your hunger but don’t go beyond that; this tour gives you so much food that we were beyond satisfied. I highly recommend.

Great day exploring Japanese a food culture and making sushi!
The tour of the outer market was great! Shoko-san did a great job in helping navigate the busy streets, pointing out long standing businesses in the area, and encouraging to try some delicious local foods. She allowed enough time to do purchases and also consume the food while we were moving around the area. She has excellent English and knows the area very well.
As for the sushi class, it was such a treat. We have the pro-chef teach us the right way to prepare the sushi with a food instructional demo before we made our own. There was also a very professional presentation and presenter that helped explain what we were doing and the ingredients we were using. The objective of the class was to learn how to form the sushi pieces, not making everything from scratch. The rice recipe and other useful materials were shared at the end of the class via QR code.
Overall, it was a good half day spent knowing better about Japanese food culture, and being able to assemble and then enjoy the shushi we made during the course.

Better than your average food tour
We’ve done walking food tours in many cities but this was definitely a cut above the rest. Our excellent host, Hiro, took us first to a sushi restaurant to try a wide selection of fish and then to a BBQ restaurant where we cooked various cuts of wagyu under his supervision, finishing up with gelato under Godzilla’s watchful eye. Hiro was generous with his explanations of the history and traditions around both foods and we came away with a much better knowledge as a result. (We also compared the chances of Scotland 🏴 or Japan 🇯🇵 winning the ⚽️ World Cup in 2026!)

Great intro to Shibuya,...
Great intro to Shibuya, and fantastically delicious food. There's not a huge variety here - restaurants in Japan seem to specialize, so we got several variations on gyoza and then several variations on tuna followed by a dessert. But we like gyoza and tuna, and the variations were all incredibly tasty. And we wouldn't have found any of the restaurants on our own, so we were very satisfied.

A must do especially if you're a solo traveler
As a solo traveler, this such was a good decision. Yayoi, our guide, was very informative and helpful in explaining the food and interacting with the vendors on your behalf. It's hard when you don't know the language and you have no idea what they're selling. She was very kind when I told her I'd never eaten sushi before and asked if I wanted to just eat one piece to try. I took her up on her offer, she got me one piece, and very momentously, I ate it. I'm glad she offered because I didn't know I could just have one piece and she made it easy for me.

Fun evening
Meg, our guide, was delightful - willing to answer questions about Japanese culture, history of the area and suggest places to visit, along with interest in our trip to Japan! It was a fun evening because of her and the other participants in our small group!

A filling food tour!
This is a great food tour that actually feeds you enough for dinner! The restaurant selection was interesting and nothing we would have tried on our own. Chihiro was a wonderful guide who was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We definitely recommend this tour!

Nice local night out in Shibuya
Our guide took us to 3 very different local places that we would not have found otherwise. They offered a variety of different types of food and drinks and we enjoyed it all. We were stuffed and you could drink pretty much all you wanted. We had two others with us and the guide (sorry I am not great with names) and they were all great company. It was a nice night out in Shibuya.
