Great experience
My husband and I did this class during our short stay in Siena and had a great experience. We did the 1030 AM class figuring we could have lunch as part of it - and I'm so glad we did lunch. We were so full at the end! It was good to walk around a bit after. We ended up being the only 2 people in the class which was fun. The instruction was great and everything was set up and ready for us. Once we made the 3 different pastas and the tiramisu, we went down to the restaurant to eat it. We ended up not being able to finish it all and were thankful for a to-go box (it made for a great dinner later!). We also were able to get the recipes (on a QR code) so that we could make it on our own later. I would highly recommend this class.

Great class in a real Tuscan home. Perfect for families with teens and/or beginners
We booked because it said it would be held in Siena proper, but this class was about a 30 min car ride away. That’s quite alright because our teacher’s husband kindly offered to pick us up and drop us off at our hotel. The setting was beautiful so we were happy to see the Tuscan countryside and to be in a home rather than a restaurant or cooking school. My son (14) and I were the only students this day and Genny made us feel very welcome in her home. We learned how to make pasta from scratch—tagliatelle and spinach-stuffed ravioli, plus a tiramisú. It was quite easy to follow all the steps and we felt very successful. Nothing was too hard and Genny helped when needed. She had already prepared one sauce made from canned fresh tomatoes from her garden which was spectacular. The other sauce (for the ravioli) was made from butter, cheese and fresh sage from her garden. Also great. We then sat together and ate where the hospitality continued. We tried two kinds of Tuscan pecorino, homemade bread, delicious wine, and vin santo with the tiramisù which was such a treat. All more than we expected. If you have a free morning or afternoon to pass in Siena I highly recommend this class. (Also to note: I am a very experienced cook and thought the level of the class would be perfect for absolute beginners/teens learning to cook.)

Our tour guide Mohad was...
Our tour guide Mohad was incredibly knowledgeable, not only about Siena’s history but also about all the food, wine and gelato places. Some of them truly hidden gems!
Perfect mix of walking tour and tasting of local specialties, all within 3 hours and away from the big tourist areas.
I would highly recommend this tour!

Alina is a great teacher and knowledgeable. Very generous to welcome us to her farm and take time to host a great lesson and meal and tour. She was happy to answer all our questions and help us learn. We want to stay at her farm on our next trip to Tuscany!

Awesome experience in the heart of Tuscany.
This was so much fun! My husband even says he now wants to have date nights and cook fresh pasta at home (while drinking Italian Chianti Classico, of course). Would highly recommend this experience. Everything from the food, to the location, was perfect.

I would give it 1000 stars if I could!
I cannot say enough nice things about this tour and tasting. Alice was an amazing, making sure my group got to see and taste everything this winery had to offer. We felt as though we were guests of the family, and you do not want to miss this beautiful spot and wonderful people.

Siena marks the heart of Tuscany, so it’s no surprise this city is home to some of the region’s most classic cuisine. Unveil the secrets behind beloved Tuscan dishes during a hands-on cooking class in the Old Town or at a farmhouse, winery, or villa in the countryside. Siena cooking classes focus on authentic recipes—from bruschetta and pici pasta to sweets such as castagnaccio and tozzetti—and often finish with lunch or dinner served with local wines. Whether you opt for a private or group class, you’ll come away with new recipes to try at home.
