10/10 Best tour of our trip - ask for Giorgio!!

My sister and I had an absolutely wonderful experience on this Mt. Etna tour! Our guide, Giorgio, was engaging, funny, and clearly passionate about his home. He grew up in the area and told us that no matter where his travels take him, he always returns to the city he loves. His knowledge of both Catania's history and the history of Mt. Etna was incredible, and he shared it generously throughout the day. The tour itself was packed with highlights: we saw the sites of past eruptions, walked into a lava cave, explored several craters, and stopped at multiple local shops to taste honey and olive oils along the way. Giorgio was also an excellent driver, navigating the winding, bumpy roads smoothly and safely the whole time. One tip for future travelers: wear proper trekking shoes! The terrain can be slippery, and the lava rocks are tricky to walk on without solid footwear. Highly recommend this tour and ask for Giorgio if you can!

Loved it !

My wife & I loved our trip with Stefano! We stopped at 4 swimming spots, enjoyed a glass of wine and some appetizers! The water was incredible and Stefano’s boat is immaculate. We booked this a day or two before and are so glad we did! The perfect escape from the city heat. Highly recommend. Stefano is so kind and a great captain!

Really Good, Informative, diverse & Entertaining Tour for all the Family

Alessio was our excellent guide on our tour. His passion for the area, history & nature points of interest really shone through. He happily answered questions (esp from my 8yr old) . The four ‘parts’ of the tour are really well designed & a fantastic experience was had by the whole family.

Magic Etna walk and Taormina visit

Pick up went very smoothly. About an hour before a pick up our tour guide/driver sent us a reminder of everything we need to bring. Usefull tip: altho web page allowes you to be picked up at via Etnea drivers cannot go there by car so pick something close like McDonalds 200 m from there. On the begining of out trip our guide Alessandro walked us through todays plan and possible options and throuought the whole way tried to explain us as many things as he could so that we have better experience when we arrive at Etna. As a group we decided to go on Etna volcano first and as we got there and while one part off our group went for a cable car/bus/walk option to the 3000 m, we opted for a trekking through volcanic craters with our tour guide. I would definitly recommand it. Our gudie made sure we are following him, and tried to modify the trekking due to our wishes and possibilities. He was also very patient and helpfull during tons of photos taken and showed us everything he coul think of. After visiting Etna (took us about 3 h due to the crowds) we went for a lunch/wine tasting option. I also recommand it if you are keen on experiencing Etna through specific engridients, products and wine sorts specific to that region. We finished our trip by going in Taormina. The place itself is nice and full of luxury brand stores but was very different contrast to Etna and its green and black plains. Overall I would definitly recommand this trip. We had an amazing time thanks to our guide Alessandro.

Beautiful Views

This was a shore excursion for us, from the Port of Messina. Our guide, Katia, was top notch. She gave us a tour filled with passion, knowledge and glimpses into Sicilian life in the past and present along with an inspiring walking tour with so many beautiful views. Katia was also very knowledgeable about upcoming changes in Sicily that focused on tourism. Toward the end of the tour she gave us some hidden gems for a quick bite and then dessert. Thank you to our driver Jack also for his wonderful driving skills!! Definitely recommend. Thank you!!!

Take A Hike

What a great experience hiking Mt Etna with our guide, Ernesto! Tour operator provided hiking boots (definitely required!). Nice cool morning was welcome for our challenging hike. Took some breaks along the way, and made it up to 2,300 meters (started at 900). Ernesto was an awesome guide. This is a strenuous hike (thought I was going to need to sit down a few times, but trekked on). You need to be in somewhat of good shape for this climb.

Great snorkeling trip

Great snorkeling trip, saw lots of fish. Wetsuits were provided which was great because the sea was still cold in May. We had the boat to ourselves which was incredible. A private tour for the price of a shared trip. Location was easy to find, and Pepe reached out over what’s up the day of to confirm the meeting location. I would suggest to download whats up before the trip and also to arrive early. He took us to two locations and asked if we wanted to continue to the second location, or to just tour around on the boat. So just communicate your needs and expectations and he will accommodate.

Great Experience

Wonderful trip. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and appropriately funny. Lunch was excellent. There is a significant amount of walking which could be an issue for some people. The only thing I would change would be to reduce some time at the ruins in Syracuse and add it to Noto and/or Ortegia. Also, rent the voice guide at the Syracuse park to get a better idea of what you’re viewing.
