It was so nice to get out of "Cruise world" and into the real world with a local who could support our day's adventure. Michael picked up immediately on the types of experiences we wanted to have with our day for our family and young kids. Best Snorkeling Trip Ever

We enjoyed our boat and snorkeling excursion in the West End of Roatán so much! We explored the Blue Channel, the Aquarium and Turtle Crossing. Right from the start we had a great experience. We signed up through Viator and immediately got a response from Dani the guide coordinator. He was very responsive and stayed in communication with us throughout the entire process. He sent us all the information we needed to meet our driver when we arrived in Roatán and disembarked from our cruise ship. Our driver Daysi was there at the cruise ship port waiting to pick us up and she was very friendly and talkative. She told us all about the island and life on Roatán as she drove us over to the West End. We got onto the boat and headed out into the bay. All three snorkel spots were amazing! So many fish and other coral reef wildlife were everywhere. The water was warm and the snorkel gear was solid and didn't leak or get too foggy. My wife and I had the best snorkeling experience of our lives in Roatán and we are already planning our return to that island. When we finally get back there we will be booking this exact same snorkel excursion with Dani and Deysi as well as the two boat operators, who were also fantastic! This was a 5-star experience and we would highly recommend you book it if you're able to snorkel while on Roatán. Cheers!

An unforgettable experience in Roatan

This was an unforgettable experience in Roatan. If you are looking for a thrilling adventure this is the execution to do. The ziplining up in the forests was a lot of fun. At first it can be daunting and scary but the guides that are with you throughout the course ease you into it and give you confidence to down all the lines. Furthermore, the mini zoo was also a great experience where we got to see macaws, monkeys and sloths. You can even have the monkeys jump onto you, which was cool. The guides gave us plenty of time to take pictures.

Great experience

This was an incredible experience! My children and myself felt very safe and at ease with our wonderful guides. We loved the zip Line experience. Our guides were kind and very efficient. Riding into the forest in the pouring rain made it feel next level adventure. Such a memorable experience. The animals were an added bonus monkey just hop right on you (they were gentle) learned some about the animals and being so close to the sloths was a pleasure. Great experience and value.

So much fun!

This was amazing! First, our driver Kent, picked us up at our hotel and drove to the boat location. Bruno and Josh got every fitted with gear, water, juice, and watermelon to snack on. Once we got started, the captain drove to the 1st site and we got to see starfish, Sand dollars, and other small fish and crabs. Bruno and Josh were in the water with us the whole time and available to help anyone who needed it. This was an amazing excursion and all 3 sites were so fun. Once we got back to the dock, we found that Kent was there waiting to drive us back to our hotel.

Awesome tour, awesome guides

This tour was SO fun and the guides were wonderful!! One thing we didn't realize was that the zip line experience was 16, yes 16 zip lines. It took a long time to do, but we enjoyed it so much, I would definitely do it again! It was wonderful to see everyone from those who were pretty brave from the beginning to the timid and scared gain in confidence was they went. The men manning the experience are strong and very good at directions; as long as you listen to them and do what they say, you will be fine. I am over 60 years old and was doing flips off the deck! Also others I had never met became like family as we encountered and cheered each other on. Just marvelous. And my friend who is less mobile and was scared at the beginning had a blast! One piece of advice: you can't really carry anything with you or you may lose it, but you can leave your things at the reception and they are trustworthy. Do ask them to get you a bottle of water if you find you need one; it was very hot and humid, and I started becoming dehydrated, but they noticed and zip lined water to me!! 😁 We decided to skip the wildlife sanctuary as we wanted to have plenty of time to snorkel, so one of the guides took us there right after the zip lining. We were on a boat by ourselves apart from the boat driver and REALLY enjoyed the experience!!

Perfect day with a private local guide

First things first, I took this tour from Coxen Hole, not Mahogany Bay. As soon as you step out of the cruise port there is a crowd of potential guides offering their services. I was still quickly able to find someone holding a "Roatan Getaway Tours" sign and within a minute led, by Monique, our guide for the day to her car where she quickly got us away from the crowd and took us to the zip line. She checked us in and within just a few more minutes we were outfitted with harnesses and driven up the hill to begin the course down. We had a blast and could even see the cruise ship from the top of the course. As soon as we got done, Monique was right there again to take just the two of us across the island to have an experience with the sloths and monkeys. It was great as well. Real up-close and personal with the animals. Once we finished with that, Monique gave us a short drive to the dock where we went on a snorkel boat with just 3 other people. I've been on so many snorkel tours that felt like we were just one in the herd. We had an amazing time viewing the diverse coral and fish and clear water. We both thought it was probably the best snorkel trip we'd ever done. After that we were offered to be taken back to the dock or dropped for an hour at a beach on a small island on the reef. We wish our cruise line had given more time in port for us to enjoy it and it was 100% our choice to skip the beach and head back to port so we weren't rushed getting back aboard the cruise. Throughout the day, we were given perfect service that made being in a new foreign place a delight and was super simple. Monique just took care of all the details for us. I would book with this provider any other time I am back in Roatan 10/10. 5 stars. Couldn't do better!!!

Great Roatan experience for the whole family.

Excellent family friendly adventure. We had easy pick up at the cruise port and a private shuttle to the ATV’s. The ride through the village was beautiful, the animal encounter was quick but very entertaining and informative. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were a family of 6 with two children ages 5 and 9. Would highly recommend this tour.

The zipline view was great

This is very exciting and fun activities. And view of Port and cruise ships from zipline area is spectacular. You walk out of port to see the sign holding staff, walk a few block then you get fitted for 15 zipline from top of the hill overseeing the port. Very safe and fun, kids were doing flips. Then small petting zoo for some photo. Then getting on a van to drive to West side for either beach or snorkel for an hour.

Outstanding excursion...

Outstanding excursion from start to finish. The communication the day before and the day of the excursion was excellent. We started with the trip to the animal sanctuary. It was incredible!!! We were able to hold a monkey and a sloth. Our guide Roman was the best. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. The we stopped at the chocolate factory. We were able to purchase chocolate that was made right at the factory and it was delicious. Then we headed to the ATV/Dune Buggy. This was the highlight of the excursion. We rode around a large course thru the trees, up and down terrain, and thru the mud for about 1/2 hour. It was awesome! Definitely bring a change of clothes. Finally we head to a private beach resort. They had showers and changing areas, two large pools including a kids pool. The beach was perfect. The even had a beach bar which served lunch. (They also had a sit down pool restaurant that we did not use but I'm guessing the food was good as this is where the beach bar got their food.) LoGan was our guide for the entire day. Incredibly knowledgeable and the perfect guide for the day. I would highly recommend this experience. For what it's worth it was myself, my wife and my three kids (12, 14, and 20). Everyone had a great time.

A great Experience!!!

My Family had an awesome time with ATV and Horseback riding. Henry was great guide for us on the ATV’s. We enjoyed the twist and turns. Great views by the water. Horseback was amazing as well. Riding thru the water a can’t miss. Definitely a Must do when you come to Mahogany Bay.
