A real adventure

This is my second time doing this tour. It’s extremely fun and fulfilling but you need to know, this is an adventure, it’s not a tour. The boats need to haul to get there, and it’s open ocean. There can be waves and some minor knocking around. You have to jump off a bobbing boat into the water, and then there’s a 35+ foot animal you have to swim strategically with/around to keep them at a distances per animal welfare rules and common decency. It’s a physical day with a lot of adrenaline. If you’re looking for a life-changing adventure that gets your heart pumping, this is it. If you’re looking for sea world and don’t think you can pull yourself onto a ladder with waves, probably not the best idea. The guides are so helpful, and really want you to be safe and satisfied. One of the best experiences of my life.

Plan to get dirty, a little wet and possibly muddy (if it rained recently)! But that’s all part of the experience 🙂 ATVs were a blast, our guide Pablo was wonderful and knowledgeable about the Mayan culture and history - plus just a super nice guy. The tequila tasting was delicious - be prepared to bring some home and don’t buy anywhere else b/c it’s the best I’ve ever had!

One person In our party uses a motorized scooter and they were very accommodating. Let us park it and then pushed us to the beach in the beach wheelchair. They took great care of us with great service. Food and drinks were excellent and plentiful! Our 4th time there for this exact reason

We love some awesome ruins

We loved this tour to the Chacchoben ruins. They were awesome and our tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We did this instead of booking the cruise tour and I think it worked out perfectly. It felt a little sketchy walking past the cruise booked tours and then getting to our company-but once we were on our bus it was awesome. They brought us to the site and explained a ton of things on the way. Then once there they guided us through the ruins. We were able to climb on a lot of the ruins (there are multiple temples and other structures) Then on the return they stopped at a small fruit stand and gave us the opportunity to buy the most delicious fruit from a cute little stand. Delicious and well worth the couple of bucks. Once back to the port we had the option to go to the beach for about an hour and a half or go to the boat and be done. We chose the beach and had a blast playing in the shallow water with a wonderful beach chair and umbrella on the side. It was awesome. Then they brought us to the port in time before our cruise left! Ratings- Checkin- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bus ride-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tour guide-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ruins-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Even for teens-5 ⭐️(but they also love museums so maybe not for every teen) Fruit Stand ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (bring about $10 in cash) Beach 4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️but better than other options in the area. Emmanuel was an incredible tour guide. Our driver and photographer were top notch. Our crew of ten did a private tour and it was 100 percent worth it. We had a very customized and memorable experience, and Emmanuel even worked closely with the younger members of our crew to make sure they were comfortable the entire time.

Be prepared for heat. Guide shared tons of information

It’s a long day, and if you come during their summer be prepared for the 42°C heat. Bring or rent an umbrella ($7usd to rent or buy a smaller version for $100 pesos, lots of people selling by the entrance), water and electrolytes, comfortable shoes for the walk and energy to endure the tour while the heat is scorching you from the ground up. It is indeed an incredible place to visit , the magnitude of the place for its time is incredible. The guide (Alfredo) explained and taught us a lot - he also walked around the place with us (which I heard some guides don’t do). We then had 40min of free time , which both me and my child preferred to go back to the bus and the AC. Be prepared to walk by lots and lots of people trying to sell their souvenirs and arts, cash is king and you should always negotiate. If you don’t want to buy anything, just keep going, say no thanks and move forward. The 1st stop of the tour was a local place where they try to sell you everything (the “selling” starts already in the bus for the Mayan birth certificate). I think it’s great to be able to buy from local communities but they I didn’t like the pressure- there is one vendor following each adult and trying to make you buy if you stop for 2 seconds looking at an item. I left the store without buying anything just because of how it made me feel. Yet, many people from our group were buying so the system works for them. The 3rd stop is the cenote, which is inside a lovely place , it’s clean, very organized and the food was ok. You have to pay for the rental of the mandatory life jacket (80pesos) and a locker (optional). We had about 2h in the place including lunch (which was enough for us). The final destination is a colonial style town and only 30min, which felt not enough. The city has a very old church which was closed, and we did the tequila tasting near it. There are souvenirs stores , coffee shops and ice cream shops- but we didn’t have time for more than one thing ( I did the tequila tasting and didn’t have time to go get an ice cream) . Honestly it’s fine, it had already been a long day. The tour included cold water bottles which was great . The bus is very comfortable and our driver was great too, I think his name was Tiberius.

One of the BEST excursions I've been on!!!

A group of 17 of us did this excursion and it was amazing and definitely worth every DIME. Let's start with the beginning the transportation was great with AC. Next was the ATVS, they let us cut loose and have a good time zooming around and through the mud puddles. My family members loved jumping in the cenote and the pictures were so beautiful that we definitely took advantage and purchased them all. After the ATVs the drivers gave us water and juice. How sweet bc it was a little hot as it is July!!! Next we had the tequila and chocolate tasting and they were generous with the tasting!!! Last was the lunch and beach. Again, this was all included in the pricing and the lunch was filling and GOOD. If I come back I will definitely do this excursion again as it was a AWESOME VALUE. As reference I did this excursion coming off Carnival Mardi Gras and we were back in well enough time and didn't have to worry about hurrying back to the ship. We actually had enough time to shop a little before heading back to our ship. Thanks again for an amazing experience.

Fun day

Look for May-Be tours. Covered Boat but expect it to be full. We had about 21 guests with 3 employees. It was a great experience. Omar was incredible! Super attentive, knowledgeable and made it fun. The trigger fish ceviche was excellent! I will say, the reefs made me sad. Loved seeing the fish but they are badly bleached, all brown little to NO color. We saw a barracuda, sea turtle, lots of curious fish. Several in our crew saw small sharks. Then took us to sea stars. Then to sting rays where we could stand in the water and that’s when we had the snack.

Thankful that we decided to book this trip for my entire family. The boat ride was great and we received great care while on board. The boat looks like the pictures they provided. I am also happy they were able to accommodate shuttle transfer for the entire family. Very easy booking.

We booked everything they had to offer! It was definitely a worthwhile experience!! Our tour guide was Skinny Boi. 1. Ziplines you get 4 different circuits to complete. 2. ATVs go as fast as you want but i garuntee you are not keeping up with skinny boi 3. Horseback riding was kinda fast but we were ready for tequila. 4. Tequila tasting.. nuff said! We had 5 shots of the local crafted Tequila. It really gassed us up for the finale- The Cenotè 😮 5. The Cenotè was perfect it is a body of water in a cave.. i jumped from 30 feet but there is a 14ft option or you can just walk down the pathway to the bottom (punk 🤣). 6. Last but not least we had tacos. You can also purchase alcohol and more tacos. Bring cash!!!!!! Service is terrible in the location but that is the only con to the whole day
