Moving tour.

⸻ Visiting Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum is an incredibly moving and important experience. It’s so much more than a Memorial. A place where immersed suffering took place. . However, our tour time was changed and part of our visit ended up taking place after dark. Lighting was very limited, and many of us had to use our cell phones to see the uneven ground while walking. If your tour is later in the day, it’s something to be mindful of for safety and comfort.

The tour was operated by the Auschwitz’s museum guides as I understand all tours are and was very informative and powerful as expected. The driver, Michael, was excellent. Arrived 5 minutes early so we were in our way immediately. The car was clean and to an extra bit lunch was added. Would highly recommend.

Booking was easy and i was messaged a few days prior to confirm. However on Viator i booked a 10am pick up and was told to be ready for pick up at 5:45am. No chance for toilet or food breaks - make sure you take food with you and go the toilet any chance you get. Tour itself and its guide was great. Driver was ok. Bus was clean.

Very informative tour, the guide was very good and had a lot of knowledge. The driver, Marcin, was lovely and his bus was clean and comfortable. We were offered a packed lunch too, but unfortunately there was no gluten free option, so we brought our own and were able to leave it on the bus until our break between camps. Would highly recommend this tour.

Tiring but well worth it.

It's a long day with lot's of walking. Early rest the day prior or not planning anything major after this tour is advisable. Nevertheless it is worth it. The private car that was used was clean. The driver is polite and speaks very good english. Manages the time well and ensures you are not in a rush.
