So to start with our tour was put back from a 7am pick up to 12:30, the evening before our trip, with our free hotel pick up cancelled even though we were on an accessible street.
We then had a delay of over an hour in our pick up, because of a marathon. I presume that this was put in place months before and the company would have known about road closures etc.
Our trip now started at 1:30pm , which was six and a half hours later than arranged, which was unacceptable.
We paid for an English speaking tour, who was very poor and was not fluent in any way.
The tour felt very rushed as at the end it was starting to get dark.
We finally got back around 10pm, so missed our dinner reservation and our last evening in the city which was not good when you are only there for a few nights.
Overall, a very poor experience which saddens me as I use this company slot. The customs service was poor and refused to refund any of my trip, including the €50 I lost on a dinner reservation.
Very poor experience.

Driver was 40 minutes late for the pickup due to the Krakow marathon but I'm sure the event was planned in advance so they should have anticipated the traffic issues.
Onsite guide was knowledgeable but spoke very fast and her English wasn't really good enough to be a tour guide.
Gary_M, Mar 2026
Driver was very helpful and pleasant but pick up time and location were changed by the operator without warning or consent.
Matthew_L, Mar 2026
Very good day, lots of walking. Early start 5.45am back at hotel for 1.30pm learnt alot about the history of the camp.
Phil_C, Mar 2026
They changed the time from 7 in morning to 12.30 in the afternoon. And came at 1300. Last minute said they could not come to hotel and wr had to walk to very busy bistro stop and wait. Could not understand tour guide. And got us back late went down all the back roads to avoid paying tolls
Paul_G, Mar 2026
Booked tickets a couple of weeks before trip to be then contacted whilst I was at the airport asking if I could change the date as there were no tickets available!!?? 2 days isn't enough time when I had other trips already planned for my other days. So after a lot of heated conversations with the tour company and Viator they said it was ok and they would take me (so no idea why all the fuss in the first place ).
On the plus side the drivers were punctual and friendly and the tour guide was very good so can definitely recommend the tour itself.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re really glad everything worked out in the end! We truly appreciate your patience with the earlier confusion, and it means a lot to hear that you enjoyed the tour and had a great experience with our drivers and guide. We hope to welcome you again on another trip!

Very professional. Comfortable transport.
Prompt pick up times.
Easy to communicate with.
Viator had to change our day which initially upset our itinerary but they accommodated us the following day.
Mattew/ Matteus ? Was our group guide who was lovely, but a lovely lady gave us the tour of Auschwitz, who was so respectful and spoke so clearly .I cannot recall her name.Experience will be never forgotten
Response from Host, Mar 2026

We really appreciate your flexibility with the schedule change, and we’re glad our team took good care of you. It’s wonderful to hear you enjoyed both guides—your unforgettable experience means a lot to us.

Although we felt a little somber the trip was incredibly interesting and the tour guide very knowledgeable. This made the 6am pick up more than worthwhile!

A must do tour if visiting Poland. Communication from the tour operator was great, picked up at 10.55 and arrived back in Krakow at 6 ish and the bus was comfortable. The tour itself was so informative, the guide Ziggy spoke excellent English and the tone of the tour was very respectful.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear the communication and transport met your expectations and that you found the tour informative

Shan_R, Feb 2026
The tour around Auschwitz was very good. Our tour guide spoke good English and had a good knowledge of Auschwitz, she was able to answer questions posed and gave lots of information.
We did both sites and it snowed so wrap up warm as the second site is completely outdoors.
The only issue was with the company - for some reason they were not able to get tickets (which is what I thought we got when we bought the tour) so we had to rearrange one day and then they still couldn't get tickets so we had to leave our hotel at 3am to get there to be the first in the queue on the second day. I thought this was very odd and luckily we didn't have anything else booked so we were able to comply but if we had other booking this would have been an issue. I would recommend this tour but when booking just double check that the tickets have been booked in advance.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad to hear that you found the Auschwitz tour informative and that your guide’s English and knowledge met your expectations. It’s also great that you appreciated the detailed explanations at both sites.
We sincerely apologize for the ticketing issue and the inconvenience it caused, especially having to leave your hotel so early. Your feedback is very important, and we will review our booking process to ensure tickets are confirmed in advance and avoid similar situations in the future.
We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a smoother experience on your next tour.

From start to finish the experience with Viator for this emotional visit was expertly run.
Thank you
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Thank you so much for your kind words.
We’re honored to have supported your meaningful visit and are delighted that your experience with Viator was seamless from start to finish.
Gail_W, Feb 2026
It was a great experience to feel what the victims experienced. The tour explanation by tour guide was excellent. The problem was no explanation regarding uneven slippery steps and number of steps. The streets were also uneven. I thoroughly enjoyed it the best tour that I will remember forever. Glad I did not bring my sister she would have had to stop. People with heart back knee or hip problems are not warned.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We’re so glad the experience was meaningful and that you enjoyed the tour guide’s excellent explanation.
We appreciate you raising concerns about the uneven and slippery steps and the lack of warning for guests with mobility or health issues. Your comments are valuable and will be shared to help improve safety information for future visitors.
Kayleigh_L, Feb 2026
Booked the trip, to be told our pick up would be 7.00AM. Only then to be told the night before that the tour operator hadnt issued us tickets and we had to go at 3AM in the morning instead, to wait in line until the gates opened at 6.30AM to be in with a chance to get tickets on the day. We had to stand in -5 degrees, plus snow for over 3 hours in total on arrival for our tickets which massively affected our experience.
When we got to the second camp, we couldn’t tolerate the long stands, cold weather and all ended up being unwell.
The tour guide who collected us from the hotel had been quite contradictory with another tour guide from the same company, who kindly let us leave the line at one point to get a hot drink where as the original tour guide declined and said we had to wait with him.
I’ve booked via Viator before for this experience, and didnt experience anything like this!!
To top it off our original booking had been cancelled, so we had no choice really but to rebook this specific booking and pay double the amount we’d originally got the tour for!!
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re truly sorry for the last-minute changes, the extremely early start, and the difficult weather conditions you endured. Standing in -5°C temperatures for several hours is certainly not the experience we want for our guests, and we understand how much this impacted your visit.
We’re also sorry for the confusion regarding ticket arrangements and the inconsistent communication from the guides. This is not the level of coordination or care we expect from our tour partners.
Additionally, we regret the frustration caused by your original booking being cancelled and needing to rebook at a higher price. We completely understand how disappointing that must have felt, especially given your previous positive experience with Viator.
Your feedback is being taken seriously and will be reviewed with the operator to help prevent this from happening again.

Kenneth_M, Feb 2026
It was canceled the day before because company couldn’t get tickets. Totally unacceptable when this was booked almost two weeks in advance. Ruined my vacation plans as everything was centered around this trip
Response from Host, Feb 2026
We’re truly sorry your tour was canceled at such short notice, especially after booking well in advance. We completely understand how disappointing and frustrating this must have been, particularly with your vacation plans centered around the visit.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the disruption this caused. This is not the standard of reliability we aim to provide through Viator, and your feedback will be shared with the tour operator to help prevent this from happening again.

Matthew was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and willing to share this information with us all. He answered all of my questions and recommended krakow favorites from dining to must see adventures. He has a promising future in this industry! I have not had the same experience with other tour guides so it was a welcome experience.
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Thank you for your kind feedback. We’re delighted to hear that Matthew’s knowledge, openness, and helpful recommendations made your experience so positive. We’ll be sure to pass along your compliments, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

WonderWay is an absolute scam and should not be allowed to operate for mismarketing and bad behavior with customers. First of all, they do not have guaranteed tickets, and they rely on distribution from the Auschwitz Museum for tickets that are then passed on to consumers.
My original trip was supposed to leave at 6am, and they informed me that it would be moved to 3am because we would have to go to the museum and queue up for tickets. We would have to wait there until the museum opens at 7:30am. I begrudgingly accepted, but when I confirmed the pick-up time at 5pm, they had moved it further back to 00:30, which was no longer a compromise and, in my opinion, crossed all boundaries of acceptance.
I have travelled to 50 countries and taken multiple trips across all of them, and I have never seen an operator shift the pick-up time from 6am to literally midnight. When I complained about this, they came up with an unbelievable excuse that no tour operator in all of Krakow had been offered tickets by the museum, which I absolutely cannot believe and consider an absolute lie. When I challenged this, their rude response was to tell me to go to the museum myself in the morning and check.
When I wanted to proceed with cancellation around 8pm, they again said I was too late and continued to argue with me for an hour or two about refunds. They did not accept their mistake even once. All of this happened over WhatsApp, so I have proof and screenshots to share. I seriously believe that you should be really wary before you book anything with Wonderway as they will ruin your trip (December 07, 2025)
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re truly sorry for the stress and inconvenience caused by the last-minute changes to the pickup time, and we understand how upsetting this must have been.
Because this booking was made only a few days before the travel date, and during an especially busy period, the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum assigned very limited and early entry options. We shared each update as soon as we received it, but we understand that these changes were far from ideal.
We genuinely regret that this situation affected your trip and appreciate your feedback, which helps us improve how we communicate and support our guests in the future.

Terrible communication and poor organization.
They only informed us of the pickup time the night before the activity, moving it up from 6:00 AM to 5:40 AM. Despite the earlier time, they were 20 minutes late, so we ended up waiting until 6:00 AM anyway.
When we arrived at Auschwitz at 7:10 AM, we waited in line only to be told by the staff that the agency hadn’t booked the activity correctly. We were forced to wait in a different line, which caused us to enter the camp 40 minutes late. Because of this delay, our visit to Birkenau was rushed and lasted only 10 minutes; we were unable to see almost anything.
Furthermore, the coordinator was unable to manage the logistics or provide clear instructions. This caused us to lose even more time, as no one knew the correct meeting points before or after the tour.
It was non acceptable for almost 210euro (2pax).
Anyway, the visiting of the Camp was great and intense. The guide (provided by the Camp) was good.
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Thank you for sharing your experience, and we’re truly sorry for the frustration caused on the day of your tour.
For last-minute reservations, pickup times are sometimes confirmed the evening before, as final entry slots are assigned directly by the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum. We sincerely apologize for the delay at pickup and for the confusion that followed upon arrival. This is not the experience we aim to provide.
We regret that the delays affected the time spent at Birkenau and that the on-site coordination did not feel clear or well organized. Your feedback has been shared with our operations team so we can improve communication and logistics for future guests.
We’re glad to hear that the visit itself and the museum guide were meaningful, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to highlight both the positives and the areas where we fell short.
Eliona_S, Jan 2026
Do not book any activities with this company. I paid €200 for an activity that included hotel pick-up, a visit to Auschwitz, and return to the hotel. The day before the activity, the driver confirmed the pick-up address (just outside Krakow) and told me what time he would arrive. The next day at 6:20 a.m., the driver informed me that he would not be picking us up because we were not in Krakow and that we would have to find our own way to the activity. We therefore had to pay an additional €80 for an Uber to get there. On the return trip, he also refused to take us back to the hotel and instead drove us to Krakow city center, so we had to pay for another Uber. The company admitted to making a mistake in confirming the address but refused any compensation for a partial refund. Furthermore, the driver drove recklessly on the return trip and endangered his passengers by remaining on his phone the entire time (for 1.5 hours!). This company is engaging in predatory tourism at the expense of the deportees and victims of Auschwitz. 👏 The tour itself was great, however, we were with too large a group, so the tour was very rushed and we didn't have time to see everything. In any case, if you are a tourist, beware, they take full advantage and scam people. The company was shameful during our online exchanges. Book directly through the Auschwitz website and definitely not through Viator!!!!
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry for the frustration this situation caused and understand how stressful it was on the day of the tour.
Our records show that the pickup address initially provided was outside of Kraków city, while the booking selected a Kraków hotel pickup option. Based on the information received, our team confirmed the pickup in good faith. When the discrepancy became clear on the morning of the tour, we immediately informed you and suggested alternative solutions so you could still join the visit.
We regret that this caused additional travel costs and inconvenience. Return transportation was provided to Kraków city center, in line with the selected service area. Group size, timing, and guides are determined by the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum, and we’re pleased to hear that the visit itself and the guide were meaningful.
We appreciate your feedback and take it seriously as part of improving our communication and verification process.
Ethan_P, Jan 2026
A must-do when visiting Poland, and this tour is a good way of visiting Auschwitz. They offer a pick-up and drop-off service at your hotel, though we were a bit squeezy at the back of the minivan. Our tour guide was excellent and it was a very powerful and sobering experience at both camps. We paid €15 per person for our driver to prepare meal boxes for us, and it was a bit difficult to eat in the vehicle and with a short time (10mins) but it was necessary especially considering the tour began at 5.40am. Overall, a we had a positive experience and would recommend this especially to families wanting to have an easier journey to and from Auschwitz.
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Thank you very much for your kind and thoughtful review. We’re delighted to hear that you found the tour meaningful and that our guide helped make this powerful experience informative and respectful.
We appreciate your comments regarding the transport and meal boxes and will certainly take them into consideration as we continue improving comfort for our guests, especially on early departures. We’re glad overall that the service made the journey easier for you and your family.
Thank you for your recommendation, and we hope to welcome you again in the future.

Our trip to Auschwitz was an incredibly powerful and moving experience. It was very well organised and gave us a real sense of the history and importance of the site. Our driver, Matthew, was absolutely lovely-friendly, professional, and made the journey comfortable and smooth.
Everything was handled brilliantly from start to finish. I would highly recommend th rip and the company to anyone considering it.

Pickup on time in front of our house at 6:50am, in a minibus for 8, so we went to other spots to pick others. Then a 1,5 hours drive on small roads with a russian driver that did not speak a word of english (but drove very safely). When we arrived, they had tickets ready so no need for queuing, which was really the reason why i took this agency, so it was ok (especially as temperature was -5 degrees). Good tour, though a bit rushed in our view, even though it took 3 hours for the two camps. There was little time to stop and think through it, just fast walk all the way. Still. Worth a visit for sure. FInally I had to insist to the organiser for the taxi to take the motorway home (obviously he wanted to save a few euros, but for 8 people paying over 100€ each, that was not acceptable). We finally got home much faster. So overall good, worth it, and the agency is serious. Just a shame that for this price, there is no coffee, no right to eat in the minivan etc. It feels a bit strange to see business being conducted this way over the holocaust. Yet this is not specific to this agency clearly that was serious overall.
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful review. We’re glad you appreciated the punctual pickup, skip-the-line tickets, and overall organization. We also value your honest feedback regarding the pace of the tour, return journey, and onboard amenities—this helps us improve. Thank you for recognizing our professionalism, and we’re glad the visit was ultimately worthwhile for you.
